Where the FUCK did this Keleseth/Spiteful druid BULLSHIT come from all of a sudden.  Fucking 4 games in a row I get matched against a druid running this garbage.  What happened to their combo decks and who's the asshole that made this shit the new norm. Seriously if you play druid GO FUCK YOURSELF.

I got Crystalsmith Kangor as my free legendary, and Whizbang out of the 19 packs I used my gold on.  I'm pretty cool with that cause I dusted most of my collection a while back because I only like to play Paladin.  Jumped in to some ranked with Whizbang and went 3-0, the recipes aren't that bad actually, and now I have some solid decks to complete gold quests with.

Not everything from Prismatic has to make it a 1 cost for it to be extremely valuable.  Yeah a 1 cost Tyrion/Lich King/Tarim is great but even if they end up being 2-4 that's still crazy value on those cards.  Same goes for spells like Kangor's/Dino Size/Spikeridge/Lay on Hands

My new OTK deck for this

     https://www.hearthpwn.com/decks/1146177-yes-boom

    [deck]AAECAZ8FBAD0BfYHoM4CDQAARowB6AHOA8gE1wXWBt0KuMcC2McCwP0CAA==[/deck]

Not enough survivability.  You still have to make it to turn 10 to dump whatever 1 cost spell you made in to a 10 cost assuming you're going for the swap with Mechathun.

geist doesn't care if it's reduced or not

    turn 4 Prismatic Lens

turn 5 Prismatic Lens + Skulking Geist

turn 6 Mecha'thun Wild Pyromancer Equality

But Prismatic says straight up swap the costs and Geist says destroy 1 cost.  I get what you're saying by Geist ignoring any reduced or increased costs and treating it as the original card, but I'm not sure it's going to work like that.  If it does, then this would probably be the only viable OTK with Mechathun and props to you.  The way I'm seeing it though is that it's going to literally make the cost of a secret 10 and Geist will ignore it.

Geist works on base cost.  It wont destroy a 1 mana Frost Nova fetched by Primordial Glyph, and will destroy a 5 mana Naturalize fetched by Bright Eyed Scout, for example.

Right, I understand, and Prismatic is going to swap the two base costs causing Geist to see a 1 mana base cost as a 10 mana base cost, and therefore, not destroy it.

Edit: Ok, I just watched the gameplay of it in action and it does modify the mana cost (Green/Red numerals for Reduced/Increased) which makes me believe y'all are right on this one.  So, that's pretty crazy cause that Mechathun deck could really work.

posted a message on Mecha'Thun is too strong.
    Quote from CypherBenkes >>

Thought I would write the deck idea up. Full explanation below.

    Maly'Thun Build
Export to BBCode Export to Cockatrice Export to MarkDown Export to Html Clone this deck
    Minion (10) Ability (20)
    Loading Collection

Looking a lot of the discussion over about Mecha'thun in Druid, I wanted to put together a Maly'thun Druid deck finally to better express the idea for the deck. As much as I don't want this to become something that's very prevalent, I want to better expand on a lot of the idea here.

    1. The incredible deck effect from Hemet, Jungle Hunter

We're talking about a full eradication of your deck. I wanted to find a way to make it okay for Naturalize and Innervate to get destroyed with no problem. Hemet destroys decks full of cheap cards. With this idea, you can draw into Hemet, and when you do, you play him if you can afford to at the time. If you draw Hemet on curve, you only need either Moonfire and Voodoo Doll or Naturalize. You can put a Witchwood Piper in the deck if you need to, as it'll draw your Voodoo Doll.

Part of the reason it's okay to play Hemet on curve, if you have your a one or two of your cheap cards that you need, there are other cards in your deck you need to draw at times before you hit 10 mana, as you could wipe out some of your cards you gain mana with.

    2. The threat of a Skulking Geist

With Geist being able to destroy your Naturalize spells, you need an alternate method of killing Mecha'thun. Looking over the cards we have, you have the option of using Innervate with Voodoo Doll and Moonfire, which currently sits at 0 mana. This will help, and if your Mecha'thun is gone...

    3. Flobbidinous Floop

Having played a Mecha'thun, if Floop is in hand, you can play Floop as a copy of Mecha'thun, followed by either Voodoo Doll and Moonfire or a Naturalize.

    4. Ultimate Infestation

It is not required to play UI in this deck. The deck has other concerns at 10 mana, and if you've hit 10 mana, you've likely drawn enough of what's here to have already started getting Mecha'thunready to go. If you've played Hemet, you likely don't have a deck to speak of. Drawing 5 cards with no deck, from 0 fatigue damage, you're taking 15 damage. You're also spending your turn to summon something that doesn't contest the board, and gaining armor to maybe mitigate fatigue damage. UI is not a board clear, and this is a deck that can't be bothered to have UI get in the way. If you can afford it, sure, but you're also trying to expend the cards in your hand.

    5. Malygos

Having a secondary win condition is good. Often times, you need something as bait. If a card is played (Gnomeferatu and Demonic Project, for example) that can destroy some of your cards, Malygos and parts of the Maly win condition can play shield at times by taking the hit in place of Mecha'thun. Not always a guarantee that it'll work like that, but even if Mecha'thun is destroyed like this, Malygos can put quite the dent in someone's face, and you'll sometimes have enough damage to finish the match.

    6. Juicy Psychmelon and Dreampetal Florist

Juicy Psychmelon is capable of drawing Dreampetal FloristMalygos and Mecha'thun in one cast. You have a lot of what enable your cards off this draw, and your deck will become smaller. (If only JP also drew 6 mana minions, it'd draw Hemet, too.) Dreampetal Florist can enable a Malygos play, it can reduce the cost of Mecha'thun, and if you're feeling daring, you could play two Mecha'thun in the same turn.

Once your opponent takes care of Malygos and Floop you pose zero threat.  Also, in your goal to trigger Mechathun you've given your opponent mana crystals with biology project and possibly draw if you have to use 1 or both Naturalizes against them.  That leaves you with the only option of tanking the rest of the game with Spreading Plague, spells, and voodoo dolls hoping that you have at least 1 combo left as your last cards to kill your own Mechathun before they kill you or you die from fatiguing yourself.  It's pretty much the same scenario across the board with people trying to get this to work.  It's near impossible against anyone that knows what's coming, and even if they're clueless you still have an extremely low chance.

The only reason I voted Bad instead of Dust It is because I don't believe dusting cards is a good idea.

This card will never get you anywhere in the rankings, ever, in the course of its lifespan. Totally fine to dust it.  Conditions are ridiculous, and easily countered if opponent knows it's in your deck.

Edit: I take it back a little. I guess if you're not relying on the effect and just want it as a 10 mana 10/10 body it can be used, and it's a mech so magnetic works. But, the OTK is gonna be extremely low probability of happening.

With some pretty crazy cards coming to BDP, why hasn't Blizz ported over any versions of the cards they introduced in the Taverns of Time arena event?  Thought it would be pretty cool to see some remnants of those cards making it in to this expansion.  Like, Bronze Broodmother, the 5/5 Pally dragon that summoned a 1/1 when drawn.  Just make it a magnetic mech for the expansion and boom you have a cool card.  Was anyone else hoping they'd do stuff like that?  Think we'll end up seeing any of those cards in a future reveal?

The good thing about this is you won't  absolutely NEED to combo this in one turn to save your ass.  Can throw taunts out in subsequent turns, if you're odd - 2 dudes/cheap minions can do the trick,  and you'll have more than 1 turn to play or top deck consecration/avenging wrath/pyro.

It's interesting, but my experience in MTG tells me that double healing won't do much more than regular healing would do. I actually have a white lifegain deck as one of my main Magic decks, and there's not nearly enough room to include a double healing effect in it (and MTG even has more room for it, given that they don't have an upper health limit).

See now that would be a cool effect for this card: Remove your hero's health limit.
