so it has been confirmed (for a while nw) that the next expansion will also be a big 130 something cards
while adventure can be bought with 3500 for 100% of the content (idk how much $ but it's cerntainly less than paying 50$ for 50 packs )
big expansions requies a large chunk of cash or gold to get packs (heard 60 was the optimal number) , and theres also pack rng so if you want to collect 100% of the expansion you're royally screwed (thats not required thank god) i personally save up gold and buy 50-60 packs and save the rest for the next adventure , but now my gold production is not fast enough to keep up with 2 big expansions (i dont log in every day)
so for the f2p scrubs, or the people who dont get 30 wins everyday for extra gold are screwed and also for the paying players the game is too expensive ?
EDIT : TITlE Mistake :
Hearthstone got alot more expensive : 2 Big expansions in a row confirmed !
I don't think it's so bad. I'm f2p, and while I've played for a while, i usually only complete the dailies and are done for the day. It takes some time to get packs, but I wouldn't say it's too expensive. Though of course, now it's changed to two expansions, so my opinion on this could very well change.
Their are people who are collectors at heart. I am one of those people.
I thought the plan every year would be 1adventure early in the year, 1expansion in the summer and 1adventure to end the year. Every year. So I thought I had one whole year to complete a expansion before it rolled out. And once that expansion is complete, I can work on the few cards I'm missing for classic and then I could even craft those cards I missed from GvG. But with two expansions a year, that is impossible. No way I can complete a expansion in 6months before Blizz add 130 more cards. I will feel like I'll keep falling behind more and more. This really hurts my motivation of keeping playing.
I know alot of people will tell me that collecting is useless, but I also know I'm not the only one who likes to collect cards. Sure it's no big deal. But yeah, I'm one of those who feels this game is getting to expansive for my taste, especialy that I got ONLY 1 FREAKING LEGENDARY from 60 MSoG packs so far!
Next release will be an adventure, sometime in April/May, most likely featuring 40-55 new cards. Then most likely in August we'll get another 130ish in an Expansion, and then this time next year, we'll get another Adventure. Then it will alternate the next year.

I'm with u bro. I'm a collector too (and I regret for disenchant cards like Icehowl or Gruul that I don't have now (I wasn't a collector at that time)). I thought I would have time to craft the missing GVG cards, but yeah with being a new expansion I feel falling behind again and yup I think I would need to throw up money to blizz again. Don't get Salty on 66 pack I just got 2 Leg.

No, the next release will be an expansion and it has been said a thousand times in this forum. Do you enjoy making up things that are not true or something? Did you even read the opening post?
Are we going to get 2 adventure 1 expansion next year? Cuz as far as i remember blizzard stated last blizzcon2015 that we will have 2 expansion 1 adventure each year so I'm a bit confused. I know we already had an expansion and its likely we get another one so it must be an adventure for the next 4 months or so, but i still could recall they said 2exp. 1ad. each year (or i'm just hearing random things and need to see a doctor). :v

Read the opening post please, the thread title is wrong.

False. 2 expansions 1 adventure a year. next is the first expansion of 2017, then an adventure, then an expansion.
I wouldn't say it got too expensive, you don't need all the cards. Buying occasional packs and when new expansion hits and the adventures is still a lot cheaper than what my MTG collection ran me, I don't think I'll spend enough on HS to catch up on how much I've spent on my legacy mtg deck... It might seem expensive, but trust there are much more expensive games that are even more financially demanding on keeping up with expansions and meta.
How much is your MTG collection worth now -- if you sleeved your obviously valuable cards early and haven't "ruined" them?
How much will your hearthstone collection be worth in 10 years -- if you pay 50$ for the next 30 expansions / adventures?
Yeah, well I plan to always disenchant any cards moving to Wild, so the first expansion of the year I'll have a sizeable dust pile to craft what I want. Adventures are fairly cheap. It's these december expansions that are really tricky, especially one like MSG with so many viable legendaries, some of which are KEY to and playable in 3 classes.
This kind of worries me. I figure that the Summer Expansion will be the one to help rogues (people were bitching about Priest during Whispers, but by then Khazaran had already been made, so Priest was screwed until Mean Streets). People are only bitching about Rogues now (or rather the Priests were complaining the loudest but now they're sated so Rogues can be heard) so chances are the Spring Expansion won't help them since it's probably already made. But if the Summer expansion is an adventure, Rogues won't get that many class cards, and might not get a decent expansion until NEXT Winter Expansion.
A other complain I have about this, other than my obsessive compulsive need to collect all the cards, is that It makes it so hard for new players to join the game.
I'm trying to convince a few friends to join the game. But knowing how many expansions they are launching, I know they won't stay, they will feel intimidated and will never see a way to catch up. When I started, it was'nt so bad, only classic and GvG were out. It was possible to make decks ignoring most GvG cards (with few exceptions), but now, try making a deck with only classic cards and see where that gets ya...

"a thousand times in this forum" means nothing to me, is there any official confirmation from Blizzard? I'm more than happy to admit I'm wrong, but so far Blizzard have always alternated. Naxx, then GvG, then BrM, then TGT, then LoE, then WOTOG, then ONIT, then MSOG. Even with the formation of standard and wild, it makes more sense for them to keep alternating so that there are always 3 expansions and 3 adventures by the end of each rotation.
As I said, I'm just basing this on past history, not any official confirmation, because I can't seem to FIND any official word beyond "rotation will occur at the first release of next year". Nothing says that release will be another full expansion. Not trying to be a dick, just genuinely assumed differently.
edit: To back up my thinking, when the next rotation hits we'll be losing two adventures and an expansion to wild. If they keep alternating like they always have then by the end of next year they will have replaced those two adventures and one expansion, then 2018 everything switches. Lose two expansions and one adventure, gain two expansions and one adventure.
double edit: Oh snap, no, my apologies, I just found the Blizzcon Q&A panel where they said they were "pretty happy with two expansions and an adventure a year". Fair enough, my bad! More than happy to admit I was wrong :)

Not sure if you even think before you comment these things
I was gonna type a lot but got lazy, just think about the amount of cards you need to play standard and the amount of card you need to play wild
Can you explain to me exactly how Hearthstone got more expensive? The thing that's happening now already happened last year. WoTOG, LoE, and then ONiK. Now we're reseting.

My Awesome Decks
I don't understand how this is news to you when they announced this was the release schedule back when they announced standard.
Why am I sticky?
