I think it'd be more balanced as a minion than a cheap spell. Obviously there's synergy with Fandral/Untapped Potential, but I think there might be a need for druid cards that synergize with Decay for this to work. Still not sure about the stats.

It seems pretty obvious they were spells. Minions have attack, health, and if they do a one-off effect when they're played, a battlecry. These cards had no attack, no health, and no battlecry. They did, however, have text that's basically identical to what a spell would have. Therefore, the natural assumption would be that they were a spell with the wrong card frame. It's basically Occam's Razor - the explanation with the fewest assumptions is the one that should be accepted (until more information comes to light). Either a) they got the wrong frame (one assumption), or b) they forgot attack, they forgot health, and they forgot the battlecry (three assumptions).
The difference is that Lord Jaraxxus is a minion with the demon tribe tag, who destroys your hero and then becomes your hero. Not only have we never seen a straight up hero card that ended up having a tribe, we've actually seen the evidence that heroes by default don't have any tribe regardless of how much it should seem like they should - if you have played Frost Lich Jaina (giving your elementals lifesteal for the rest of the game) and then later become Ragnaros via Majordomo Executus, Rag doesn't have lifesteal (his hero power doesn't generate health). That is, he isn't an elemental. Can't see why they'd make Galakrond a dragon when there's zero precedent for them to do so, and actually evidence to the contrary through Rag.

Arcane Intellect + 2/2 weapon is not absolutely bad.

Here's my first sketch. Any feedback would be welcome, either regarding balance, flavor or theme.
My biggest concern right now is that I don't have unifying mechanics, in the same way Naxx had Deathrattles and BRM had Dragons. But LoE didn't have, either, so I guess it's not such a big deal.

Okay, sorry for the double post, but I have come up with an idea.
What if, instead of Orcs invading Azeroth, Humans invaded Draenor? In this scenario, you'd have to help Anduin Lothar to fight several races living in Draenor in order to conquer this planet.
However, I'm not sure which of the following approaches I should follow:
I find the first scenario very interesting, but it means several iconic races (such as the Broken Ones) won't make any sense at all. Plus, a non-desolated Draenor doesn't look like Draenor.

AFK is strong, sure, but I feel that heroes who can give you extra stats in the early game are even stronger. Rat King, Brann, Yogg, Daryl or even Sindragosa can beat a turn 3 AFK with a bit of luck, while still being higher in the Tavern upgrade race AND having their Health intact.

At its absolut best, it's a Spreading Madness that doesn't hit face.
That said, it fits the Handlock archetype, which is Control oriented, so no hitting face sois worth something.
