Forbidden Healing is bugged. The spell cost zero, yet does damage to you equal to mana spent after casting.
That's not a bug that's how the card functions. Forbidden Healing costs X mana, where X is how much you spent and thus take X damage.
No, it cost zero mana and spends all your mana after being played.
Update: The bug is intermittent. Sometimes it deals the mana spent and sometimes not. Can't figure any pattern to it.
Second update: After some testing I've discovered that:
Forbidden healing NEVER spends any mana
If you have more health than unspent mana, it will deal damage to you equal to your unspent mana and then heal for twice that much (effectively healing you 1 for each unspent mana without spending that mana)
If you have less health than unspent mana, it will heal you for twice your unspent mana for free! No damage, no mana spent
Bummer. PO is fun for various combos. Plus, it's a removal that costs you a minion, unlike many vanilla removal spells.
I don't see how using PO to get Leeroy to 14 attack is all that different from a 20/20 Cthun, anyfin, a huge Nzoth, or a 10/10 and 11/11 jade being dropped on the same turn. It's just a different late game win condition.
Really? Leeroy/PO requires 3-4 cards with no prior setup (or 1 proc of emporer) for instant huge charge burst. A 20/20 cthun requires you to build most of your deck around it a slowly build it, as does an 11/11 jade. And while you can make a solid n'zoth with just 3-4 big minions, you have to play those minions first, hope they don't get morphed/entombed, and they don't have charge when played.
Would have rather seen Auctioneer gone. Conceal is not nearly as powerful without Auctioneer. Maybe I'm just salty because I've lost twice to Jade Druids in the past two days who drew half their deck on turn 6 with Auctioneer, coin and double innervate (not to mention drawing 3 cards for 2 mana with wild growth at 10 mana).
I'm fairly confident that OTK paladin is the most consistent deck. Turn 2 wins are very possible and if they let you live until turn 4 you win almost every time, and with the small creatures this one counters Greater Arcane Missiles to make it harder for mage to get their damage in in time.
Just make it to turn 7 with decent health and Archmage Antonidas in your hand with a burn card and you can Fireball your opponent to death.
Just make it to turn 7? Do you know how hard this is. Most games end on turn 3, a large portion end on turn 2. The "late" game decks are decks that have to get to turn 4 to cast Barnes into Malygos to hit you for 30.
Seriously. I just won by only playing 2 cards on turn 1. Poor opponent didn't even get a turn...
Just what I wanted. I usually play it with Sword of Justice anyway, so it will be 4/2 instead of 4/3. I can now kill my opponent's STB on turn 1 with my own patches, and can swap out that awful Argent Lance for Light's Justice to also kill opponent's STB on turn 1 and get my own pirates out faster.
Advice: You're kidding yourself if you think you have "free time" between graduation and July 25. Bar prep starts immediately after graduation and should be treated like a full time job for those 7-8 weeks. You will be busier than you were in law school. PLEASE don't let Hearthstone be the reason you failed the bar. Also, after you take the bar, your brain will be mush for a week or two. Not sure how it will affect your quest.
Weapons are kind of direct-dmg spell using your health as a ressource. They are important for some(not my special friend Thrall of course) weapon-classes because they dont have much other tools for removal or reach.
I think the bigger problem is upgrading the durability to gain that extra charges "for free" and do some serious amount of additional dmg.
Except that, save Paladin, all the weapon classes of tons of removal spells and reach:
Just another reason why Paladin sucks. They have equality combo (needs 2 cards to work), consecration, hammer of wrath (way over-costed), avenging wrath (too random), Holy wrath (even more random) and enter the coliseum (a "board clear" the lets your opponent keep their best minion)
Hearthpwn: "Polygon recapped their trip to Blizzard a few months ago to discuss the Standard format alongside other community members. We've recapped the important parts below . . . We will see two expansions per year (start and end) and one adventure (middle). At least for now."
Blizzpro: "The Polygon article does state that these details are not set in stone, they were just talked about. Blizzard has NOT announced that 2 expansions + 1 adventure per year is what will be released so this is not confirmation. We apologize for the misleading title of the article."

Lay on Hands = zero mana, draw three cards. Nice.

Best of luck in both.

Seems there's some confusion on this point:

Has Blizzard announced anything?
