Meta Crusher Combo Priest
First of all, I would like to thank you for the upvotes and comments. I really didn't expect people would like this kind of deck. It's also my first deck which i made public.
The main goal of this deck, is to get a good combo while wiping away the board of your enemy. The idea is to keep your enemy interested in the minions u place on the board, since the meta has tuned on the aggro-hype and people tend to go face. So here you have minions like Shadowboxer, Eydis Darkbane and Deathlord, with which you force your opponent to deal with these or else they will get buffed and you will obtain the board control. Sometimes i was using Shadowboxer and Eydis Darkbane just to bait out some removals, so you can play your Deathlord even safer. I also made the experience that multiple buffs on one minion will make you more vulnerable to silences etc. It's safer to spread your buffs on many different minions and to count the removals your opponent already used, so when you buff your Ysera, you can be sure she wont be removed easily.
Since Priest is a class that doesn't have many good win conditions, you have to use Emperor Thaurissan to make your combo pieces cheaper and a win more realistic. After reducing the cost of Inner Fire, Power Word: Shield, Divine Spirit and Velen's Chosen you can start your combo and just copy that big minion with Faceless Manipulator. Shrinkmeister and Cabal Shadow Priest are mainly for a high value steal on something like Ysera, Sludge Belcher etc. Later I also added a Defender of Argus, to have a good 10th drop together with Cabal Shadow Priest, since there are many situations in which you need to withstand possible lethal attacks.
I reached Rank 5 in EU with this deck, but had no success further on, so I'm still trying things out to adapt to the current meta. I will keep this updated. Matchups and Mulligans will follow soon.
Any replacement suggestions for Faceless Manipulator?
400 Dust! :)
Really? Wow, and here I was replacing my Lightbombs with 100 dust!
Love this deck. Thanks for sharing. I am 9-2 with it.
i replaced 1x Holy Nova for 1x Djinni of Zephyrs. what do u think?
I believe that control matchups will be hard with this deck, what you think about something with better curve?
Hey
First of all, thanks for sharing.
What do you think about add the new Djinni of Zephyrs?
EDIT: After test your deck i think need some changes to work in the current meta, even with this tech i think is not enought.
Hearthpwn must be change the vote system to split fun decks and effective o competitive decks
vs. Druid:
Turn 1: Northshire Cleric + Coin + Power Word: Shield
Turn 2: Power Word: Shield + Inner Fire
DRUIDCONCEDE
It could also be his turn 3 : bgh or keeper -> you concede
Ysera 4/12 -> Nightmare = 5/17 -> Double Divine Spirit = 5/68 -> Inner Fire = 68/68
Yes I just got this combo :D
That winning streak though :O !!! Thanks yoh XD ! I know it's only at rank 11 but whatever not much time this season! Anyways thanks for the share really diggin' the deck here's my gameplay yoh! :p
This deck is okay. Definitely fun for messing around and completing dailies. But I wouldn't trust it on ladder, just far too inconsistent imo. Props on your first deck though, nice job.
Hi fellas.
i am going 0-5 so far.
i know obviously i am doing something wrong but i dont know what it is.
can someone help me with this :)
What do you mulligan for? Like what cards do you look for in your opening hand?
i keep cleric, deathlords and shadowboxer
i never kept board presence so far. maybe its harder than i think
I see. Maybe you can switch a Divine Spirit for Shadow Word: Pain. This deck encourages minion battle but Priests tends to get unlucky with mulligans and ends up with spells. Also since you're playing Priest I bet you already know it's hard to recover from the game if it gets out of hand early.
I'd suggest against Hunters and aggro decks in general mulligan for what you wrote, but try to get Wild Pyromancer instead of Shadowboxer and only keep Power Word: Shield if you already got him. Just drop cleric on the board at your discretion. Pyromancer and Deathlords are your most important against aggressive decks. Shadowboxer isn't a bad mulligan either, but pyro is good for that quick tempo recovery.
But for control I'd suggest only playing Deathlord when you're gonna Lightbomb the following 2 turns. Control Warrior is a bad match-up against this deck though.
Dude i must admit it . thats one of the most fun decks i have ever played. keep updating it plz :)
Better than I thought it would perform.
Is Shadowboxer really useful? I've never really found the card worth it...
I just played this deck for the first time -- had to replace Faceless Manipulator and Eydis Darkbane. But Shadowboxer did a lot of the heavy lifting! I managed to get Tournament Medic out with Shadowboxer, which gave two hits to the enemy and really helped clear the board. My opponent used Faceless Manipulator to copy my Shadowboxer, which I then stole back with Cabal. At that point, I was at 30 health, and they were at 12, and they just gave up.
Nice work! It's nice to see something different out there.
