posted a message on Priest concerns

I think Control Priest does pretty decent, in my opinion, as it's a lot more interesting than Dragon Priest. Certain decks are particularly a pain for both types though, since Priests have no choice but to go into late-game, something which decks like Freeze Mage and Handlock excels in; a Warrior with Gorehowl wrecks us hard too.

What I do wish though is for a class, minion card that draws a card once and has a strong body, since usually it's either you draw a lot some games, or draw too few. And neutral cards with card draw aren't very good in priest at times. Personally I believe we already have 2 good 2-drops, contrary to what people would like to believe, but one is very deck specific and the other only seems to be a benefit against aggro decks.

Truly the only problem Priest have in general is consistency, since most of our removals are situational, and blizz thought it was a neat idea to make 4-attack minions the bane of our existence. We have similarities to Shaman and Rogue-play, where conditions and consequences must be met in order to use our damn cards to its full potential, with the risk of losing tempo.

This is only deals with one of the two issues the card has. The other issue has yet to be dealt with, which is why I made this post.

posted a message on Rogue Players are using the Unearthed Raptor Bug to their advantage

Like the title explains, I came across a few Rogue players. Whenever they're about to be defeated, they play Unearthed Raptor to disconnect the game and cheat you out of a win.

If you might be thinking this a bit farfetched, then I can assure you it's not. Usually they have the card sitting in their hand, and even when given the opportunity to use it, they don't unless they're about to lose; in which they just play the card as is, denies the battlecry, then ends the turn. The game disconnects afterwards and you're forced to restart the game, since you also can't concede.

Since there are a lot of deathrattle I believe the opposite of Bronzebeard would be a better decision. I can't remember the name though.

I've been lingering around rank 16-13th but I haven't met a single secret paladin for the day, only Kripp's Fatigue Warrior, Freeze Mage and Dragon Priest.

posted a message on Entomb is gonna be scary good.

Entomb is basically a cheaper Mind Control with the upside of being able to do something possibly on the same turn, while stealing your opponent's card. It's not meant to replace Shadow Word: Death so its cost shouldn't even be an issue; it's supposed to replace Mind Control for people who find the card too slow. It's meant to help Priest manage the board. Tirion and Ysera are very problematic and auto-win cards against Priest, if they can't silence or steal them away; and this effectively helps deal with these problems with the downside of fattening your deck.

I've been playing Shaman a bit frequently now with Elemental Destruction. The thing is, you'd want to keep that card in mind in advance and plan your early game into the card as much as you can. Also you'd want to think about what'd you do after you use it before you actually play it if you don't have a lava shock in hand.

Usually I'd set up my minions to trade rather than use the card, until I've gotten a bit later into the game, since the game can be lost either way. Of course, I use a different deck than what is featured here. It's a bit difficult but the card is amazing. You'll just have to plan your turns ahead of time if you want to manage your overload.

I'd suggest removing a destruction for another form of card draw to draw into the less risky removals as quickly as possible. People don't really like the card but Coldlight Oracle has been a pretty good card for me. It puts a body on the board plus draws you a card. In most cases the card draw may not benefit your opponent.

posted a message on Meta Crusher Combo Priest

I see. Maybe you can switch a Divine Spirit for Shadow Word: Pain. This deck encourages minion battle but Priests tends to get unlucky with mulligans and ends up with spells. Also since you're playing Priest I bet you already know  it's hard to recover from the game if it gets out of hand early.

I'd suggest against Hunters and aggro decks in general mulligan for what you wrote, but try to get Wild Pyromancer instead of Shadowboxer and only keep Power Word: Shield if you already got him. Just drop cleric on the board at your discretion. Pyromancer and Deathlords are your most important against aggressive decks. Shadowboxer isn't a bad mulligan either, but pyro is good for that quick tempo recovery.

But for control I'd suggest only playing Deathlord when you're gonna Lightbomb the following 2 turns. Control Warrior is a bad match-up against this deck though.

Okay. I really don't know, if my RNG is so insanely bad or if my attitude in playing HS switched, but @ ~15 games I have a 100% winrate with Rag and not a single win with Nefarian... like what the hell happened?

Rag got good. That's what happened.
Before Nef had insane advantage, but the mana nerf toned it down a little. Nef can still suddenly turn the match in his favour, but so can Rag if you unlock his hero power on time.

the only problem with tunnel trogg for me is that the only constructed worthy overload cards for turn 2 are totem golem, crackle and maybe lightning bolt

Forked Lightning might make a return? If I can recall, one of my builds for overload shaman had the card doing pretty well. That was pre-TGT though. Also Feral Spirit isn't a bad deal either. I still don't get why blizzard didn't make Lava Shock only work with locked mana. It would've made the card tons better as well as keep the drawback.

Tunnel Trogg, because I'm one of the stubborn ones who kept using an overload shaman. Also they were really lacking that one drop that would benefit from your mana-locking shenanigans.

Mounted Raptor  - my Beast Druid needed a good tempo card that doesn't involve me burning cards to innervate a Druid of the Fang,

Unearthed Raptor & Tomb Pillager - I really wanna use a control/Midrange type rogue that actually trades minions and not just oiling my weapon to slice and dice faces.

Sir Finley Mrrgglton would probably help me create a consistent control Hunter

Fierce Monkey might just be the card I needed to make a Taunt/Face Warrior hybrid less frustrating and more consistent,

Entomb will help immensely for cards like Tirion and Ysera.

Also while people are quick to dismiss Excavated Evil I feel this card that never goes away may be what Control Velen Priest might've needed all this time.

And finally, Djinni of Zephyrs has the potential to become a staple in priest. Might make Confuse a thing also.

Of course, only time will tell, but these are my top picks at the moment.

This card can also be used with other overload removals. It doesn't necessarily has to be used with Totem Golem, despite that being the best of value.

Personally I don't see anyone using this card at all (or shaman) since Overload decks are difficult to play, but I welcome it because I'm one of the few people who uses an overload deck and a one drop that doesn't overload you and benefits from it is gonna be pretty useful to me.

Also it seems like Murlocs, Ogres and Troggs are a Shaman thing now. Kinda make sense since I use Troggs a lot in Shaman,

posted a message on mage seems gimped

Rhonin is too good, I'll say he works better in tempo mage than Archmage Antonidas and he's worth Mind Control-ing more than Archmage. Also, allowing Mage to reap the rewards of his deathrattle with Antonidas in queue is game-ending .

I believe many will have a bit of trouble testing new cards. I got Dragon Priest to work after three tries (completely overwhelming deck, if I must say so. Confuse ends the game before I even get to turn 7), but I'm having trouble getting my Burst Priest to work.
