I expected to see a lot of dreadsteed and lock and loaded decks(and inspire decks to a lesser extent) at the very least.....
All i'm seeing are older decks with 1-2 new cards really :/. what is thisssss
Thisssss is 3 days after the expansion launched. Sheesh, give it some time to mature. Most people probably haven't even gotten the cards they're after yet.

I wouldn't get my hopes up. In previous times when people first saw cards like Grim Patron and Tinker's they would go "oh yeah, people will definitely build a whole new innovative deck around this single card alone. There is not a single card in TGT that would spark this kind of imagination. To be completely honest, the only possible deck archetype that can bring innovation are decks that are built around a single combo. There is not a single wombo-combo card in TGT.

Innovation. It may not have a bunch of TGT cards but it a legitimate deck and it works. You arent gonna find a good "TGT card only" deck. Expansions don't build new decks all by themselves, they supplement the current cards to form BETTER decks.
I've seen totem shaman, swamp paladin, token druid, dragon freeze mage, control rogue, secret paladin, and a dragon priest that looks nothing like the previous iteration. I'd say that there's plenty of innovation.
Disheartening for blizzard, because it means not enough people spending thousands of dollars to get every TGT card. That's the only way to playtest effectively.
I saved up some gold and got about 25 packs on first day. I also had some dust to craft with. I can't complete all the brand new innovative decks I wanted. I had enough new cards for one completely new deck. Give people time to get cards together. There are a lot less people dropping money for 50 packs than those who will be getting one new pack every 2 days.
That's how people build decks, got to start somewhere and then eventually people decide what they like, what works and combos together etc after some testing in sort of established play style. The people praying on everyone doing that with mech mage, hunter, patron etc yeah it is sad but ah well
I don't think it's fair to say I'm 'preying' on anyone playing my Mech Mage. It's basically the best deck I can ladder with at the moment because I don't have enough TGT cards to make a competitive deck yet. I've made concessions by replacing Mirror Entity with Effigy and also swapping out 1 Azure Drake for a Clockwork Knight (which is working okay).
I played with a paladin who tried to fit justicar trueheart in his deck. Played her on turn 6. He died in turn 8.
Innovation FTW!
Depends on how you do it. Did he just throw Justicar into an established deck or did he build around it? I made a token paladin deck that's pretty successful so far. If you ignore the tokens they get buffed to hell, if you go after them it's damage off my face while I establish more token generators like Justicar. She's been an allstar in this deck.

No idea, whatever he was trying to do, it didn't work out. Don't really care.
This is the first day we can actually build decks and playtest. I've failed to build decent astral deck, but then had great success adding TGT cards into lockdown shaman deck (I'm too sleepy to post it now, maybe tomorrow).
And Dreadsteed AoE deck is absolutely new concept, and it rocks. Dreadsteed is a sole reason to run AoE deck in warlock.

i hope thats not true. magic would have been dead a long time ago if new expansions didnt create new decks. if thats how hearthstone is gonna be... it really only has blizzard's name to stand on. i'm not expecting 30 TGT cards in a deck, not even close. but if blizzards game design team was worth a crap there would be new decks somewhere.
Give it time. You'll see some new decks within a few weeks, I guarantee it. People just need some more time to adjust to the cards and buy enough of them to make a solid deck. We're still testing things out since the expansion was just released yesterday. The meta will change eventually, just be patient :)

Yeah but even Magic doesn't necessarily create decks all from one expansion. That's why Standard exists. Typically you'll have decks made up from cards from the last couple of expansions.
Red Deck Wins uses cards from Dragons, Khans, Fate Reforged and I'm sure Magic Origins has been included by now as well. Red Deck Wins as an archetype will likely persist throughout many expansions. The same will be true for things like Patron. In 10 expansions time, there's a good chance that Patron will still be viable.
That's why we need Standard / Modern for Hearthstone ranked.

This includes streamers, is the thing
I had gotten the 50 pack preorder, only one legendary. Though it was that dude that buffs your heropower.

There once was a man from Nantucket...

Then clearly you're playing with the wrong people; I'm currently reppin' an Egg Paladin and having a blast.

So, two decks/day. Is that a lack of innovate?

Totem Shaman and Dragon Priest are both essentially new concepts and both appear to be tier 1 decks. Seems fine to me :D
Grim Patron warrior is the most innovative and most balanced deck that has ever existed in any card game. This is an undeniable fact.
