I always thought they mean the minion changes its costs with the health. ie. a 9 mana Alex will cost 8 Mana cause it has 8 HP - but well these Devs know where they going with it ^^
From Bronse 10 -> Platinium 5 during 20 games (double Alex combo). Only 65% winrate mostly because of animations. I guess it will be the easiest legend ever tomorrow.
Have you seen the deck in action? In theorycraft there where a lot of viable strategies to abuse the deck. In practice Combo doesn't work well due to animations, but playing it as Darkest Hour 2.0 works really good and it's not even remotely refined.
Yes, it's too early to call for nerfs, but it should be obvious (even for a beginner) that a tutorable combo that a makes every card drawn 0 cost is or will be problematic.
Maybe animations and weakness to aggro means these decks (be it Mecha'thun, Malygos, Majordomo/Treachery/Alex or Leeroy/PO/Faceless) will never be tier S, but they are unfun, completely uninteractive and bad for the game. So either you play fast aggro or on turn six you watch your opponent play solitaire where he wins or loses on his own.
I expect a nerf sooner or later if the popularity of Stealer of Souls remains so high
I got whipped by this earlier in Casual. Seems pretty inoffensive, and I can't complain much since just minutes before I was doing Lady Anacondra + Celestial Alignment shenanigans in Druid just to get a feel for the deck.
Sure it feels a little bad, but it's either a fad that'll go away when they keep losing to Secret Mage and Darkglare, or it does wind up good enough to be tier 2 or tier 1.5, and Warlock just gets another good deck that hard loses to anything with face damage.
While I think minions that make your Hero Immune is silly because it's so limiting of design space in creating stuff like Stealer of Souls, clearly Blizzard doesn't really care about it at all. Personally I think it's not good design. The only card that isn't annoying that makes your Hero Immune is Time Out!, imo. Paly exploits Immune less well than Warlock and Mage can.

Half of wild is apm warlock and the other half is aggro decks trying to counter said deck. Control/Reno is dead now. It's very likely to get nerfed within two weeks. Until then, me and many of my friends are taking a break from wild.
This won't be nerfed, because it doesn't need to, you should know that this isn't nearly as relaible or fast as it should be.
I was kinda wrong. The deck is certainly beatable and it does not seem to be THAT consistent, often enough it creates situations just impossible to deal with. Funny enough, I was able to beat this deck with Celestial Alignment + Malygos, so there's that.

I love you Dreadsteed, I will never disenchant you!

It's more consistent than Naga Sea Witch. You can tutor for the Stealer of Souls, you can discover them, and you can discount them (and they start off 1-mana cheaper). If Sea Witch was a problem card -- and the example that Dean Ayala continues to use as a deck that was rightfully nerfed -- then Stealer of Souls is even more of a problem. At least Sea Witch was available to other classes, like hunter.
That's the disconnect that I find just maddening.
I don't want to kill warlocks' fun, but I'd like to see Stealer of Souls (and Archmage Vargoth, for that matter) nerfed to 5 mana and 4 health.

Talking like that is what gets you added to the Megan’s Law registry. 😂
The card is fine, Immune is the problem. Immune shouldn't negate the Costs, bec. it's no direct damage.
yep, won't buy expansion until this shit is fixed. Blizzard just doesn't play their own game, you can tell..

please don't bully my son
I dont know in wild, but the new 2 mana deal 6 damage its amazing!! Finally warlock can do something in this horrible meta with that card
I've won with turn 5 OTK with Mecha'thun Rogue. Just because it's possible with the perfect draw it doesn't make it OP.

This is always the dumbest comment every time someone mentions that something is broken.

Complaining about a wild deck.

Once again blizzard doesnt check their own game before releasing lol. Dont they have people testing their cards?
I just lost to a Mechathun Warlock abusing that shit...on turn 6! He even overdraw to -5 fatigue lol...
We had this problem already last time with this immune shit and warlock...
I think the nerf will rather
killhit Stealer of Souls ("the first card you draw each turn costs Health instead of mana").But what actually prevents the card from being completely broken is its animation time.
Take a walk on the wild side...
It can be improved by mods
The bad part is, you have already drawn a card start of turn, so it has to sit on board for a turn for its effect to matter
