Cyclone mage for a more aggressive gameplan. Maybe Big Spell Mage for a control gameplan. In BSM there may be some validity to keeping Pocket Galaxy but it is a longshot.
Galaxy at 7 means OTK style or pure tempo based damage at the end of the game. Play your Fireball generating minion and spam some spells for next turn lethal.
People may try to 'force' Galaxy in their decks, but will realize it's far too slow at 7 to play. On turn 7 you are either clearing the board or making your own board of giants. You do not want to be playing a 7 mana do nothing card unless the board is empty.
Turn 5 was perfect because even if the opponent flooded the board, you had Blizzard spell on turn 6 to slow things down. Or Doomsayer and Frost Nova.
I think they were so afraid that 6 mana was still too powerful and decided to not have to nerf it twice.
The current top-heavy singleton deck may become trash, but Reno and Zephrys are both still extremely good cards. I'm not convinced we've seen the last of them.

Probably back to be King of tier 2 again. Mage got triple nerfs actually since mage counters Warrior, now with Warrior slightly declines and Hunter rising. I don't feel pity though.

you may see Naga Sandwitch ran because of Pocket galaxy, it's unreliable but it's ther nonetheless
I mean playing Turn 4 Mountain Giant is still pretty strong but yea at least they won't be able to go Conj Calling x2 following turn with Coin. Probably just be some weird Cyclone Hybrid like it was previously which was pretty high Tier 2 if I remember right. Might even just be Big Spell Mage or something with Naga Sand Witch. Some sorta Dragon Hybrid could be interesting as well. I'm sure APXvoid will probably come up with something that'll become meta.

I’m personally gonna try a freeze mage deck built around reducing the costs of 2 pyroblasts for 20 damage to the face. It’s gonna be terrible but I miss playing old school freeze mage
Just curious.

Say goodbye to highlander :p
Signature move
Probably lowers ceiling of 58% win rate down to about 52%-55% win rate. Some may still play it, just not as popular.
Not sure if hyped yet.

As far as what Mage will evolve into? Cyclone Mage seems like the strongest candidate.

Mage will still be a mage.
Dumb Nerf Time for OTK
Love is pain but I'll endure that pain if that's what it takes. 🖤
It's basically just gonna revert back to a less heavy list. It's still gonna walk all over warriors like it did before.
A weird mix between quest/cyclone mage

Maybe the aggressive mage package will be tested properly now.
maybe something like a burn/cyclone mage get you to twenty health by turn 10 and double pyro
