After reading the thread about Flamewreathed Faceless vs Mysterious Challenger, I wanted to know what the community's opinion was on the most difficult deck to face in the history of hearthstone.
i would say Pyrosmith giant otk warrior which was a combo involving Molten Giant, young brewmaster and Warsong Commander but that was in very early days of hearthstone and it's not even in the poll.
I firmly believe that Undertaker Hunter is the reason that any hunter deck, no matter what kind, is doomed to have people hate it. That was an awful time.
Undertaker Hunter hands down. There was no practical way to deal with a snowballing Undertaker (and board). It was often a 3/4 (or 4/5) by turn 3 which was unheard of for any 3 drop at the time.
Undertaker Hunter was really bad. If you didn't immediately get a card to kill Undertaker, you just lost. Even if you did use removal to kill it, good luck getting rid of the Savannah Highmanes. Playing minions didn't help either since they could just trade the swarm of deathrattle minions into whatever you played.
Came in right after BRM dropped. While Patron was certainly the best deck since I've been playing there were definetly ways to beat it and maybe I'm misremembering but I rarely felt like I just instantly lost.
I voted for Midrange Druid because LOE era Midrange Druid just felt like it had no bad matchups. Even switching to tempo Mage or zoo, the supposed counters just felt 55/45 at best to me. Because if the druidbwas able to pressure you at all turns 3-7 they basically just won with the combo.
Probably Undertaker hunter since it is highest winrate deck according to Blizzard data, Turn 2 Bring out your dead + i feel icky + coin + i feel icky as Hunter *shivers*
It was easy to play at the same time i remember the 1st time i tried that deck i was something like 15-2 on ladder, truly truly disgusting.
Yet still not as frustrating to play against as pre nerf vanilla miracle rogue, aggro tools weren't that great back then + loatheb didn't exist and if you were F2P player which short playing history you had really bad time against those type of decks.
Jesus, I still have Vietnam-style flashbacks of that. For me that was A LOT worse than Mysterious Cocksucker, mostly becayse Secret Pally was heavily countered by Patron Warrior (pre-nerf) and Control Priest, while Undertake Hunter was a nightmare matchup for everyone if Rexxar started with a good hand.
Freeze Mage before Blizzard and Pyro Nerf was really hard to beat. Not even Warriors could generate armor enough to control it.
But I would go for the Molten Giants + Warsong Commander + Brewmaster Combo Warrior. It couldn't be stopped and it was really hard to prevent it from happen.

Haven't been around long enough to judge, popped on during the middle of LoE

i Started a month or two before loe. Back then secret paladin and zoo lock were common and pretty hard to beat.
I didn't start playing on the undertaken hunter age, so, for me, patron warrior was the most op of all of those.
Maybe... nah nah nah nah
Undertaker hunter was tough

You can find me here! Good luck everyone!

Undertaker Hunter. And if you gave any other answer, you just weren't around when undertaker hunter was a thing lol.

Undertaker hunter of cour we.. but Blizzard took 6 month to nerf it and in the ends ruined the card..
We are forgetting original Miracle Rogue too I think. Deck was crazy.
BRING OUT YOUR DEAD
I FEEL ICKY
I'LL SHOW THEM, I'LL SHOW THEM ALL

I agree with undertaker but only for the time it remaind in gvg. The pre version wasn't that bad.
I voted patrons, sine that's the only deck I remember that could break through two 8hp taunts and still deal 70+dmg to the face in one turn
Piloted Shredder, Knife Juggler, Mad Scientist, Dr. Boom
Need to be removed from this game
Undertaker hunter. They got lethal at turn 3 lol
Just remember the good times!
You need to add some older decks to the poll:
Freeze Mage before Blizzard and Pyro Nerf was really hard to beat. Not even Warriors could generate armor enough to control it.
