Anything with "If frozen do something" and does not do face damage has been total trash.

Davaretta posted a message on New Card - HecklebotPosted in: NewsThis fucking thing is going to be in every single deck for the next 2 years. It is an anti combo deck God.
3/8 also makes it a good Rez Priest card.

nashdiesel posted a message on Malthael Isn't The Only One Reaping Souls - 8% of Blizzard Laid Off, Dev Teams Increasing, Message From J. Allen BrackPosted in: NewsThe idea is that learning soft skills in a professional setting is much easier to teach than learning how to code. You are right that excelling at both things is rare; those people generally become managers and there aren't as many of those.
That doesn't mean developers at these companies need to raise their Charisma score to 20 to be successful, it just means they need to write unit tests for their code and learn how to write user stories for the work they do and maybe take social media training. It's not that big of an ask.

nashdiesel posted a message on Malthael Isn't The Only One Reaping Souls - 8% of Blizzard Laid Off, Dev Teams Increasing, Message From J. Allen BrackPosted in: NewsIn many tech companies there is a shift to make almost everyone on staff a developer. Then the developers are expected to take on extra roles that otherwise might be filled by extra staff: Quality Assurance, Product Management, Project Management, and Community Management.
Riot has been doing this for a few years now, and a lot of other tech companies are making a similar shift. The idea is that if you staff your entire company with developers you indeed have to pay individual employees more money but those people are more versatile. 2 Developers that do coding, QA, project management tasks and community relations are more efficient than 1 developer, 1 QA engineer, 1 PM and one CM doing the same thing.
When you see someone like Iksar on Reddit answering questions that's a bi-product of this line of thinking.
I'm not saying my specific examples are exactly what Blizzard is doing here, but it's not surprising they are laying off non development staff. Blizzard is an old company with an older culture. This appears to be a big cultural shift for them that a lot of Silicon Valley has already adopted.

Psy_Kik posted a message on What would you like most from Witchwood?Posted in: General DiscussionMore cards like Gnomeferatu or Dirty Rat that screw with your opponent directly. Maybe make them more attainable too, rather epic all the time.
More interesting mechanics - the even/odd cheaper/justicarr hero power is dull, whether it turns out to be good or not.
Less high roll cards that are good even if they whiff or fizzle. Possible downside needs to be significant if the possible upside is huge.

Syndicate posted a message on Legend Malygos Druid - You Need to Play This Deck! Ft. Guide From StanCifkaPosted in: NewsWith all the respect to Stancifka as a player, but i do not recommend this deck at all right now. Especially not, if you have to craft the Twig of the World Tree.
I'm a regular viewer of Stancifka, but this deck is UNPlAYABLE on Europe, i think.
Every deck runs weapon removal. 9 out of 9 games, i faced weapon hate on Rank 3.If it's not enough the most played class is Druid right now, which will have like 40 armor (and max health) by endgame, due to the fact you have absolute ZERO pressure as a Combo Deck.
This deck requires GOD DRAWs to be consistent, for example:
Against Control you need : Ramp > Ramp > Twig > Defense > Removals) , meanwhile against aggro : Ramp > Removal > Removal > Twig > Ramp > Survive.
Even if you managed to ramp fast, but you don't draw Ultimate Infestation, you will likely lose.
He played this on Asia today, he is 2-3 with it at the moment. One of his game was like
Turn 2: He topdeck Wild Growth
Turn 3: He topdeck Twig of the World Tree
Turn 5: He topdeck Spreading Plague
He would have lost the game on spot without Spreading Plague.
The decks have no other win condition but OTK. Stancifka said you can win by "The Lich King value or Spreading Plague into Branching Paths" .
That's true, the chance that a single The Lich King will win you the game is negligible, the other Combo requires you, to lose the board first or you have to play Token Druid.
Now that this Deck has it's own POST on the most read Hearthstone website. I think even more people will use weapon removal or just counter-decks.
I personally think, the Quest version is better right now, if you want to play OTK anyways. You can achieve the combo faster, not to mention you are not punished by weapon removals. -

LittleOgre posted a message on Troll Quest Rogue.Posted in: RogueSecret: it is actually about Tess Greymane and is featuring N'Zoth. I just thought it would be fun seeing people concede after I play the quest. It is actually possible to complete the quest with the Fireflies or the Skeletons. I even managed to complete the quest with worthless imps, lol:

Implementing a superintelligent 50% win rate algorithm would consume so much freaking time and maintenance costs that every senior developer would say: No I don't do it. If we don't do an algorithm we will probably end up at 50% anyhow ;)
A Junior Developer would implement a 50% winrate algorithm which is only correct in 50% of the times ;)

There is only one thing for sure. Don't leave something on board for turn 7. Because the chance that your opponent has a Bonemare in hand is 100%.

I adopted this deck and made a much more greedier version of it. Of course it is still a meme deck, but I am running a win streak through ranks 17-13.
This deck here is way too slow. So I kicked out all the slow cards like Holy Nova and Spirit Lash and replaced them with cycle cards. Much faster. The idea is: cycle your own deck. Then use Benedictus to refresh :)

You should try out that deck by yourself to figure out that this can happen in 1 out of 20 games. This deck is far away from autopiloting razakus autowin bullshit!

Hm, made it to rank 3 und back to rank 5 dumpster where I am stuck now with only shitty mulligans. Feels bad man :(

I am sick of this Razakus Priest. It is the worst deck ever to play against and it seems they ALWAYS have everything they need in the first 15 cards they draw.

I made the same experience recently. I got three legendaries in one single draft and again two lengendaries the next day. Not worth to mention the drafts where I get a single legendary.
