I'm using heartharena for help with my draft and I got a lot of cards to make a mechmage style deck now. I have 2x mechwarper 2x chugga 2x wyrm spider tank, piloted shredder mechanical yeti and fel reaver (better than hungry crab or ice block)
So I came into this pick and heartharena seriously suggerted me junkbot over echo of medivh in this situation. I'm still not convinced, what do you think?
I like the Junkbot. You have a lot of mechs in your deck and therefore should be able to get him on the board and "buff" him. And he can become a really big threat for your opponent. Sometimes it will be just a 1/5 which is really bad, but Echo is even more situational. You need at least 2 minions or 1 really big dude on the board to get value out of it. If you are behind on the board it is completly useless.
So... should I really pick that junkbot? I feel I like echo more, but it's actually situational too. It's better than arcane intellect only with 3 minions on board or more unless you have 2 really awesome minions to copy.
If I ever have a chance to break the monotony of arena, I go for it. Hobgoblin and grim patron decks can be stupid fun in arena. Never tried junkbot though because you need a lot of mechs, which you do have.
It’s hard to recommend either card without seeing your entire decklist. I personally don’t like echo of Medivh because it requires board control and I play Mage in a defensive board clearing, value play style.
I think you should pick junkbot for fun because you have a lot of mechs and this will probably be the only time you can play it well in your next 100 arena runs.
Here's a 12 win Rogue example where I picked two low rated cards, shadowstep and sinister strike, because they synergize well with my draft. I picked these cards because they were low costing combo activators for my ringleaders.
Junkbot isn't run in constructed mech decks so you wouldn't pick it in an unoptimised arena mech deck. It's just too slow, you need to get two mechs to die for it to be good. Echo of Medivh can often get at least two minions I think.

You can't compare Arena decks with constructed decks. In constructed you don't use it, because you have better synergies and Play more agressive. In Arena it is harder to make use of his ability, but since it not construcetd you don't have so many synergies in Arena in generel. Considering the amount of Mechs it does make sense to take it to have even more Mech Synergies. Even though you can't buff it the turn you Play it, as Long as it Comes on the board with another mech, you put your Opponent in Trouble, since he must overthink the way he trades and what he kills.

I'm not getting your logic here. If you wouldn't play it in constructed because it doesn't synergise well enough, why would you pick it in a format with even less synergy? You wouldn't. Echo of Medivh can be hard to pull off at times, but I'd say its value if you do is much higher than the value for getting Junk Bot to "work" and you can combo it with pretty much any cards. You play it with any board of two or more minions and I'd say it's acceptable.

First of all, in constructed you have enough synergies, but it is not played because other cards simply fit better in mech mage, since it is pretty aggro. However, my point is that a card which is not played in constructed because it has not enough synergies, don't need to be worse in arena just because it has less synergies in arena, since arena in generel don't has so many synergies. So relatively it can have more synergies in arena than in constructed.
Btw: kolentos statement about grim patron was worse ;)

Well it's a fair point that in arena Junk bot is competing against two other random cards, rather than all the other mech synergy cards. But still, it's so bad that I wouldn't ever pick it unless it was over absolutely terrible cards like Captain's Parrot. Junk bot is (quite fittingly) pretty much at the bottom of the pile of epics.

I actually decided to pick junkbot for several reasons apart from heartharena suggesting it more.
For the lolz, great synergy with 8 other mechs in deck and mainly because how often I'd pick junkbot in other situations in arena? Only in extremely rare cases, so I decided to have some fun with junkbot.
I'm at 3-0 now, but in all games junkbot didn't matter, because I just went rushing opponent down and getting my frost nova at the right time to prevent opponent from trading. I had it in 2 games, but first I didn't even played him, but I was leading board so echo would secure me against clears, but with tempo loss. And other game I just locked priest at 4 life turn 9 having his board frozen with 6 minions on board on my side (3 mechs 2 nonmechs and junkbot). Again echo would have been better, but it didn't really matter, because I won easily without junkbot/echo.
I actually ended 10-3. Surprisingly one of best cards that I didn't expect much from it was frost nova, because I usually played aggro and gained tempo early and used it to set up 2 turn lethal to prevent opponent from trading board. I did the same tactics on priest with chromaggus when he had 10 hp and frozen board I had 6 minions, but he duplicated 2 damn stupid holy novas and he used holy nova death+heal first turn and 2 holy novas next turn that was just too much. I did the mistake of not looking at his card order so I'd know he has another nova to follow, I'd still kill him if he played only nova, but he used sw:death on my 6/5 and that ruined my plan.

You picked a Fel reaver in arena :o
I'd definitely pick echo. More cards.

I think echo is better and less situational so I'm more convinced about echo. And why fel reaver? Better than hungry crab or ice block.
How is EoM NOT situational ?
It totaly depends on what and how many usable cards are on board !
Junkbot depends on on how many mechs are in your deck and how how many more
mechs you coulds possibly get in the upcoming draft rounds.
So YES : Junkbot has a potential to be a better card than EoM (as is stated in your screenshot)

Are you envy or do you think it is a bad choice?
