I 've just started to play Hearthstone again for a month and I need some help. Actually I have 800 gold and I would like to buy something at he end of the month but I don't know what ( I calculated with 2000 gold for the end of January). So I have ~120 missing classic cards right now and I purchased the first wing of The League of Explorers to get Reno. The problem is Reno will be rotated soon and I like to play only in standard format, because of my deficient card set. I' am about to spend ~ 20$ for this game.
Could you give me some advice on what should I buy right now with money and golds? Is it worth to buy Karazhan + some Classic/Gadgetzan packs (5-7 pcs) or should I buy Only Classic/Gadgetzan packs (15-30 pcs)? I am at rank 19 and I can't get higher, because a lot of legendary minions are missing.
When I was new I saved up coins and bought Classic packs, so that's what I advice. Also if you buy packs, the legendarys are much better than all of the legendaries in Karazhan (The only decent is Barnes).
You can reach Legend without spending money, if you're unemployed, single, and with no social life that is.
You should quit now before it's too late. Spending money into HS (over €2000) was the worst thing I ever did. It's not worth it, you could play so many other (and better) games with that time and money.
if I didn't change your mind (we would need to sit down so I could talk you out of it), at least do not buy anything else than adventures. The gold/cards ratio is far more advantageous if you do so.
Haha yes, you changed my mind a little. I already know that buying a lot of packs is not a guarantee for success. It's like a totally waste of money.
Ok, so I will purchase only adventures in the future and buy packs only with golds. That's the right way to save money and not to be homeless in the near future. :D

first sentence made my day already but when I read that you spent more than 2k € you totally catched my attention dude :D
Now I rly would like to sit down with you to listen your story but maybe you can give me a short version of "how I spent 200 € in HS" ?
Look if you're enjoying the game and play it every day/will play it for a long time, a reasonable amount of money spent on the game will be almost negligible when compared to the hours of playtime you're gonna get out of it. I spent about 150€ and have been playing for almost 2 years (6 euros/month), I got a hell of a lot of mileage out of that money and I'm at a point where I won't have to spend any more money on the game because every expansion I'll have leftover gold and dust. Now I'm not saying spend 150€ but a small investment will definitely help you enjoy the game more.
Anyways, onto the packs, I think your priority should be having opened a total of 100 classic packs, 60 old gods packs and 60 gadgetzan packs, in that order. You need to fill out your common and rare collection and get some epics and legendaries but you'll usually want to craft those, opening packs for specific epics and legendaries is not worth it. I wouldn't worry about karazhan that much because the decks that profited most from it are shaman and dragon decks, both of which will be significantly weaker after rotation. Also all 3 hunter cards are very good but hunter is not being played right now in standard.
I think I will pay only for Karazhan. I collect golds by doing quests and 4-6 months later I will have enough to buy the new adventure and some packs of the new expansions, etc.

at first play all solo adventures, if they rotate out you get lots of dust.
i agree the only thing that worth spending money is solo adventures and maybe that starter pack which has a class legendary guaranteed.

Thank you for your great advice!
Don't spend a cent for this game, this game is only fun when you are genuine F2P player.
Dead but dreaming
thx :)
