posted a message on My thoughts on Wild vs Standard

Yes, rogues struggle, but as soon as beast druid is refined, Druid of the Fang gives the deck a significat boost in Wild.

I just like the slower meta in Wild a lot, and zoo/secret pally have failed to ruin it for me so far!

posted a message on Hasn't Blizzard learnt the dangers of making minions that replace themselfs when they die?
    Quote from OldKeith >>

I suppose you are referring to Kindly Grandmother. Hunter really needs sticky minions to fight for board, as its hero power is simply useless in that aspect, and has very poor comeback mechanics. I don't think it is overpowered, I would argue cards like Shielded Minibot or Haunted Creeper were way more powerful.

Yup, tried the grandma in Wild, and it was very underwhelming. Even the 1 extra health of the first body matters when clearing dudes for example.
Wild is no more broken than Standard imo. Everyone has learned to deal with belcher and boom at this point.

posted a message on What is easier to climb ranks in ? Standard or wild?

I got to rank 5 in both in June. It felt very similar in terms of difficulty. However, Wild has more variety and the meta changes faster.

Getting legend is probably easier in Wild, as the true tryhards with tournament aspirations play Standard.

posted a message on is ranked balanced or just random player with random cards !?

A very important part of ranking up is sucking up your pride of playing "fun" or hommemade decks and swich to something actually good. That Yogg-mage fits both of those categories.

Some times, even good decks stop working if their counters get too popular.

posted a message on Brann + Black Knight

Honestly, I would have loved multiple-targetting to be a thing in the game, especially with targetted battlecries like tbk and bgh+brann.

But they decided that it would be complicated in this game, so it is not in. Everything targetting twice or more is random or 2x the same target for some reason. Cobra Shot is the closest they get

No idea why... but I am damn sure they did not plan on making brann when designing this.

    tldr

I believe the point you're trying to make is "tempo mage" is made up almost entirely of the basic mage cards. The class is so strong it can make a lean, no nonsense deck that does pretty well exclusively on its own.

I play that kind of deck on my new account, and it is fun to play, and can steal wins from most bad players.
However, as in pre-nax, that is not enough to be viable even as a tier 4 deck.
Constructed is a harsh place, where only  decks with broken matchups, cards and synergies will survive...

and as People becoming dumber and dumber nowadays, current rules and cardsets will also be 2 complicated in future. then we have a 10 Card set in game (one 1 mana Card, one 2 mana Card,...). kappa

There are tonnes of very casual players roaming the bottom of the ladder, but together, I am sure they generate a lot of revenue. Even veterans would not bother ever spending more than 10 mins studying the game and look up decks.
I see an issue having to label all spells (or not?) and then having certain synergies with all spells and some with only certain ones. For the schools to have any impact, you need to construct a whole new system of synergies and a bunch of minions for each school. Oh, and poison (damage over time) is missing!
I like the concept, but IMO, without any spell-school synergies (except some freeze) added yet, it is simply too late for such a major change to the game.

posted a message on Card Reprints? Moves to Classic?

Shrinkmeister, Deathlord and Dark Cultist should have been in already, I have no clue why they were rotated out. They were clarely filling gaps in the basic set, and were not intended to be rotated out when they were made.

If they want to keep priest viable, they need to reprint similar cards every year...

Firelands Portal is way too slow for an aggro deck. Swich for Ice Lance and get Bloodmage Thalnos+Ice Block

posted a message on Is this it? End of the control decks forever?
    Quote from uhframpo >>
    Quote from gagan_dugan >>

Pre-standard zoo was really a tempo deck, now it's more aggro than tempo... Demonzoo was a midrange deck, with some tempo plays in there, but essentially a cool midrange deck. But with zoo, it all depends who you play against. If you're up against aggro Shaman, you play control. If you play against midrange Druid, you're aggro. Its role changes quite often, but every zoolock deck is full of tempo plays regardless. In Wild, the best Zoolock deck is a tempo/combo deck, where you finish with something like Leeroy+PO+Soulfire for 14, for only 7 mana.

Zoo is a control deck, or in that case youre talking about, its a combo but not aggro (can be played as one tho but that loses easier)
Watch day9. In any matchups between 2 decks, one will always be the control (benefit from a longer game) and one will always be the beatdown (benefit for a shorter game, press for lethal). The roles might change during a match, but knowing which one of the 2 you are is very important.
Because of this, control warrior CAN be the beatdown against decks like control priest, and zoo can be the control against decks like aggro shaman. However, zoo will usually be the beatdown, and as it is beatdown vs all midrange decks (get ahead on board early and snowball FAST), I say it is absolutely an aggro deck.
