Why wasn't this deck touched? How us a board full of random minions on turn 4 ok? Its baffling to me. Not only can they get two weapons but they can bring them back for a total of 8 swings to the face
Maybe because the class has been utter rubbish for over a year
It was not a bad class lol. It completely dominated every other deck except HL hunter and aggro DH. With these 2 decks being nerfed I can't believe blizz didn't expect evolve shaman to become stronger or maybe they did expect this but they wanted to see how strong exactly. Every deck has to tech Kobold Stickyfinger to have a chance to win and even then they still need to draw them and be able to play them in time. Also Revolve is a card they run now. And yeah, because they cheat so much mana, evolve shaman became one of the best decks right now. I expect blizz to nerf this archetype at some point before the new miniset or right after if its winrate doesn't drop at all.

Just an l2p issue, just learn to counterpick, for example warrior, priest or warlock can easily counter him
In a game full of cheating mechanics evolve is the only one that shaman has and should be a staple of the class, especially when overload is such utter garbage. Granted it does seem a bit too easy to fill your board full of minions at the moment, but when ramp druid exists in it's current state there isn't much of an argument really.
Majority of classes have access to early game board clears, even in terms on neutral cards. So, to maintain targets for evolve you need to either hit 8 drops before turn 5 or get full board of 6 drops. Its like double edged sword, you can get cucked by rng or you can highroll. Thats why blizzard wont touch rng based cards generally.

because you know how blizzard runs their business lol
Aggro DH and Hunter were what was keeping this deck in check, because depsite what others might say, the most obvious and effective counter to the deck by far is a face rush...the latest they will ever flood the board with shit is turn 6, as they can tutor the weapon, and as you say, can be as early as turn 4.
Yes, the likes of control warrior can handle it, provided they don't whiff their draws, but the gameplay is stupid as fuck. It baffles me that after all this time, board flood into evolve is how they choose to make shaman good again, like it wasn't mindless last time around.

How can you counterpick when there's no draft mode...?

And then if you play even a remotely large board, they play the 9 mana rush minion and get a 10 drop. Or they play hare and put like 19 stats on the board in one turn. Right after you've used that early game removal.
Like sure, it *can* lose if it draws badly I guess. Any deck can lose.
And Shaman being "gutter trash" for a year, is not a reason to put a deck that can high roll so incredibly consistently and just... leave it in the meta because players have been whining about a class being bad for however long.
I mean honestly hare is the biggest issue with the deck highrolling. Without hare it's like... an above average deck.
Kobold Stickyfingers. Thats all it takes to make the match bearable, and winnable. 2 copies is even better. I did it when I saw 40% evovle shaman. worked like a charm.
I am having problems against evolve shaman, but certainly Kobold Stickyfinger help a lot in this matchup. I have added in my highlander priest.
Playing Vs hunter, warrior, dh or a bit vs rogue is also useful and against other classes at least is a pirate for N'Zoth, God of the Deep
How does sticky fingers help if you are dead next turn from a full evolved board? isn't it better to just clear their board instead? Maybe ooze will work since you will still have left over mana for clears.

The turn they play the weapon they can't evolve into massive boards, it is a free random 5 manas from the 3/3 taunt pirate and that is it, you get their weapon, kill one of the minions and turn your pirate into a random 6 manas minion, if they play something into turn 4 and you don't do nothing about then the blame is yours, you just can't doing nothing in turn 4 besides watching your opponent development a board and expect to win the game, don't matter if you are playing vs shaman, rogue, hunter, DH, etc...
Destroy the weapon instead stealing is way less effective because they can easily replace with the 4/2 pirate.

Boo freakin hoo. Poor shaman. Remember last time they were good, when they brought back evolve? Yeah, that was a great time. Evolve needs to go away

Ah you can’t counter pick if u have no idea what you are facing until you see it

So for the other classes it ded card
no, as a Priest or Control Shaman, Even Warrior.
It's consistently not bad. Demon Hunter, Warrior and Hunter all remain popular. Pure Paladin is in the meta too. Lots of weapon classes.
It's not a bad tech, but it doesn't change how aggravating evolve shaman is.

When I play Evolve Shaman I win. When I play against Evolve Shaman I lose. It’s a pretty powerful deck.
