Wow I'm very surprised by today's news, and it gives me hope that HS will improve going forward! Also, let's hope the Tournament mode has some good options built into it, and I'm really looking forward to playing games (PvP) outside of the ladder system.
Login rewards and other external incentives to play the game actually lead to less enjoyable experience -> less customers -> less money. And why should a player be rewarded for opening the game anyway? The daily quest system is infinitely better than a login reward system.

But why not both? ESL does this and I think has been slowly rising in popularity.
I think a first win of the day bonus would be better (similar to League or Heroes of the Storm). Wouldn't have to be much. Just like 20 gold or something.
However, I do like their quest changes coming up, it should help keep f2p people happier, with easier-to-complete quests, while getting more gold for it.
This post is off topic though haha, sorry mods.

I predict that the community will complain about the way that T5 implements in-game tournaments and we will see threads popping up everywhere about how the players think it should have been designed. I'm calling it now.

This will always 100% of the time happen no matter what they implement. The only thing that matters is whether people play it or not.

Proud of you for calling it. I predict I will wake up tomorrow and breathe oxygen.
Scissors likes the idea of banning Rock, it would make the idea of getting free wins against Paper that much more desirable.
Being able to ban what counters your deck doesn't make the game more skill-based, it just gets your troublesome match-up out of the way.
Wow.... I just made a post about custom tournaments one day before they announced it! So sweet!
Hopefully they'll add Sealed tournaments as well and be able to customize sets available!
I was not actually expecting it to happen haha. Let the hype begin! Everything will go perfectly smoothly... right?

I hope you don't have to be on the same network to host a tournament with people on your friends list.
Otherwise, I'm Hyped!
This space is intentionally blank.
Yeah if only they realeased a new tournament mode with Year of the Rave... kappa

Well now their gonna have it. But looks like not until the end of the year.
Love all the "Team 5 isn't going to make a tourney mode" posts from yesterday, and then T5 turns around and proves them wrong.
