I think it's probably likely that each class will receive one even/odd card, but probably not any more than that
And then we'll get a few more neutral even/odd cards. This won't be enough cards to make it viable for most classes. Maybe one class will be able to make it work, but theses will be useless cards for the other classes.
That's my prediction.
You don’t need to predict.
Mike Donais already mentioned there are only very few odd/even cards to come. And some classes don’t get any class-specific odd/even cards at all.
Im not crazy about that either, one thing is all different cards, one is renounce to half of your collection. There are much better ways to restrict deck building, in Wow TCG (a part from horde and alliance) there were races, specializations (like, paladin could be holy, retribution or protection, shaman could be elemental, restoration or enhancement...). I'd like to see more of that
We may also see chameleon cards, which change their mana cost to accommodate the deck, perhaps with some extra benefit to make up for the extra 1-mana cost.
And if it does take off, Priests will be at the top again with Psychic Scream.
Psychic Scream still isnt even that good and will be even worse when you start seeing decks running cards with Echo etc.
There’s a reason its not run as a staple in the current high tier priest deck.
so you know how people would say that Psychic Scream is the better Vanish spell but for Priest? Yea okay...
Nope, because nobody who actually knows what they’re talking about would say that.
A more expensive vanish that refills your opponent’s deck, gives then a boost on fatigue end game AND restocks their minions to be played again. Yeah, okay... it’s “better”.... >_>
It was only semi-decent in Raza Priest. There’s a reason you dont see it much any more and yet Rogue stil plays Vanish funnily enough...

Kingsbane Mill Rogue to be exact. N'Zoth Rogue don't run Vanish
I think mechanic is shit. Every class will have its odd version and it's even version and everyone who plays it will be playing the same deck. So tired of these mechanics that build the deck for you. These cards can't exist in any deck other than the one they had in mind so it's just super boring to me.

So that's 18 decks as you've described, plus all the decks that don't go odd or even. That's a whole lot of decks. If you need more decks than that to maintain your interest, I can't think of any CCG that could satisfy you.
But more to the point: I'm sure there will be as much variation within Even Warlock (to pick an arbitrary example) as you might have seen in a Zoolock deck back when Zoolock was strong. Yes, there will be a so-called "best" list that most players eventually settle on, but that's just people being people. It has nothing to do with the odd-even thing.

Everyone cares way to much about odd/even decks. It's just a new and interesting way to try and build a deck, if you don't like it then just build a normal deck, some people just like the challenge of constraining themselves in deck building and using under used cards in decks. It's not like they will be meta breaking or the only thing people will ever play, so who cares. Let people enjoy building new decks and stop complaining about issues that don't exist 10 cards into the expansion.
I only hope that many of the coming odd/even cards will have a base-statline with an additional benefit when playing with the boni (examples are the eal, as well as the 'soothspewer' thing).
If thats the case, I wouldn't even mind if 50% of the Set consist of these cards, at the same time you always have to take into account what happens if you DO get the boni. A 2 mana 2/3 that deals 2 damage? Well, we have a new Medivh's Valet. Don't even know why it is that hated, the effect is strong enough. Now, if your whole deck consists of these cards, each single one getting something useful to aweseome effect, drawing you cards like crazy, removing creatures, dealing damage, etc. - at that moment, it could become too oppresive. Currently? I am quite excited to see what will come around it.
And for all who say 'bad for F2P players' - well, most Meta Decks needed a Legendary to craft. Razakus, various DKs, some weapons, etc. And you aren't forced into crafting them as long as the even/odd decks aren't oppresiv beyond believe.
At the moment, it looks quite cool. If they add like ~6 cards supporting even/odd for all classes (lets say 3,4,5,6,7,8 drops to prevent rushers), it may spark new and interesting decks.

LOL, You didn’t read the statement from Mike Donais right?
There are only a few more to come ( I guess 10) . And like i wrote in some cases the better heropower alone could be worth it. Btw . Mike also mentioned some classes don’t get any of the even/odd cards at all.

True, but Tankup Warrior has shown how big of an impact the better heropower alone can have.
I think Questwarrior could be a thing again, even if Warrior doesn’t get any even/odd class specific cards at all.
