While I'm inclined to pick Kolento because he's one of my favorite players, I went with Muzzy since he's legitimately just been one of the best NA players for the last year or so and he just destroyed the qualifier to get here. I'd love to see him take 1st!
Unfortunately now that I've voted for him it seems unlikely.

Thanks OP for the heads-up, and Alkoviak for the data!
I chose Hoej since he meets both criteria I had in mind (enough experience in significant tournaments during last 12 months, and best result in most recent event for his region).
BTW, I used to think in this sort of things you get 1 pack if your chosen champion wins, and that's all. But then on the official page we read
You will receive card packs as your champion advances in the tournament
where "packs" and "advances" might hint at a more elaborate prize structure... like, dunno, getting 1 pack if your pick ends 3rd place, 2 packs if 2nd, 3 packs if 1st, or something like that. Does any of you know for sure?
You get each pack if your champion advances to the next round.
Thanks man!
So, just to be sure:
1 pack if champ passes the dual-tournament phase
1 more if he passes through the bracket of eight
1 for passing the semi-finals
1 for winning the final
Max possible total = 4 packs, right?
EDIT: No, was close but not exactly right :P
Checked the blue post, and it's actually like this:
Just for participating, you will receive one card pack from Journey to Un’Goro. You will receive one additional card pack from Journey to Un’Goro each time your champion advances — to the quarterfinals, semifinals, or finals. If your champion plays in the finals, for example, you would earn four total packs (including your participation pack).
Shouldn't we wait until the decks are published and analyze them? I'm not saying anyone would use any meme decks but there are always some players with no aggro decks or some funny builds with weird card choices for example
Muzzy and Neirea are popular choices but they're playing against each other on round one, meaning basically out of the two most popular choices one gets eliminated immediately, resulting in one pack. Rdu, also a popular choice, plays against Tredsred, and if the popularity in voting is any indicator of their success, I'd say Rdu is much safer choice to get 2-3 packs. Muzzy and Neirea are higher risk, higher reward choices.
Went with Neirea on my EU account and Muzzy on NA.
How can you choose different Champions on different Servers? Or do you not simply switch country for EU and NA on the same account but you made two accounts?
Tredsred picked nothing but cancer, is too unpopular to become 1-pack man, and I believe is the only competitor from a country (in this case Japan).
Meets my requisites for my chosen champion :P

I have been reading the forums and apparently the votes are mostly split in Kolento, RDU and Muzzy. I only know Kolento, so, naturally i voted for RDU.
Also he play 3 aggro decks.

It's time to get one pack again. Who will be your champion?

Who's the Beatdown?
Ok, lets give it a go again.
Everytime for the moment in those event I picked someone at random and got 1 pack
So I tried a different war this time
This is the data I found on most of the other players on significant performance on significant tournament.
Based on that I will cast my vote on RDU due to him having a good number of tournament participation with regular good finish
So he will probably do a 0/3 and be eliminated on first turn as usual
Voted for the person of my nationality. If no one of my nationality was in the tourney, I would've went with Kolento.
Thanks for the thread!
By looking the votes we can deduce that Kolento will be the next ONEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE PAAAAAAAAAAACK MAN!
One pack maaan - lonely soul, two pack maaan, gimme more!

Before I vote, I'm waiting for all the contenders' decklists.. I wonder will they post their decklist before 4th of July??
Thanks
