so how do y’all feel if they created a card the actually caused your DK to revert back to its original form and loose the DK hero power.
I love my DK’s as much as everyone else, but I think it would really shake the meta up if they created a card that actually returned your hero back to its human form. Similar to how to sulking giest has been used to disable jade Druid and other 1 cost cards. Of course it would need to cost like 9-10 mana to be played and would only be good to play against DK’s. But it would cause a good shift for the meta and cause people to think of new decks that don’t rely upon their DK’s so much.
DKs will rotate out soon, but you do bring up a great concept
we might even be able to go further with this by making a heavily costed card that alters an opponents hero power into something incredibley weak or even make it mutually beneficial to you and the opponent should they use it
Maybe not a DK reverting effect but a card that reads (Change your opponents hero power to a their original hero power) might be welcome. Sort of a reverse Sideshow Spelleater.

Oh nice i like this better cause it would ALSO counter Baku and Genn! I'd say we need something like this.

Hi i'm Tyler and I play hearthstone and watch anime.
Sometimes i make cards. I'd like to do that for a career one day if ever possible.
DK is one card in your deck, it typically cost 8-10 Mana, and some of them have little to no immediate impact like Valeera or Anduin a lot of the time.
I think DKs are fair, they just need some balancing to bring them in line with each other as some are overtuned and some slightly underwhelming(Which we know Blizzard won't do).
Maybe a legendary that destroys the opponents hero power (or replace it with something weaker) as battlecry but it would be a strong effect so it needs a great downside for example bad stats, affect both players, maybe only disable it for 3 turns.
or maybe something like this: “battlecry: Steal your opponents hero power, deathrattle: give it back” but then you can abuse it with a brewmaster... or you could make it the same as togwaggle, but that feels kinda boring.
The problem with this idea is that decks that use dks rely on them to lesser degrees than others and some playstyles flat out don't exist competitively in standard atm without the dk. Control mage is a good example of this. Freeze Mage doesn't work easily without Ice Block and Thaurissan, Reno Mage is in wild, and you sure aren't going to see BSM remain a good deck with our current expansions without Jaina. The class would forever remain an aggro or burn class.
Now Gul'Dan on the other hand, zoo, control lock, and cubelock can all exist in standard without the dk, although zoo would have the most success of the three since many builds don't run him. Then you have things like Garrosh, Uther, Thrall that by themselves don't really create tier 1/2 decks. Such an anti-dk card would push out these underutilized dks even more.
I wouldn't even want an anti-dk card in wild because then my control rogue and warrior lists can get utterly trashed by control locks/mages/priests even more if they ran this.
An anti-dk card is what I term a 'crab counter'. You play the card and you more or less instantly win the game if you use it. Counters like that are really bad for the game because then it creates rock-paper-scissors games (to the extreme) even more on the opposite end of the spectrum, when countering people. If we're seeing many complaints about this already would we want to further make this a problem by creating an "I win" button against people using dks?
Way too good, you deny all benefits of high cost DK's and warrior quest with a single status penauty from the vanilla 4/5, a card like this make all DK's unplayable as soon is released.
9 manas 4/4 is the absolute minimum to a card like that.

Very good idea but must have severe restrictions.
Something like a massive tempo loss play like 2/4 or 3/3 for 10 manas and both players back.

This kind of tech cards have existed (against an specific type of card) and have been barely used.
The effect could be devastating? yes
Players would play it? probably not.

I maybe would have liked it in K&C but at this point the DKs rotate next April, then that card becomes a dead card.

Really like the idea.
Why target death knights only, instead of all hero cards?

I would rather see some anti combo tech, which is much more needed.
Yeah that is really needed for in the standard format, i agree.
Omg, u already have Minbreaker if i remember right name. Disabling hero power seems like disable DK and DK going to wild after two expansion.

With such effect in mind I made this card:
What do you guys think?
