I am not even sure if that is true... There are no strong combo decks in Standard atm, so I believe Wild draws a lot of fans of that archetype to play quest mage,a Razampriest and Mecha'thun locl, even though the decks are not the best in the format imo.
Jade druid (value), pirate warrior (board aggro) and Secret mage (tempo/burn aggro) and Cubelock (flexible mid-range) are damn strong, though.
Another point might be that since Standard is where all the championships are, that's where all of the try-hards who want to think they're better went.
Do you know what people mean when they say degenerate? They mean their deck has a bad matchup against it. The people who enjoy greedy control decks despise "uninteractive" combo decks. The people who enjoy combo decks despise "brainless" aggro decks. As said aggro players don't have much of a voice, control decks are generally seen in the best light, but can still receive scorn from time to time.
Sure, wild decks are stronger and use more broken synergies than the decks of standard, but that's the fun of it. And can we please end the stigma that any of these decks are degenerate or unhealthy for the game? You're still an asshole if you play Secret Mage, though.
I mean, wild decks are definitely much, much stronger. No question about that, but the amount of OP decks is MUCH larger.
For example, there are more flavours of midrange paladin than I can name, and all are good against something else. I'm really into pure dude paladin and even paladin right now.
But I feel this deck is more about the bevhaviour of the players... I don't know I've not run in much BM lateley. I play mostly wild but also standard seems pretty chill these days?

I would honestly say there are degenerate things, even for Wild standards. Wild DH is just Standard DH times two. Secret Mage - it's "you don't play" kind of deck, which on top of that is an aggro! Wild Priest is, similarly to DH, just its Standard version, but x2. Quest Mage and Mecha Lock are basically exodias - you stall till you have your pieces.
Now I don't say this to complain, I enjoy Wild. What I am saying is that I get this "degenerate" thing. Historically people hate:
ultra aggro decks
"you don't play" decks
control decks which don't actually have a win condition, but are mostly focused on draining you out of resources and outhealing you (Priest)
exodias, which play with themselves
Well, Wild has all of them at the same time, they are all good and they have much more tools to execute their gameplans than any of their iterations in Standard ever had. I mean if you consider the above mentioned gamestyles "degenerate" - and many do - then Wild is pretty much degenerate.
Losing in wild doesn't feel as awful as losing in standard to me. I don't know why, maybe because I just started playing wild and try to get in high ranks for the first time even thought it's the same game it feels different.
So I've been playing Wild this month, basically for the first time ever. And I am amazed by how the matches go. Most people emote "Hello" at the start and "Well Played" at the end - and nothing else. Played approximately 20 games and didn't get a single instance of BM'ing, roping... Two people added me to say "gg". One, who got crushed (feel you mate), just Showboxjiofi.local.htmltplinklogin messaged me "damn, it's a pain to play vs this, gg haha". I wouldn't even consider it salty, even though he probably was a bit.
And I am playing an oppressive deck! Secret Mage - for other viable ones I'd need to craft few a cards and I don't feel like spending dust on Wild cards. Secret Mage is the only one I had 100% cards for. So I am basically playing a Wild equivalent of Face Hunter in terms of how players perceive the deck, yet no one said I am a ******, should die or questioned my mother's job. Not only that, but people honestly emote "well played" upon conceding.
It would take me like 5 won games on Standard ladder at most with something like DH or Hunter to be called a scrub that should die.
Is it something general in Wild or just my experience from playing not enough games?
What I've seen more in wild than in standard is people with full golden decks and 1000 wins demon hunters but that's about it

I disagree that Secret mage is "you don't play" as there is a significant skill cap to timing your different secrets and minions right to make them as hard as possible to maneuver for your opponent. It is actually rather interactive from both sides in most matchups.
The latest addition to the Wild meta yet another exodia deck in a new Malygos druid build. Let's see if they stick around.
I am pretty convinced Wild draws a lot of Combo/Exodia fans.

Wild has also pretty friendly streamers. Roffle, Dane and Getmeowth rarely get salty and Solem is constructive when he does.
