This isn't a rant about rush decks being OP or being too strong. I find they are balanced but they are extremely toxic, why?
They make the game really dumb dead and it makes it anti fun to play, I think games against control decks or original decks are fun because you never know what the enemy is going to do and it requires some thoughts and cool combos, I love watching Rogues and Mages play because most of them always do things different, specially miracle rogue.
And then, no offence but you get retard alert Hunter/Warrior players who basic strategy consists of, putting minion with charge down, attacking the hero, equipping a weapon and attacking the hero.
I play a paladin heal deck sometimes. Its fun to play against rush decks because they think they have you and then i drop minions and healing spells from turns 5-8 and they are out of steam. It has its counters, and its fun when you beat them
While I agree that rush decks are not terribly interesting to play against they are an important part of the game.
Without rush decks control/ramp decks would just be the way to play, because everybody would know that it would go late game each time. So knowing that it's possible to win with a fast and aggressive strategy is what keeps things from all going one way.
Rush decks are a part of a healthy metagame. You need a different strategy to beat them, and I think it's good for the game to force players to consider many types of opponents when building and playing their decks.
+1 to all the responses. If you don't like them, don't play them; it can be fun to see if you have enough juice to finish off a control deck before you run out of steam and get curb stomped.
I wholehartedly agree, we should only be playing control games which last 15 minutes. Having variety in the games you play and decks you face is unacceptable as I designed a deck that loses to rush, and I feel like we should ban that archetype accordingly.
I hate them all it is so stupid I see them all day in casual... what are you trying to grind through honestly CASUAL WTF it takes no brain power to play the deck and it makes me want to shoot myself in the face it is no funny completely facerolling with them becasue you have to put up taunt and kill all of there minions
EDIT: I have faced 4 in a row in Casual now ... I have won every game but me not being able to play any deck but anti-aggro Druid IN CASUAL is sicking not fun at all
EDIT: they also never accept your friend requests becasue they are to stupid to actually care they they don't have a brain and won't dare talk to me and so I can tell them that what they do is pointless

If you're the kind of person that friends your opponents after beating them so that you can tell them that what they are doing is "pointless", you're a whole lot douchier than any of the people playing rush decks right now.

No I ask them why they play faceroll decks in Casual do you have an answer? Are you a person playing the deck XD
No I am sorry it just doesn't make any sense really
I play rush decks in casual because I'm often doing dailies and if you're trying to get wins with a class you don't normally play that's the best way to do it. It's fast and simple.
As for why people play them on a more consistent basis, I assume because they find it fun? With Hearthstone being a free game a good portion of the players aren't going to be investing a lot of time or research into it. And has been mentioned rush decks are perfect for people on a budget and who don't want to spend a bunch of time learning to play the game, watching streamers, etc. Finally depending on their schedules they may just be wanting to grab a quick game during lunch, before going to bed, etc.
I see plenty of legitimate reasons for why people play rush decks, even if I don't find them appealing. Others may just as well wonder why I spend all my time on fiddly combo decks that require unusual cards, lots of testing, and result in plenty of failures. I could just read what works and spare myself all the frustration.
From Aggro point of view, Control decks are as dumb as Aggro is said to be: removal, aoe, heal, taunt. Rinse & repeat. No thrill of the hunt. How is that fun?
See the point? Archetype is a subjective matter. All that matters is variety.
People are toxic in general playing these decks for the simple fact that they themselves do not believe they can achieve success in general. Therefore when they can score a win using these decks it's the only form of "being good" that they can get.
The toxicity comes from their own ego and personal issues. Don't take offense, just smile and know it's not you. Also, I'm sure the meta will start to change next expansion.

How fun is that?
Rush decks are the most competitive strategies available to players with limited card budgets.

the archetype rushdeck is okay and healthy.
but current rush decks are so incredibly mindnumbing. there is little to no brain required to pull these strategies off, so i dislike them very much.
thoughtful rush: okay
mindless spam and hope: bad
Lack of variety is toxic.

Aggro decks are perfectly fine, just like any other type of deck. Not fun? Maybe some people find Combo, Midrange or Control decks not fun.
Thank the lord aggro exists. If it weren't for aggro, control would be screwed.
Who the heck answers to a 3 year old topic?
FOR THE HORDE!
I was going to say ''No shit Sherlock'' but then I saw the thread date
Fuck cubelock
