Hi everyone, i started playing hearthstone in December 2013, few months before the open beta started. I've always been a casual player until 2-3 months ago, where i started caring a bit more about the game and got rank 8 in constructed(where i actually sit). Anyway I always played Arena as soon as i had 150g to spend and never got more than 7 wins (average 2-3 wins though). I'm reading lot of guides and pretty much always pick the best cards i get, taking care of my mana curve and getting some removals/spells. When i play i always try to get board control, having at least 1 minion on the board more than him, and killing what he summons. But lot of times i run out of cards or sometimes they just hit me face all game and finish me off with a Pyroblast or something.
Anyone knows what I should improve? I'm really desperate, watching guides and arena tier lists is not helping me at all. I'm not saying that i want to average 7-8 wins, but at least 5-6 would be a great start. Thank you in advance :)
Knowing when to trade and when to go for the face is a tricky skill to master. If you average 7-8 wins then you are free rolling Arena. Only the absolute best players get to that level. Don't always pick "the best card" you have to look at your curve and have 6-8 legitimate 2 drops along with 8-10 5 mana or greater cards for a well rounded "value" deck. Right now the meta is all over the place because of the new cards. Keep working on your game and you will continue to progress. While some parts of HS are a science Arena is more of an art form due to having to focus on mana curve and not being able to copy an existing successful deck. Good luck.
Take notes on your games. Why did you lose each one? No early game? Too many spells? Too many high cost minions? Not enough removal? Starting there can help identify weak points in your game.
I sometimes realize that probably i shouldn't trade because i can't stand their "lategame minions" but is it possible to make it to 7-8 wins just by going face every game?
i am at an average of 6-8 one thing that can help you , apart from building a solid deck or choosing when to trade, is timing. The firsts 10 days of the month i found the arena is easier because most of the good players are playing ranked to get to legend. (even if you found some you found less).Second time of the day, better playing during prime time 7h-11h ,at you region, you go the biggest chance to face casuals. Thirds abuse realesed content (now kind of useless), during the realeases of naxx content, i only scored 12 wins arenas, most of the people would be killing the bosses. Maybe i am wrong about it but is very subjective.

Watch Kripp and Trump playing on Twitch. They play lots of arena and often make 12 wins and really know how to play the 'value' game.
Other than that, keep playing and try not to get disheartened - the wins will come!
I have been recording my arenas lately and posting them on Youtube, you are welcome to check them out. I average 5-9 wins.
