It's a solid guess that the Kabal's gimmick has to do with Red Mana Crystals. Other than potion crafting, which we've already seen in every new spell that Priest received, the only other thing alluded to in the teaser newspapers as well as the trailer itself was them dealing with these new types of mana. Perhaps some cards create red mana and others consume it for an effect. It's hard to nail this one down since Mage, Priest, and Warlock don't already have some central theme outside of "they cast spells", I mean...every class does that.
At least the Grimy Goons all have very good weapons in their line up and have at some point in Hearthstone's history had a "Midrange" style which I'm seeing more a push towards everyday with these reveals.
As for the Jade Lotus, who knows. The gang itself deals in a lot of black market style dealings and has the whole Kung Fu / Ninja vibe going for it, which is awesome. However, the classes that associate with them don't seem to blend together in my mind. One thing I did notice is that Rogue, Druid, and Shaman all have at some point run the Malygos OTK style of deck which focuses on card draw in order to get you closer to that win. So perhaps, they want to associate the Jade Lotus with a constant cycle of cards to reach a certain combo win condition (Malygos optional). As for the shady dealing aspect of the gang, deck manipulation could also be a possibility. Beneath the Grounds is a card that only saw play when Yogg-Saron casted it and Gang Up has only been seen in a single style of Rogue because the cards themselves have been deemed too "slow". However, if an entire theme is based around messing with your opponents draws and ensuring that you have the best possible answer when you need them could be something to be exited about.

I actually think it's more likely for the red mana crystals to be a jade lotus thing. Kabal has the potions already, and the red mana crystals would fit the whole "black market" thing better because they can be seen as some kind of shady currency or ill-gotten jewels.
That very well could be, I was only observing what I saw in the teasers and trailer. I kinda have a feeling the Jade Lotus will be the next when it comes to revealing their mechanic next week...hopefully.
As far as potions go for the Kabal, merely having potions in the card art of all their spells can't be called original when the Grimy Goons got a brand new mechanic to the game. Although, when I think about how Kazakus, the leader of the Kabal works and how he's immediately able to make a relevant spell to fit the situation, perhaps his followers operate under the same mechanic, but much slower. Say Mage, Priest, and Warlock minions and spells allow you to obtain components (like spare parts) over the course of the game that they could then combine to make custom spells exclusive to their class.
In it's own way, it feels very similar to how the Goons operate. Investing in understated minions early to get a big payout in the mid game. However, in this potion idea, you invest in possibly understated minions to gain powerful spell potions in the later stages when it really matters. Just throwing ideas around...only Blizz knows.
Weapons (Hunter,Pally, Warr) , Mana manipulation (rogue, sham, druid) , Spellcasts (warlock, priest, mage) are just the classes similarities. I believe Goons , Jade Lotus and Kabal's specialties are completely different.
The Goons' buffing the hand are just revealed this week. Kabal and Jade Lotus will have a completely different specialties.
I agree , based on how boring the Goon's mechanic.. It probably just Spell Damage+ or even something more boring.
I disagree with the idea that the Smuggle mechanic is boring. The interest of the Smuggle mechanic doesn't actually come from the Smuggle cards themselves but from other cards to take advantage of them like Dispatch Kodo, Meanstreet Marshal and Dopplegangster. Its exciting to see what exciting ways the cards they make benefit from getting buffed in your hand.
It would be really cool and crazy if the Kabal mechanic was the Reno/Kazakas effect but thats probably unlikely because Reno decks would probably end up being too powerful.
Goons are shown Smuggling weapons and gunning down people, Kabal are shown brewing potions and commercializing with red mana crystals, Lotus agents are shown burgling and coming from the shadows to steal stuff from other gangs in full-sized ambushes.
I'm really interested to see what the theme is for Jade Lotus. Grimey goons are the brutes, the muscle, the hand buffs fit the theme well of physical strength.
The Kabul definitely are potions. I imagine the legendary of each faction will follow the theme. So I believe kazakus gives us that much info at least.
Jade lotus I'm not sure. Stealth and mana boost make sense. Can't wait to find out.
Lothus cards do something when they kill something.
Don't see their neutrals?
The only Neutral Lotus has is the "Discover a Family card". Just because Lotus Assassin does something when he kills something doesn't mean they all will.
There's just as much evidence for that as "Whenever they attack" with Shaku.
We know that kabal use potions spells (lot of 1 mana it seems). We know that grimy goon use hand buff minion cards. But what for jade lotus?
I mean, rogue, druid and shaman are the 3 class clan. 0 shaman card, few rogue and druid. We don't have the mechanic from the tri-class card like kazakus confirm potions and grimestreet smuggler confirm +1/+1 to the hand.
We just have 2 stealth minions, some token and crystal boost :/
So what? Maybe I missed a clue ? Or maybe not special mechanic for jade lotus? :(
For logic ninjas are tricky or better use tricks to get advantage of the opponent, so probably stealth and mana curve cheat make sense; this are alresy in the game and also in some of the cards revealed as you said. Let's hope team 5 created something new. I'm thinking about something that is usable (balanced) among the 3 classes but honestly I can't imagine.

I have a hunch it goes something like: Only limited to Shaman, Rogue, and Druid heroes. Whenever you play a card, gain a jade mana crystal, and unlike the blue ones, this doesn't automatically gain +1 at the start of your turns. And then there would be class-specific cards that would identify them as "cards that can only be played using jade mana crystals." So if this is the case, jade Lotus can have an extra source of ramp aside from their usual combo, cost reduction, and mana gain shenanigans, and can probably snowball very hard in the midgame and if some card like 1 mana spell that turns all your jade mana crystals into blue crystals this turn only, Malygos decks will probably set fireworks ( as these 3 specific classes are well known Malygos users.) Otherwise, these classes will be get rekt hard by the Grime goons with all those very cheap cards with lethal buff effects.

I think the jade lotus theme is mana manipulation, shaman has far sight, druid has ramp stuff, kun, and the new 5 mana spell, and rogue has coins and prep
I think that's unlikely, Kabla and Grimy Goon mechanics weren't based on already existing themes.

I'm reluctant to say that we know what the Kabal's gimmick is. After all, just having the word 'Potion' in a cards name isn't actually a mechanic.
I agree , based on how boring the Goon's mechanic.. It probably just Spell Damage+ or even something more boring.
I just hope its not Stealth and +X/X to friendly minions in play (based on Mark of the Lotus)

It's gonna be a blast, or it's gonna be horrible gimmick crap.
Cards with their theme and name.
And not tri class cards(that almost don't exist also).Don't be stupid.

Well, we know what the Grimey Goons mechanic is (Hold) and my guess for Kabal mechanic is Highlander, so that leaves Lotus up in the air.
