It's been a while since I've done card design and I can't wait to start it up again. Till then though, my vote goes to Timmy and Poultry Blast. Two very comedic and original cards!
My favourite this week, besides my own of course, is Mad Mad Delton Ytrell, I really like that unique interpretation of the restriction. I also quite like Lady Anacondra, very conceptually fitting in Druid and a very believable card.
While I like the concept of Treasurehound Ronya, the execution just isn't there - the effect is nowhere near worth hobbling your deck with a 4 mana 3/3.
My least favourite of the week is definitely Poultryblast. I don't understand the appeal. It's an almost always worse Flame Lance that has a fringe effect that doesn't make it or the cards it buffs worth running, and I just don't find it humorous. Is Poultryblast an established spell in Warcraft that I'm not getting the reference for?
Is Mad Mad Delton Ytrell a reference I'm not getting?
First person I've seen that caught it. I rearranged Eldon Tyrell into a different name. And missed that I put an extra T in there. Don't make cards at 3 in the morning. Eldon Tyrell is the creator from Blade Runner. If you haven't seen it... Do... that...

Rello Dently sounds more like a goblin. Or Yellrond Elt.
Well, hmmm...one of my three card ideas in the discussion thread gets posted by another user (I still prefer it as a neutral) and makes the finals while while the card I had to submit instead falls completely flat. FML(uck)
I feel like most of these entries arbitrarily threw "10" or a number close to it on the card text simply because the contest required that threshold. Many of these cards would function exactly the same with "9" or lower. The ogres (and Foe Reaper to an extent), while clever, really didn't grasp the essence of the contest's goal to me either.
My vote goes to Timmy the Impatient for the design but do think it's a little too weak and niche to warrant a deck spot.
I was sure that one interesting conditional C'thun card would pop up, but perhaps people are burnt out from prior old god-based contests.

Its not a WoW spell as far as I know. I think the appeal comes from what Angry Chicken represents. It's a pipe dream card, something that would be awesome if it ever worked, but of course it almost never does. But man, when it does work, it's the biggest joke. I can't help but laugh when an opponent in arena or casual actually tosses down an angry chicken and makes it work.
Poultyblast plays on this pipe dream gimmick. Can you make it work? I also like it because it makes Angry Chicken slightly more viable, you'll at least bait out a hard counter. Comparing it to Flamelance isn't the point either. Unless you're building a chicken deck, you don't run this. Maybe you could run it in Reno Mage? doubtful unless you also pair it with a chicken.
The mana cost is also perfect. 1 mana chicken, 7 mana poultryblast, 2 mana hero power to activate the enrage and you've got a 16/9 chicken. AWESOME.
I also find the name humorous. So many spells and minions in this game are awkward combinations of words. How many variations on fire/flame can you put into this game? Hellfire, Fellfire, Shadowflame, Inner Fire, Dragonfire, Firelands, Flamelance, Flamestrike, Fireball, Pyroblast, Blastcrystal, etc etc. Poutlryblast represents some kind exhaustion of nouns and adjectives that plagues this game. At what point would Poultryblast be a real thing?
I've got to say, a few of these cards are cool, but a lot of them use mechanics that shouldn't ever exist to do so. And a couple are horribly imbalanced.
Timmy the Impatient - Just an awful card. It saddens me that people even come up with this sort of design. Nozdormu was a mistake, people can take however much time for their turn they want, and if this card actually existed it would infuriate me far more than any other card ever has.
Mad Mad Delton Ytrell - Reasonable concept, it doesn't excite me especially, but its pretty well balanced.
Tenor Hire - Mechanically fine. And while I'm fine with puns, I wish the card actually had some sort of flavor other than being a pun.
Xavius, Nightmare Lord - This card would be super broken. Two free card draws at the beginning of the game is absolutely nuts, it would definitely go in any sort of zoo and could pretty easily go into control warlock as well.
Ogre Summoner - This guy is.... eh. It's definitely not the sort of RNG I find fun to play with.
Lady Anacondra - Not super original, but its a reasonable card. Not sure what it would be used for, but I could definitely see blizzard printing a card to this effect.
Gallywix, the Generous - Definitely interesting, and one of my favorite. It may very well end up being too strong, but it's a mechanic that actually seems like it might be fun to play with. It could easily push a lot of different minion choices in your deck.
Goblin Curvebomber - Wayyyyyy too strong.
Jacques the Ripper - Probably my favorite card. It's a ridiculous early body, but only if your starting hand is weak. So a potentially interesting tool for slower decks, but probably not something that is going to aggro you down.
Treasurehound Ronya - This isn't something that should be in the game. I would absolutely hate having to make the choice between getting more gold from games and building an optimal deck. It just isn't a design avenue that should ever be taken.
Poultryblast - An interesting concept, but not well executed. Unless there are some absolutely broken chicken mechanics as well, it's just going to be a far worse polymorph. At least flame lance is cheaper than polymorph + ping.
Ogre Clan Leader - One of the better cards, but not especially exciting. Another card that could end up being very frustrating if it actually existed.
I think there is an error at first phase of competition people just go to the page and look only first two page. If you look at the upvotes you will see that after each entry up votes decreases. Any way those cards are terrible I will not vote any of them. Anyway I will write what is wrong with each of them.
Timmy The impatient a card to punish ropers but actually it will punish who ever think about possibilities. Also it will support aggro decks more than any other late game decks it will decrease number of the cards in the deck to 28 in pirate decks and it is just a catastrophy cuz less cards means more stability it is just an unfair card giving time to player and punishing them for using is just is not fair.
Mad Mad Delton Ytrell What the hell just what the hell it is not even Death Rattle but battlecry with taunt also it makes totally pointless of existence of Foe Reaper as a legendary card. Non of the developers will even consider to create such a card.
Tenor Hire All ten cost cards are amazingly powerful but playing this card requires a special type of deck because it doesn't worth anything at early game if you play 3 coin 10 mana minion will cost 7 mana with this card's mana value it will cost 10 mana again. To make this worth you should play atleast 7 coin till early late game than card will cost 6 mana and there is not enough coin to support this card. Maybe in the future we can see such a card but it is not possible yet.
Xavius, Nightmare Lord Just so op you will start with atleast 6 card to game that means your deck will decrease to the 24 card and 10 hp is nothing for such an advantage every single warlock deck automatically would include this card.
Ogre Summoner Okay this is the most decent card but why would anybody play this instead of any other more specific discover cards especially new tri discover card minions are way better than this. I think creator missed a point while creating an ogre card. All ogre cards have high stats for their value atleast he should make it 5/5
Lady Anacondra increase it to 11 so you can play 6 and 5 mana cards at the same time good but why would I play with this instead of such a card like Emperor ? Emperor is way better and you will benefit from this cards effect too late.
Gallywix, The Generous This card is just unfair 10 minions means atleast half of the deck will have over stat value and all of the card stats are designed to balance the game this will just break whole game imagine this in the pirate or any other aggro deck it will just ruin the game.
Goblin Curve Bomber It is more punishment than discarding your opponents card why you will make a card of your opponent useless for one mana and that card will stay in his hand like forever so they will literally only be able to hold 9 card at their hand for the whole game. Don't just don't
Jacques the ripper Well atleast this card is better than timmy the punisher why only midrange and highlander decks will be able to use this at the start of the game and it is not possible to play this game with Patches of Pirates so it will be a compensation for bad starting hand but mana value should be more and stats would be like 3-1 because it is unfair to start the game with a 3-3 minion
Treasurehound Ronya Just bad a card for grinding bullshit not even worth to mention for and it will never exist.
Poultry Blast Okay this card is ridiculous who actually would play with this card. You will require to put 2 useless card to your deck to get real value of this card so it is just ridiculous nobody would play anyway.
Ogre Clan Leader This is just a bad card stats are also bad people would considering to play this card if only you make it 6-6 it is guaranteed to hit wrong enemy so it will either will hit to the face or another minion.
I think there is only one card worth to vote and it is Jacques the ripper but it is a little op with current settings.
Poultryblast is just a humorous take on Pyroblast, since it's a big honking inefficient spell that seemed to fit the theme perfectly. That's what it has a name that resembles it (plus a mash up of words as mentioned above), deals 10 damage and is an epic Mage card.
I wanted to make a chicken card, since it's a prevalent humorous theme in both WoW and HS and I'm also fond of Angry Chicken. It was never intended it to be super efficient card you'd put in most decks, but a niche spell that could enable some fun chicken decks, so there's that. Yes, it sucks on its ow and you'd probably never play this. I wanted it to have a chicken related side effect, and afer some thought I went with buffing already existing chickens. It synergizes with Angry Chicken, Gnomish Experimenter, and with Poultryizer through Gelbin Mekkatorque to a lesser extent. You could use it as removal if you really needed to, but it's not as good asother options and it shouldn't be.
Also, the "But where is it in WoW" argument is invalid since they released Ragnaros, Lightlord.
Also, the "But where is it in WoW" argument is invalid since they released Ragnaros, Lightlord.
I'd just like to say that I wasn't using the fact that it doesn't appear in WoW as any sort of detraction - I love cards that skirt around the lore or outright defy it, they're fun additions to the game. I was just wondering if there was a reference I was missing since a lot of people seem to like the card and find it humorous, while I just don't.
Tenor Hire - Mechanically fine. And while I'm fine with puns, I wish the card actually had some sort of flavor other than being a pun.
Ah, but I specifically made sure that it had layers upon layers of flavour to match the puns! The initial joke is fairly obvious, we used the same sort of joke for the competition title - Alto: Tenor, Higher - but then the mechanics of the card are also based around that. The cost reduction from the coins is you 'hiring' this minion, the Discover is you searching for the right 'singer' for the job, and the fact that it's a 10-Cost minion is another joke, using Tenor = Tenner.
Sorry, I just really like how I managed to tie the name together beyond the pun XD
Ogre Summoner Okay this is the most decent card but why would anybody play this instead of any other more specific discover cards especially new tri discover card minions are way better than this. I think creator missed a point while creating an ogre card. All ogre cards have high stats for their value atleast he should make it 5/5
While I appreciate you commenting, I can't really use it when you come with balance ideas like that. a 4 mana 5/5 that allows you to discover a card... really? If I made a 4 mana 5/5 with no extra effect, it would be above vanilla stats - already there, that's too much. It's a 50% chance to get the wrong minion from discover, not attacking the wrong minion. That would just be a blatantly overpowered card. Compare to other 4 mana cards that draw you a card (Polluted Hoarder, Gnomish Inventor, what are there statline? They draw a card, while this let's your discover a minion from ANY class, meaning the stats are pretty fine for a 4 mana draw card.
People seem to only thing there's constructed play. I very rarely touch it, and I would love a card like this in arena play.
Really but you are missing the point here you already gave a penalty for discover card mechanic with %50 wrong card among high range of cards if you look at all other discover cards with low stats they have a specific range of choices but you card can discover worst card possible or best card possible there is too much rng for discover mechanic. So your penalty already satisfies high stats. Look at Drakonid Operative it discovers a card from your opponents deck it is best possible discover mechanic for player also this card have dragon requirement but it is not really a penalty tho now it is considered as an op card but not because of stats it because of it is able to discover a card among best possible high value cards.
I don't know if you understand what I mean but it should have at least 5/5 stats.
Hi guys, i am happy to see that i have made to final. Thank you so much for the votes. I am the designer of Goblin Curvebomber. I agree that 1 mana is really low for the effect but I intentionally designed that way. After the rotation, dragon priest will be dead and priest will go back to being low tier. Even with a broken card like Drakonid current priest is like tier 2 anyway. So I thought he needs an early strong start.
Its cost deserves to be 2 mana normally as if the effect hits a low mana minion it will be a shadow word pain with a body, if its a big minion just delays the problem (semi-shadow word death). Priest will need more help after the rotation so I lowered the cost to 1. I guess I could have added "until it is the last card in hand." to the text which will turn the minion to its original mana cost (less punish for aggro).
Also who doest want to see a 10 mana small-time buccaneer :)
My vote goes to Lady Anaconda. Fits druid's theme perfectly.

IF it's a 5/5 it will have better basic stats than any other four drops with NO penalty (Flamewreathed Faceless has a penalty). It doesn't make sense at all. The Discover would just be the cream on the top. It would be so busted in arena. Look at the tri-class cards, especially Lotus Agents. It's a 5/3 for 5 mana, and it's a class card. If you then take Kabal Courier, it's a 2/2 meaning my card should be somewhere in between a 2/2 and a 5/3. My card is 1/1 below the 5-mana cost, and 2/0 above the 3-mana cost, it's a neutral AND it allows you to discover a minion from ANY class. The latter means it should have lower stats than 4/2, but then it gets the 50% penalty meaning 4/2 is more or less the right statline. 4/3 might be appropriate as well, but 5/5 is just... jeez. Ogre Brute gets 1 extra statline for its effect... just 1. Why would I want to give my card somewhere around 5 extra statpoints? It really doesn't make sense at all.

That because they are tri class cards they discover specific class cards and it is not only minion but also spells when you require spell you can get a spell among three class. But who the hell plays Ogre Brute in constructed ? cuz it is worthless that extra stat line doesn't compensate the %50. Okay you think discover is a huge addition to a minion but that is what makes card playable you think it as playing 3 mana card that have discover mechanic so it has 4 mana value but really who hell would play another Polluted HoarderTomb Spider and those cards are way better. Look at Forlorn Stalker it is 3 mana with same stat line but it is worthless just because of 2 health it has Cult Master this card is good because you can get value at the same turn you play this card you can draw 3-4 cards but it doesn't see play in the constructed anyway. Other 4-2 cards have survivability but most of them doesn't see the play. Just think about it.

As I've already written, this card is not intended for constructed. It's intended for Arena. How come people only have constructed on their minds? It's crazy how people can never see past what they play themselves. The only thing I made a mistake of was making it epic instead of rare.
EDIT: Also, you never seem to adress the issue about making a 4 mana 5/5 with discover? How again will you justify that?
Lady Anacondra - What people seem to have discounted here is that Emp will rotate out shortly, closing off various combo plays. This card would put Druid in the unique position of being able to pull off combos that would be impossible for other classes.
Ogre Summoner - I love the flavour here. I'm still not sure if the any class part is needed, but the use of the Ogre's 50% effect is brilliant, and would undoubtedly lead to some many "trolled by Ogre Summoner" moments.
It's been a while since I've done card design and I can't wait to start it up again. Till then though, my vote goes to Timmy and Poultry Blast. Two very comedic and original cards!

Poultryblast is awesome! :D
HS must buff those chickens!! A chicken deck would be awesome!
My votes went to...
Check out my entrant for the WCDC 9.12: Bilgewater Highroller
My vote goes to Tenor Hire. Perfect Rogue card. Would the Counterfeit Coin count towards the tally? I voted thinking it would.
Ideas on how to get more variety in the meta and card pool.
