posted a message on Card Nerfs Aug 26th - Including Wild

I hope the Luna's Pocket Galaxy will still be played because I really like that card. In the previous expansions (before Rise of the Mech event) it was unplayable so I think it might be in this one as well since it will be back to 7 mana. We also had good number of great big minions then as well as we have now. Maybe it will find its way to stick to existing decks (maybe with Naga Sand Witch ) since people have been conviced that it is a strong card, but played 1-2 turns later might not be good since opponent can easily build board until that turn, especially if aggro decks become more popular with the upcoming nerfs, and you don't want to do basically nothing against aggro. Plus, the AoE Mage has isn't cheap (except Frost Nova which is the only card that prolongs Mage's turns and survivability and Doomsayer in combination). And with the Conjurer's Calling nerf Mage can't do that with the giants in the early turns if there are swarming minions on the other side threatning to lethal you. I hope you are right about the Luna's Pocket Galaxy being still playable, but as you said, it might be good only against control matchups.

Regarding Boom, as you said, it will add new stuff that can keep aggro in check, so it will still be able to play Boom, only at 9, and still rule the game for 20+ min... ResidentSleeper...zzzz.... Anyway, as I said earlier: " I'm not saying this changed nothing, but also it didn't do much. "

Only discussing the standard mode nerfs since I don't play wild.

I agree with people saying these are lazy nerfs. Especially with Dr. Boom, Mad Genius.

I would prefer the cost of Luna's Pocket Galaxy to be 6 or to have an effect to reduce the minion's cost by 5 (for example) so that you can't play 10 minions in a turn, but instead to play 1-3 minions and not doing anything during that turn. Now, I think the card will again be unplayable. Mage will remain playable class, of course, but it will struggle against warrior in particular if Luna's Pocket Galaxy won't see any play. On the other hand, the nerf to Conjurer's Calling is OK, not happy, not sad, but the problem is not the card. It is the giants that can be cheated out early. Of course that is the point of the giants, but to be paired with the spell is absurd. They should have done something about the giants or the mana reduction system from hand to the battlefield (talking about Kripp's idea). Although, they are buffs to King Phaoris.

The warrior nerf is the laziest because the problem, as other people mentioned, isn't the mana or armor it comes with, but the rush mechanic and hero power. Blast shield is just too good of a hero power. You basically get better Holy Light every couple of turns as armor. When you are close to killing him and they roll that hero power you automatically fall behind for 7 more damage every couple of turns. A single card shouldn't do that. For a reason there are lifesteal, armor gain and taunt minions, with fair stats and abilities. Those cards get killed after 1-3,4 turns while they are on the board, but Boom is there for at least 10+ turns (basing on my experience, not saying this is an absolute truth). I'm not saying this changed nothing, but also it didn't do much. Plus, I think the Omega Devastator is as much problem as Boom, because it should not be normal to, with 2 copies in your deck, to generate 2-4 more copies of this through powerful hero card and 1 mana draw 3. I would at least remove the mech tag.

I don't think the Extra Arms deserved the nerf because you can run a cheap silence in your deck available to all clases to counter it, but I understand the argument behind Blizzard and people wanting the nerf.

posted a message on What's your favorite class? And what class do you hate the most? (Regardless of the meta)

    Favorite: Mage

Since the beginning of HS I always played with that class. I have the golden Jaina with 1000+ wins, golden Anduin with around 600 and golden Maiev with also around 600 wins while I don't have other golden heroes. Mage always finds its spot in the meta that isn't loser. The most fun I had with Mage was when WotOG expansion launched. I know lot of people currently have Luna's Pocket Galaxy problem (including me) so I hope they find the solution for it that won't make it unplayable.

    Dislike: Warrior

Warrior is just broken and frustrating to play against or just bad. Seems Blizzard can't find balance in this one.

posted a message on Beat a Control Warrior? Share your story.

I beat them mostly with my Freeze Quest Mage, but also with Quest Paladin, Deathrattle Hunter with multiple Mechanical WhelpNine Lives and Necromechanic. Even included Archmage Vargoth for extra value. Highlander, Midrange Hunter, Big, Control Shaman, Mecha'thun Zoo Warlock and Bomb Warrior also helped me against them. But the most satisfying win for me is when I played Control Shaman with Archivist Elysiana and Shudderwock. The game lasted forever, but in the end it was worth it to kill them with their own medicine :) .

posted a message on Would Dr. Boom, Mad Genius be more balanced if the battlecry was removed

I would rather remove the "mech" tag from Omega Devastator and make it 5 mana. That way it can't have rush and can't be generated through Omega Assembly and hero power. And perhaps remove the Blast Shield hero power.

posted a message on What is your favorite expansion now?

Whispers of the Old Gods because everyone got C'Thun and the support fot it was cheap (as far as I remeber). The meta was good, every class playable and it also introduced the rotation expansion system.

The other expansion were also good (KotFT, K&C, Un'goro, RoS, SoU,...) but this stands out to me more than every other.

posted a message on Isnt the murloc paladin just the most obnoxious deck ever

Today I beat the Murloc Paladin with Freeze Mage in which I included Raid the Sky Temple and 2 Questing Explorer. Basically, I had Flame Ward and the opponent couldn't attack with the full board because it would die and we just had our hands full and burning cards. I had Doomsayer and Frost Nova ready if needed and lots of good cards. Guess what...I beat him by freezing the board and having giants and other conjured minions. As other people mentioned, it is possible to beat that deck, it just might take time for people to figure out.

posted a message on What deck seems to be strong atm?

I am doing great at rank 5 with Freeze Mage with 3 new cards: Raid the Sky Temple and 2 Questing Explorer. I haven't lost a single game yet. I encountered 2 Quest Shamans, 1 Murloc Paladin, 1 Bomb Warrior, 1 Quest/Token Druid and Tempo Rogue.

I watch most of the streamers you all mentioned above when it comes to the prediction, but I dislike when some of them say "Why would you play this if you can just play this existing deck or that one we currently have?". Why wouldn't you experiment and have fun figuring out would that unusual deck work and does this weird card fit in?

They're not saying you shouldn't have fun and experiment with stuff, they're just trying to figure what the meta will look like. Of course you can play Controlock right now if you want, but how often do you see this on ladder ? I maybe ran into it a couple of times in 4 months but not more. And that's what they're trying to capture.

I didn't say that they said we shouldn't have fun and experiment. I simply meant that why aren't they willing to try something new, fresh, mostly weird and "risky", for example Malygos Druid, even though it is not a great deck at the moment because of the weak tools Druid has now, but it might be something this expansion. Instead, they are promoting existing decks we play for the last month or two that became meta today. I know it is difficult to figure the future meta, even a small part of it, but I think they prefer safe high-winrate decks. I'm not saying that is bad, just that I personally don't like that, that's all.

I don't think you will be able to choose with Shudderwock because you couldn't choose the adaptation either. But nevertheless, pretty nuts with Shudderwock even if you don't choose.

posted a message on New Neutral Card - Conjured Mirage

It seems like a worse neutral Time Out. It gives your opponent a turn to develop because they won't trade minions into it if they can just wait to be shuffled back into deck and won't silence this (unless they have lethal) because it leaves 3/10 minion on board. The only way i see it is in some silence priest with maybe Divine Spirit Inner Fire combo.
