First of all, congratulations to Wailor for winning WCDC 10.15!
This time, he opted for something quite simple and something I'm sure people have been wanting to try out for some time:
This week, make a custom Battlegrounds card! There really isn't much else in the way of restrictions, only:
Your submission cannot be an existing card, either in or not in Battlegrounds.
Competition Process
Below is a list of all the deadlines for this contest:
Preview Phase (Dec. 3, 2019 [10:00 PM CST] - Dec. 4, 2019 [10:00 PM CST]) The Discussion Topic is made available, previewing this week's competition theme. Entry and Early Voting Phase (Dec. 4, 2019 [10:00 PM CST] - Dec. 8, 2019 [10:00 PM CST]) During this Phase, the Submission Topic will be unlocked. You may also, of course, feel free to give early up-votes to any submissions that you like! Voting Phase (Dec. 8, 2019 [10:00 PM CST] - Dec. 9, 2019 [10:00 PM CST]) During this Phase, the Submission Topic will be locked, so no more entries may be submitted. Instead, use this time to browse the submissions and up-vote your favorites! Final Phase (Dec. 9, 2019 [10:00 PM CST] - Dec. 10, 2019 [10:00 PM CST]) During this Phase, the Discussion Topic will also be locked, and a Finalists Thread will go up. Discussion will be allowed to continue in the Finalists Thread, and it will also include all the qualifying finalists and a poll to decide the winner of the competition!
Discussion Topic Rules
To make sure that everything runs smoothly, we need to reserve the Submission Topic for submissions only. Everything else goes here. What is everything else, you might ask?
Rules or Process. Do you have a question about the competition's process? Do you need clarification about one of the entry requirements? Are you not sure whether your entry adhered to the rules? Ask here!
Feedback or Ideas. Do you have some ideas you'd like to run by others before settling on one? Do you need help balancing or wording your entry? Do you need help finding art that will fit your card? Or do you just want feedback from the community on your entry? You're in the right place! Remember, although you are allowed to make minor tweaks to your entry after you've submitted it, you're only allowed one submission per week, so make sure that you've settled on your card for sure beforehand.
Discussion! Do you have thoughts on other people's entries? Are there directions you don't like that you're seeing too many people take? Or directions you'd like to see more people take? Would you like to help others and contribute to a greater community understanding of Hearthstone card design and balance? This is where you want to be!
All of that said, please refrain from the following:
Posting TONS of Ideas. Discussion topics become an absolute mess if everybody is posting a dozen different ideas. Please post not more than 3 distinct ideas at a time. Any more than that and we'll have to delete your post.
Advertising Your Entry. As a rule of thumb, please don't pop in here just to advertise your entry only to never be heard from again. This includes only asking short, generic questions like "Thoughts?" or "Do you think this is interesting?". Yes, getting feedback on your entry is one of the purposes of this topic, but we're not just here for other people to help you. We're here for you all to help each other.
Plagiarism. Many people post their ideas here before finalizing them in the submission topic. Directly plagiarizing those ideas to post in the submission topic yourself is absolutely not acceptable.

The effect is interesting and novel but can seem a little unintuitive. If I understand it right, basically you have to reach Tavern 6 and freeze the whole board for a turn to gain poisonous, and before that it's a vanilla 3/6.
To go with the flavor, I might change the effect to be "after this minion is frozen for a turn, gain poisonous," and maybe make it a Tier 5 card so that it isn't too OP but also not outclassed by the poisonous spider.
Very cool concept but way too broken. Similar to why Sylvanas never made it into a card. One question: will your opponent get this card after the fight? If so, they can use it to their advantage for the next round but they might also lose a significant minion to you.

Okay - my less lazy design, now that Brewmaster seems to be disallowed:
Demons right now really have no incentive to upgrade to Tier 6, especially after Voidlord steps down to Tier 5, and they are still weak overall. Silence would be a very powerful effect in Battleground, arguably stronger than poisonous. This can be used both as soft removal of overbuffed minions (I mean Amalgams) and as a tech choice if your opponent is using a deathrattle-base strategy. E.g., against the almighty Goldrinn, the Great Wolf + Baron Rivendare beast strategy, you can single taunt her to nullify Goldrinn's deathrattle. Thoughts?
Hey guys, keep in mind your minions should have no watermark. You can do this by going to Watermarks/Custom/None.
In any case, here are my ideas:
Greedy Merchant: He basically generates 1 or 2 Gold each turn. He can also help you fish for triples.
Scorching Infernal: Currently, Murlocs counter Demons and Mechs counter Murlocs. Here's something to make those relationships circular, in addition to Soul Juggler, who kinda counters Divine Shield as well.
Coldlight Gravediver: Similar to Kangor's Apprentice, but with a much bigger effect because Murlocs have crap bodies (remember they revive unbuffed).
Finally, I made two anti-Dhield Demons more, and a card that introduces minion healing in the game mode.
A few very cool designs, but wouldn't Coldlight Gravediver be a infinite loop? cause he himself has the murloc tag. So after his deathrattle, he revives himself (or even if that wouldn't work, if you have 2 it will work). It would work better if the card itself didn't have the murloc tag (like kangor)
Should we include the combined versions of our cards or just the base form?
As for my submission I'm looking at countering Poisonous while improving the Demon toolset. It feels like a 5* minion but I'm not sure how to weigh it. Thoughts?
This is the Discussion Topic. Upvotes here do not count!
The Submission Topic is here.

I'll start things off with a quick concept I whipped up early today:
As usual, I'll try to give a mass review when more people put their cards here.
How to add Battlegrounds Tavern Banners
First, click on the little icon that says "EXTRA" on hearthcards.net.
Select the Tavern Tier of your choice!
VOILA!
Wished to be pink.
Then did.
Then fired myself.
Then did again.
Instantly knew what I wanted to do for this week. Hopefully the effect isn't too broken
Really like thE concept but how would golden work?
Favorite Cards: 1. Lord Jaraxxus | 2. Malygos| 3. Edwin VanCleef | 4. Zephrys the Great| 5. Deathwing
Golden would be no different. But this is definitely too OP as it guaranteed you always have one extra minion in comparison to your opponent.
Vote for my Card Design Submission! I love this one!
Sure.
That moment when the Submission Topic is locked.
Please double check the rules. You are not allowed to make a card that exists in the game.
So existing means not currently a hearthstone play mode card? I thought it refers to battleground.
That moment when people realize that is how these weekly competitions have operated for the past half decade. :^)

Well... I thought that would be a given since why would anyone try to submit an existing battlegrounds card? I suppose I'll clarify.

I like that a lot. Thanks for the idea.
I agree with DittoLander, this is very similar to Sylvanas. This single card can undo an entire's game's worth of hard work for an unlucky player.
As for your opponent getting this card, no, they will not. The swap happens during a fight, and no changes carry over during fights.

Giving some synergy to an aspect of BG that doesn't have any synergy yet...Deathrattles.

I really want see golden versions.
