Pro Player/Good Player =/= Good theory crafter.  That being said, I have a tendency to agree with Lifecoach that many of these cards are too slow and will only get value if they can stick to the board, which is obviously easier said than done, but I honestly hope we are both very wrong.

This is stupid the people who understand the game best, and thus are the best at playing it are the Pro Players, they have more insight into the game than your rank 20 scrub theory crafting his Master of Ceremonies deck.

This is not true. Pro players aren't the best at playing Hearthstone, they're just Pro Players, as in they play Hearthstone for cash. That is all they are. Of course it's required to have a certain amount of skill, but they are rarely often the ones who creates the decks that defines the meta. They just usually end up populating it and playing other people's craft.

So no, they don't understand the game the best, they're just good at playing to get paid. And just like any other regular Hearthstone player, they're prone to making their respective over/under-estimation of upcoming cards. Their opinions aren't any less valid than the common HS player.

What the hell are you talking about? Of course pro players are best at playing this game, otherwise they wouldn't be called pros. You need to understand that deck crafting skills doesn't equal how good you are at this game. Its the execution and results what define you.

Honestly,  I think you underestimate the skill required to play this game at very high level. You can't be succesful without understanding this game on very deep level so yeah, I think their opinions have more weight than average hearthpwn posters.

I think you need to look up what the term "professional" means. It has nothing to do with feats, although that's how it's used these days. It just means you're being paid for what you do, compared to being an amateur. which is also a term which has changed meaning overtime.

Hearthstone is not a deep game, and I don't really understand why people are trying to make it seem that way. I'll say this again, pro players aren't the best at playing the game, they're just really good at winning when it comes to money, and erhm, well... "winning". Hearthstone is more reliant on deck-building than other card games, but I'm not gonna discount the fact that some decks do require more thinking than others.

The inspire mechanic is regarded as being too slow, but that's because the initial assumption I see everyone making is that you have to aim for that guaranteed value, so adding 2 extra mana to the cards are discounting how they might actually work within a dedicated deck. In my opinion, some cards with the inspire effect should be dropped on curve due to their unusually high health, but that's just my unprofessional two cents.

If this is to work you're gonna have to increase your chances of drawing into your win condition, Confuse. That would mean putting two of it into your deck. I have one idea in reserve for a Confuse deck, but I'll keep it to myself for now.

GvG had a lot more cards people don't use than you thought. Your comment sounds more like hindsight. GvG was bringing in the mech archtype, which has the least learning curve of all themed decks. TGT sounds like Hearthstone in advance mode. The plays aren't very obvious and may seem counter-intuitive, but they seem to have a huge payoff if done correctly Of course, only time will tell.

posted a message on Cards you've melted that you regret

I regret dusting my Golden Lorewalker Cho. It was my first legendary and also the one I wanted to get the most at the time. I dusted him in favour of Grommash Hellscream. I love Grom but I wish my Cho was still around. He's a pretty fun card, and he also has great utility. It's too bad playing him requires some foresight, and thus made him one of the most difficult to use Legendaries.

posted a message on 50 TGT Packs vs 40 Classic Packs for an intermediate Player

It's never a good idea to invest in one or two classes by dusting the other class cards. It constrains your options when you're feeling to try something different and causes you to get bored pretty quickly. I mainly use Priest, Shaman and Warrior, but it's nice when I have the cards to make a deck I want to use whenever I get bored of my mains.

I suggest the Classic packs since you're trying to construct a handlock deck and try to avoid dusting unless you have golden cards or more than 2 of the same cards in your collection.

I have 960 gold atm and 2020 dust, potentially for Confuse & Justicar/ Priest/Warrior Legendary.

Garbage card. Requires a board to use offensively, and doesn't really work against like 3/4s of the meta defensively.

You can say the same thing with Bloodlust and Savage Roar, but those cards aren't terrible, now are they? Priests are known to have minions with high health. It's a nice unsuspecting finisher. I can't tell how it'd work now but it does explain a few of the revealed cards. It's a good card, just not particularly overpowered.

I love it! It's so good. Almost like a savage roar. I can't wait to try to make this work.

Don't dust Legendaries unless you feel you have no use for them. Leeroy was an awesome finisher, but now he's an okay finisher. It's best to save your dust the regular way and be patient. If it helps, he's been pretty useful in my CrimsonMech (Mech Warrior) deck.

I see it as they're both good for different things. Besides, Edwin VanCleef dies easily to a Lightbomb and very rarely you'll get him past 4/4 or 6/6.

Looks like someone haven't had much time with Stealthed minions before. Only those minions with the dispel effect can't be targetted by spells unless silenced.
