Lots of people hating on Jaraxxus. I've got him in a Glinda/lackey deck, and he's great against control Warrior. Since CW is almost entirely about removal, the infinite parade of 6/6 infernos eventually exhausts the CW's options. And CW has no burst, so the 15 health is okay.
Anyway, yes, this sacrificial pact interaction should go.
The thing is, I think its more than fair for a 9 mana "hero" that has a potential 14 healing, a 3/8 weapon and an op hero power to be insantly destroyed by a spell that rarely sees play, or hard to get. Without zephrys 6 out of 9 classes can't have sac pact with the 3 being warlock rogue and priest, and even with zephrys i find it fair.
If the sac pact interaction works on Jarraxus why doesnt demonfire?
I rest my case your honor.
well sac pact affects demons, and jaraxxus is a demon. but demonfire's first condition is a minion target, and jaraxxus as a hero is not considered a minion.
I vehemently agree with the OP. Zephrys makes Jaraxxus unplayable. Something needs to change. In fact, this would be a good time to give Jaraxxus a modest upgrade.

Dependable loan sharks since 1960. We sink our teeth into every deal we make.
They should remove the interaction period, it never should have existed in the first place for so many reasons. It's highly inconsistent with the way spells work in this game. Since when would a minion target spell work on somebodies hero? I get they it was for lolz originally but in all seriousness it's wrong. I don't care what your opinion is of Jaxx as far as viability in the meta, the point stands.
Nowhere in the text of Sacrificial Pact will you find the word "minion."
It targets a Demon. Jaraxxus is a Demon.
If anything, we should be hearing more complaints about Hungry Crab not killing Morgl. I would love to see that fixed.

Jaraxxus is out of meta because it sucks not because of Sac Pact or Zephrys.
Jaraxxus is a great card and always see play in control warlock until...
1- Release the most busted, insanely broken hero card of all, the card can't be used with Jaraxxus and he is crap in comparison.
2- When finally the DK rotates and Jaraxxus can be played again they release a very popular neutral highlander card can deny any chance of he see play again, remove this stupid interaction and Jaraxxus can have a place in the meta, sure will be niche and don't will be include in every warlock deck but can be played.
Jaraxxus didn't see ANY play in RoS meta when there were no DKs or Zephrys.
Because warlock don't have any playable deck, Jaraxxus is a good card but can't carry the entire class alone...

The difference, I feel, is that if any of the alternate starting heros were mechanically different from the base heros it would smack of P2W, even in situations where the paid hero is strictly worse. (Yes, Morgl is not paid for, but it opens up design space for other edge case scenarios being improved by just using alt heros)
Meanwhile, to even *be* regular Jaraxxus you need to choose to play him from your hand and activate that battlecry. You get all the benefits and the weaknesses that come with that change.

Light's champion silences a demon, yet it cannot target Jar. Malganis boosts demon health, but Jar remains at 15. Neither of them specified minions only.

If its a demon that implies its a minion, super smart guy that doesn't play jaraxxus and tell other ppl taht does that are dumb :)))))
Now I'm wondering: anybody know if E.M.P. Operative would work on Mecha-Jaraxxus? :-D I am assuming M-J is a mech. Maybe he's not? Is he still a demon?

holy god. let's put it like that : dirty rat can pull Jaraxxus (3 atk and 15hp). can dirty rat pull mechajaraxxus or morgl ? (Or bloodreaver) just face palm

Silence, as a mechanic, is not defined for heroes. What would that even do, exactly?
But now that you mention it, I would totally be in favor of letting Mal'Ganis buff your Attack and Health. We should ask for that change. It would make Jaraxxus more playable!

Light's Champion actually used to be able to silence Jaraxxus, but it was later patched.

If Jar was frozen, silence would be good to let him attack
I dusted my Golden Jaraxxus that I crafted in early 2015 for 4 epics. I lost a lot of value, but better off using 4 super strong epic that you can use than a good looking, yet beyond trash tier legendary that you haven't used for years and is now with Zephrys release completely unplayable.
I am completely with changing the interaction as many have pointed why is it limited to Sacrificial Pact and not Silence / Mal'Ganis / Light's Champion (someone said it was hot fixed in a patch to stop the interaction). So obviously Blizzard's consistency for inconsistency is constant.
Or just make Hungry Crab kill Morgl as suggested that would be neat.

also demonfire does damage to all minions EXCEPT demons..
S39 Legend - Quest Rogue, S38 Legend - Murloc Paladin, S37 Legend - Miracle Rogue, S36 Top 200 Legend - Aggro Shaman, S35 - Finished Rank 51 Legend - Aggro Shaman, S34 Legend - Aggro Shaman

Pretty much how I see it. Welcome to Zeph. Don't play your grandfather's cards.
DEMON jarraxus is a card that gets played. See? Heroes do not.
More to the point - Jaraxxus being unplayable doesn't add any strategic depth or fun to the game. Therefore fix this pointless issue.
