i use a quite agressive all golden shaman bloddlust x2 deck that so far i got from rank 16 to 9 so far this season playing around only 30 games i ll put the deck in hearthpwn and join to that
so most of the objective of the deck is early game control with sticky creatures like the deathratlles ones. with cult master normaly it can draw me 2-3 cards, and with the loot horaders and the mana tide you are sure to at least do not run out of cards too fast.
the concept is flood the board with minions you can recover a body if cleared to assure bl potential
i change beetween 1x seas giant or one imp master depending of the meta. if bgh still rampant i use the imp for quicker recovery after a board clear (if unanswered alone with some totems it can make a 20 damage bl), but if the bgh is rarer so the nearly sometimes free sea giant is quite nice.
the burst is awesome. especially with the quite unexpected double leeroy. but it is not esencial if you do not got a leeroy on ahnd but yes the reincarnate using it in a nerubian egg to add preasure is also a good use of this card.
rogue : turn 2 coin raging worgen . turn 3 backstab the raging and triple cold blod.. my quickest lose in arena so far
warrior : turn 9. warrior i had the 2/3 that gives charge in play. i play gorewhol with th 2/3 that gaisna tack from your weapon for 16 damage burst.
druid : turn 4 he has a swordsmith in board. he plays acolite into taunt mark of nature and next turn he copies it. a 2/7 with taunt that each times he draws you card is crazy it won him the game. (it was my only loss in a 12 run game!!)
Given that (according to Blizzard) Legend rank is home to less than the top .5% of Hearthstone players
Then 99.5% of players are not really going to care about this?
I think that a lot of unused accounts (given on WoW pack for example) enters on this math though. But I know what you mean... I don't know if it is because of the people I watch and I'm friend with, but the legend seems so more common than this rate of 0,5
legend is aproximately 3000 people in each region ( but most of them arives in last week. in 14 it was 550 in 21 1k now 2775), so it is 9 000, not a lot for a 20 000 000 players but beeing 75% under rank 20 the real base is less like 5 000 000, but this 10 000 most of them are the ones buying packs, so having them happy is quite important to blizzard. (for example a lot of wow achievements are avaiable to less than 10 000, like firsts of the realm or others.)
nuba you are 100% right about the lack of rewards at legend. i ranked quite fast and before legend i fighted against some of the best eu players (savjz, zealot, kolento), so once i arrived at legend i did not saw any aditional reward at Winning, what diffrence beeing top 16 or 2000?? so i put myself an objectif : beeing the last eu player ( so at least my reward would be to know how many legends would be at the end of the season) and played troll decks, and if i was wining i concede. it looks absurd but you are right at legend now with no blizzcon qualifiers why even to try to win after arriving at legend?
this meta is still not consolidated. from the time i was legend (the 14th) i have been playing troll decks in legend (randuim, pirates, all legendary, lorewalker cho bloodlust, only dragons druid... ), so now i face people ranks 5-4 , but the meta is so shifted that some people even think they are serious deck and sometimes it wins. i see more warlocks than before but not a one class half meta like before the nerf. i still do not see any consolidation of it at all, but maybe others players experience are diffrent.
easily half of the request are for insulting, others are out of curiosity (i had a lot of them.. because i was playng randuim at legendary (ps :2770 legends in eu right now (i am the last xd))) and others just because the game was epic. so i prefer to risk a 1 minute bm for the cahnce of an interesting conversation so i always accept.
lol even more! leeroy+windfurry+ rockbite x2 = 24 damage for 9 mana. if we let one flametongue he turn before 28 damage... but yep shaman keeps leeroy burst!
now i am beeing playing randuim at legend because i found it extremely fun and helps some of my oponents to arrive to legend faster.
what i found crazy is the value i can obtain from Lorewalker Cho in some of the match ups ;specially shaman and rogue. behind a taunt he can absorb one spell and giving you one, and if not it can prevent your oponent from playing theirs. (so or tempo gain or a 2 for 1, they use one spell and you get it)
i think in decks with few spells and a lot of taunts it can be a nice card in next season, post-nerf. like zoo and ramp druid. What is your opinion?
thinkmaster is still playable in a control heavy meta and vs a miracle rogue heavy meta. see last season even trump used it in legendary warior even over loatheb
Yep ... Like changing class last season I played the same amount of games with controlish shaman and went rank 9 this season with warior and ramp Druid I am rank 2.... The meta is not fit for shamans i veery rarely see one
as a midrange shaman i destroy very easily priest or control warrior, nearly 80% win rate in last 20 match against each. the problem is that vs hunters you lost unless you oponent make huge missplays or you have a godly draw (8 wins of 35 matches).
i am at an average of 6-8 one thing that can help you , apart from building a solid deck or choosing when to trade, is timing. The firsts 10 days of the month i found the arena is easier because most of the good players are playing ranked to get to legend. (even if you found some you found less).Second time of the day, better playing during prime time 7h-11h ,at you region, you go the biggest chance to face casuals. Thirds abuse realesed content (now kind of useless), during the realeases of naxx content, i only scored 12 wins arenas, most of the people would be killing the bosses. Maybe i am wrong about it but is very subjective.

i think it is a very interesting idea the x1 doomsayer with boardwipes.
but why not including thalanos , it helps ccle and speccially in this deck the spell damage can be a good help.
