BM'ing doesn't seem so bad to me in the game, but then again I squelch at the first sign that my opponent is either an asshole or has emoterrhea.

I certainly never mind a "Well Played" at the end, win or lose, although I won't emote it if I win unless my opponent does first.

I don't really see the big deal. I don't BM unless I beat someone whos been BMing me all game... but if it happens to me its not that serious.

And sometimes I do have quests to complete. That one extra minion or spell could save me a game. So its rude af to me when people concede before I get to.

-You don't have to undergo emotes from others during a game. So an autosquelch is not different from consequently squelching at the beginning of the game. You don't BM with emotes. You are just flat out neutral. Nothing wrong with that. 

- Ok saying hallo at the start of the game may seem decent. But do this emote in the first turn only if you don't want an autosquelch. So either way you introduce an autosquelch or rework the existing system.

- This is not political correctness. It's findamental human decency which amounts to respect and chevalry.

- If you are raised to peoples interest, why can't you see the current emote system is provoking BM like roping? Because if you spam emotes, or emote triumphantically your opponent will probably rope you in retaliation. Saying well played to a misplay provokes roping. It is not in the interest of people to missuse emotes. 

- BM-threads keep popping up. The best prove that there is a part of the community that doesn't like the current emote-system. And don't forget the silent majority.

 

I try to be polite to all my opponents and if they are poor sports that keep pressing the emotes I just squelch and keep playing.

I always begin with a friendly greeting and sadly for the most part players do not return the gesture.

But this is not a problem that needs any kind of report system  if anything that would create more problems then it would solve.

There's is no objectivity. Just perspectivism and relativism. Your arguments fail because they are perspectivistic as hell. With a Master in Philosophy of Science and Political Science you do not want to debate philosophy, logic and fallacies with me. I will leave it at that. After all it is just a video game...isn't it. But maybe I should come to the conclusion that all opposing me here are just those for whom BM is a first nature.

As far as in game stuff (roping, etc.), I always laugh when people post these topics because they always seem to say things like "I hate it when people rope me! I only rope when it's Hunter or Secret Pally!"

When it comes to people overplaying their hand or refusing to kill you, just CONCEDE. As long as you are gambling on the chance they screw up, it's completely on you for wasting your own time.

The second I get a hint of the person on the other end being a douche I just squelch them. 

If they rope, that's fine, it's their time to use how they want. Even if it is being used to be royal cunt.

I gladly accept friend requests after the game. I've had some nice conversations with people that way. If they want to cuss me me out or belittle me, that's fine. They're either really bothered by how bad they got beat or they need to put others down to make themselves feel better. Either way, I'm a better person than they are.

I feel like the number of people "b'ming" is exaggerated. Personally, I don't run into a lot of emote spammers or ropers, and this is from Rank 25 all the way to Legend. Maybe I'm getting lucky, or you people are overreacting to stuff like the greetings at the start of a game, or the "well played" at the end of it. Even if your opponent sends out a greeting when they get lucky, or an "oops" for something unlucky/embarrassing, it's just friendly banter that is seen as an insult. Honestly, you people need to chill and treat Hearthstone like what it is: a game.

HS really does not need that so far. BM is for fun and it is so limited. Some1 can't do much if you don't add them to see them curse :D 

If they spam emotes that is max that they can do & you can also silence it if you wish. If they rope np it is their and your right. If they rope use that time to plan for next turn.

if they spam you don't need report option cos most would abuse it. You can just silence their emotes click on their face. No more spam.
