the classic shaman package = nerfed (rockbiter / hex / flametounge totem) the galakrond shaman package = nerfed the overload shaman package = nerfed the spell damage shaman package = trash the highlander shaman package = what package? no support the murloc shaman package = never developed (properly gonna get forced super hard in the future) the evole shaman package = forced the totem shaman package = forced super hard
so have fun playing totem shaman or evolve shaman, because everything else is a nerfed version of itself
ps. - give the hall of fame cards back to standard and undo the nerfs made on cards from sets 2+ expansions ago
That's such an stupid answer, like I don't like the way OP says Shaman sucks, but this doesn't really add anything to any discussion.
It was more of a rant than a discussion. But it's like an ice cream shop with 10 different flavors of ice cream, yet you are complaining about the one you don't like. All I was saying is that there are other options. I wasn't trying to "answer" anything, as no questions were asked.
Can you name a class thst has not had that many nerfs in the original set?
Shaman is fine right now. It's a class with two strong decks and a fringe one on top (face/weapon shaman).
Paladin paladin lost - divine favor (reader does pretty much same job) equality (libram of justice does the same job)
the classic set have been butchered with all the other classes as well I agree and only few of them I would consider justified namely - force of nature, iceblock, vanish, divine favor and ill count in leeroy due to him being a finisher in many decks
fairy war axe, execute, wild groth, doomguard, nourish, acient of lore, hex, rockbiter, flametounge totem are not justified in my opinion
I don't care for the aggro game play of shaman, it is by design a combo class but it is being forced into randomness and even worse, aggro randomness and I want a real deck since I am not about to buy enough cards to buy another class worth of cards

Aside from shudderwock, has shaman ever really been a combo class?
why aren't you talking about my other points, but rather focus only on that? IT seems you don't want to discuss but only rant and in this case there is the salt threat for you.
Saying shaman is bad, even though there are even 2 different distinct T1 decks is just dishonest. YOU just don't like these specific decks, therefore shaman is objectively bad to you.
There are many variations of shaman in wild. Spell dmg, even/odd shaman, control shaman (highlander and/or deathrattle), big shaman, combo shaman (Maly or Shudder), even elemental shaman has some viable decklists, ...
Also using nerfs is an excuse. Every class had nerfs over the years of HS. Those nerfs don't come without a reason and blizz was always very vocal on what the reason is (e.g. artificially prolonged/uninteractive games (shudder), opressiveness (galakrond) and so on).

first of all, Iv might not been clear but I am talking about standard only.
second of all shaman has no tier 1 deck, do you know what a tier 1 deck is? revole shaman is tier 2 and even tho sites such a tempo storm has given it a generous place in the top of tier 2 I believe they are over estimating the potential greatly and it is at best low tier 2 or high tier 3 due to its nature of being high roll.
and last talk about the nerfs shaman have been hit harder than any other class by them, to understand why you need to understand shaman to a high degree and basically it goes like this - neutral draw got nerfed super hard + taunts have been getting worse and worse (shaman needs good taunts) + shaman early curve have been totally shattered + the overload keyword is totally over valued by blizzard, due to aggro classes not running out of steam and pretty much all shaman cards are made to be combo'd together with some other card and very rarely strong by itself shamans finisher combos have all been nerfed (rock biter, spell damage + spells to face, bloodlust is worse due to lack of sticky minions and removal of charge minions in large degree and lack of early game removal and so many different "shaman archtypes" that don't have synergies with eachother... so many bad spells and minions in shaman compared to any other class
there you go an answer to every question like you wanted
This thread, when Evolve Shaman is so popular and overpowered right now, is surprising at best, comical at worst. It's even stronger than the old Evolve Shaman which is saying something, thanks to that stupid weapon that you can get back over and over again.

shaman been nerfed so many times
the classic shaman package = nerfed (rockbiter / hex / flametounge totem)
the galakrond shaman package = nerfed

Thank goodness there are 9 other classes to play
Just sounds like totem & evolve shaman are really strong

We need a downvote button here for people like you.

No idea what u talking about, Shaman is in a pretty good spot has T1 and T2 decks.. Meanwhile Mage players can only play 1 deck and thats T2.

the deck i hate right nos is shaman its very strong right now so i dont know why this topic is here...

yep
"Shaman sucks"
Yet mentions 2 viable T1 decks in the actual standard meta.
Cool.
Let me translate your rant:
"Everything should be as I say and if it is not to my liking it is bad objectively."
If you want to see other/controly archetypes of shaman you should try wild (N'zoth Highlander Shaman is smth I can recommend there)
saying "so basically you are saying" is something called straw manning and it is not a good habit.
Why shaman is suck in standard? Because demon hunter exists
why aren't you talking about my other points, but rather focus only on that? IT seems you don't want to discuss but only rant and in this case there is the salt threat for you.

You cannot expect any class to have 9 different playable archetypes. Shaman is in a good spot, only DH is better right now.
