Hi, sorry for being off topic, but about 3 weeks ago you commented on my aggro mage deck thread to change ice block for 1-2 drakes, but I don't like the change, but liked the azure drake for more draw as my deck run out of steam fast, so I replaced 1 arcane missiles instead. And I like that change, but I wouldn't replace iceblock. It plays vital role in my strategy to burn opponent down after I lose board control if opponent has low enough hp to draw finishers or have enough mana to play pyroblast for example. Also without ice block the 2 scientists with just 1 secret would be bad and I could just replace both scientists and barrier then, but these secrets are great vs aggro and also can have 1 more turn to life to have chance to burn other decks. How do you like the deck now?

Sorry for posting that here, didn't want to revive my month old forum post (Or should I). Hope you don't mind it.

I actually ended 10-3. Surprisingly one of best cards that I didn't expect much from it was frost nova, because I usually played aggro and gained tempo early and used it to set up 2 turn lethal to prevent opponent from trading board. I did the same tactics on priest with chromaggus when he had 10 hp and frozen board I had 6 minions, but he duplicated 2 damn stupid holy novas and he used holy nova death+heal first turn and 2 holy novas next turn that was just too much. I did the mistake of not looking at his card order so I'd know he has another nova to follow, I'd still kill him if he played only nova, but he used sw:death on my 6/5 and that ruined my plan.

I actually decided to pick junkbot for several reasons apart from heartharena suggesting it more.

For the lolz, great synergy with 8 other mechs in deck and mainly because how often I'd pick junkbot in other situations in arena? Only in extremely rare cases, so I decided to have some fun with junkbot.

I'm at 3-0 now, but in all games junkbot didn't matter, because I just went rushing opponent down and getting my frost nova at the right time to prevent opponent from trading. I had it in 2 games, but first I didn't even played him, but I was leading board so echo would secure me against clears, but with tempo loss. And other game I just locked priest at 4 life turn 9 having his board frozen with 6 minions on board on my side (3 mechs 2 nonmechs and junkbot). Again echo would have been better, but it didn't really matter, because I won easily without junkbot/echo.

So... should I really pick that junkbot? I feel I like echo more, but it's actually situational too. It's better than arcane intellect only with 3 minions on board or more unless you have 2 really awesome minions to copy.

I think echo is better and less situational so I'm more convinced about echo. And why fel reaver? Better than hungry crab or ice block.

I'm using heartharena for help with my draft and I got a lot of cards to make a mechmage style deck now. I have 2x mechwarper 2x chugga 2x wyrm spider tank, piloted shredder mechanical yeti and fel reaver (better than hungry crab or ice block)

So I came into this pick and heartharena seriously suggerted me junkbot over echo of medivh in this situation. I'm still not convinced, what do you think?

posted a message on Silence priest

Well, only silence card is wailing soul and you can choose when you play it. If you have chows/watchers/ogre brutes you can play it, because you benefit from it. If you have sylvanas+northshire cleric you don't play it it's simple as that for me. For example wailing soul is great counter to frost nova/blizzard and best played with ancient watcher zombie chow or ogre brute. Silencing cultists clerics or shields for example is bad, but remember that you can choose to play it when the abbility it gives you more advantage than loss. For example after turn 2 watcher turn 3 cultist is turn 4 soul good, because activating watcher is much more useful than loss from silencing cultist.

posted a message on Silence priest: Fun casual unexpected deck

Are you tired of playing the same decks over and over again? Want to try something just for fun? Then you can try this silence priest I made. I like making new or unexpected decks and play with them to surprise opponents and maybe some of them can work. I'm not saying it's the best deck or best possible decklist for this. I just toyed around with some cards and made into this list which I find interesting and I want to see your opinions if it's good enough or at least playable. I designed it mainly as a fun deck for casual, but maybe it can work. (I'm thinking to change dr boom for something lategame that dodges bgh, but I don't have ysera, so maybe kelthuzad)

posted a message on Flamewalker aggro with a twist.

I usually go to face more than trade, but it's not always the rule. Vs aggros you want to trade more than usual and always trade if this will prevent lethal. I usually trade against high priority targets like knife juggler acolyte of pain or flamewaker for example and when I have good trade opportunity, like trading leper gnome for flame imp/sorcerers apprentice.

You want to go face as much as you can during midgame to get pyroblast/spell combo kill in few turns (Ofc trade if you need it to prevent lethal). For bloodmage thalnos, I like him for 2 reasons 1 card draw 2 I can play him with spell combo I'm holding in hand to have more reach-similar how freeze mage uses it. If you want card with similar purpose, you can try azure drake, but it may be too slow for this deck. Or you can try some card that helps you with aggro approach, like clockwork gnome, arcane golem, leeroy, owl, whatever you feel like it could help you. I don't really know, because I'm currently testing this deck how well it goes against the meta, so I should have tagged it as a deckbuilding instead, because I'd like to see some help/advice/opinions on this deck as it's still under construction, though I already know best and worst matchups.

Hi, I made similar deck to this independently of you. I have lot of similar cards and I'm currently testing my version if it can be better than standard combo druid with lower curve, more aggressive approach and token synergy. I sent you friend invite if you want to talk about it and discuss strategies, deckbuilding and so on in this kind of deck. I can eventually try to help you with that paladin deck you asked in forum.

posted a message on Flamewalker aggro with a twist.

Hi, I made a deck that some people consider pretty original and interesting so I decided to share it here. The standard deck concept flamewaker aggro has already been made, but I added some unexpected cards in it. You have advantage, because you share a lot of cards with standard tempo mage, so you can confuse people. Not sure if it helps you, but opponents mostly expect mech/freeze/tempo mage, not this. Secrets: Everybody expects mirror entity/counterspell so they are more likely to make inferior moves to play around them. In this deck secrets are designed to give you some time to find your finisher spells. Also I play not so common cards like ice lances-additional burst for final blow and pyroblast, same reason when game goes long enough to use it. Playstyle is simple in general, do some early dmg with minions, you can try to control the board a little with flamewakers for example, but you should generally go to face. I added some tech cards: Kezan to counter popular mage/hunter or opponent's kezan, because getting ice block/barrier stolen hurts. And loatheb-self explanatory.

I'm not sure about all cards and some can be changed. This deck can run out of steam fast, so I added 5 card draws, this should be enough, but I'm not sure. What do you think about this deck?

posted a message on Most annoying emotes?

To interpret the result most people of this small sample of 46 people, that can be little biased, as for example new players probably don't use hearthpwn. Almost 2/3 people dislike the most thanks or sorry. I think that's pretty reasonable, these 2 emotes can easily turn into BM, but how do you recognize normal or BM use in some cases?

Thanking opponent for his misplay, or for stealing his secret/minion/or getting good thoughsteal from him is sure BM. You can thank when you manage to get great rng in your side to thank rngesus, but this probably is not best use of emote too, nice use of thanks is probably thanking opponent for good game, not really sure about other nice uses of thanks.

Sorry has the similar problem, if you use sorry after topdecking something that directly win you the game some people can take it as he apologized for his luck and others can take it as BM. You can say sorry if you have good rng or perfect countercard (like kezan vs secret) This is not the nicest way to use emote, but it's not BM I think. If you say sorry after enemy triggers your secret it's just annoying. Not sure about nice use of this emote, maybe something like sorry for my luck if ragnaros hits face of player with 8 hp and 5 minions on board.

posted a message on Most annoying emotes?

Is there any emote which you don't want to hear from opponent, because it annoys you/you consider it rude or BM? If yes, which emote is that? You can also say emotes of which class you don't like, or which emote from which class you don't like to hear the most.

For example I don't like warrior's greetings emote, because it sounds kind of rude to me and it's voice can be very good for BM if an opponent want to (Topdeck brawl into full enemy board? Used alex on to heal at 1 life against aggro? Heh, Greetings) I don't really mind emotes, unless they are clearly used for BM, do I just wonder if some of you who doesn't automatically squelch opponents have emotes you don't like hearing from opponent.

posted a message on Is there any point of building cw without grom and brawl?

Thanks for answers, this was probably my main question if control is worth playing without these 2 cards seen in almost all cw decks (for a good reason ofc) And I tested it in some games in casual, it can work, but I'd rather try ranked with a full deck including brawl+Grom. So I'll just let my version for playing some quests/games for fun, so I can try to learn playstyle of a new archetype for me and eventually I'll complete the deck if I'll like it.
