Sorry for posting this late. I was too exhausted after work to even bother turning my PC on. As usual, two players anonymously design cards based on a prompt and compete in a friendly little match. The community (you) votes on which entry they prefer, and may feel free to comment on the cards below. If you are interested in participating in these design duels, send me a private message and I will set you up with a prompt.
Design Duel #10 will actually be a tournament, where I will have 8 players do mini-design duels until only one remains! Again, if you are interested, send me a PM. Without further ado, here is DD8's prompt:
What is the point of entry 1, besides cycling a card? Gaining Stealth until the end of your turn doesn't do anything, because it won't have Stealth on your opponent's turn, which is the only time having Stealth matters.
I'd vote for #1 but it has, as others pointed out, a flaw in design/wording...so #2 it is, I like its art too. Even if #1 was worded correctly, I wouldn't want to see a turn 7 Stealthed Savannah Highmane xD
I don't know why people are always judging cards others create only by cards that already exist - I think you can always take into consideration there might be other cards that would benefit from a card someone creates - yes, there are only a few Stealth minions for Hunter now, but if/when there would be more, the card would get better, is it so hard to imagine :S
I'm going to break my own rule once here and comment/question about these two cards:
If they were both put into the game, and you used one then the other, what kind of paradox would it create?
Entry #1 states they lose stealth at the end of their turn, Entry #2 states they cannot lose it until the players next turn. If you play both, which card takes priority? The second one played? Or would this create a game-breaking paradox?
The second one played I'say...even though these are spells, probably the same like when there are two Sylvanas (or deathrattle minions) on the board, the first one played resolves 1st, then the second..

I think the 2nd card would take priority to the first. It would override the effect of the first.
I like the second card, Pass Without A Trace, more than the first, though Hunter is still lacking in class-specific minions with Stealth (which is part of the Hunter's class identity). Maybe in future expansions there will come to be more Stealth minions (preferably Neutral ones) that can increase the viability of this card. Other than that, the first card, Disengage, is just pretty wonky and too similar to Conceal IMO so I opted to vote for the other card in the end.
i like entry number 2 better, why? despite entry #2 being weakish blizzard already stated that 1 mana do something+draw a card is something they don't like, look at Shiv, Purify and Flare, all of them costed 1 mana (well purify during playtesting and it was being used to draw and nothing else so they raised it to 2 mana). the only such card that remains is PW:shield.
Just a heads up for everyone, I work until 22:00 (10pm) so I will not be able to post the results and Design Duel #9 until then. Again if you are interested in participating in these please send me a PM and I will try to set you up. I am also going to offically open the first Design Duel Tournament to all comers, however those who have participated in the duels prior (1 through 9) in the case of the first tournament will take precedence.
Stealth is primarily associated with Rogue, since they prominently feature Stealth in WoW, but it isn't limited to them. Feral Druids also use Stealth, for example. And some Hunter pets have been able to Stealth, so it's not like you're taking another class's ability and giving it to them.
Only rogue has been able to give other minions stealth up until this point. Every class has access to neutral stealth minions, and some have stealth class minions, but only rogue can bestow stealth with conceal or Master of Disguise. It would be quite a departure to allow Hunter to give stealth to other minions.

You're basically just saying we shouldn't do new things because they are new.

If we are doing straw men, you are basically saying we shouldn't have any distinctions between the classes.

You're using straw men as a straw man here. I gave reasons why Stealth makes sense for more than just Rogue. Then you said we shouldn't give other classes ways to give minions Stealth because only Rogue currently has that ability. You're reasoning is exactly as I characterized it: only Rogue can currently give minions Stealth, so only Rogue should be able to give minions Stealth. While everyone else is going to the lore to determine in what classes Stealth makes sense, you are using circular reasoning.
Also, you're wrong that only Rogue can bestow Stealth. Blizzard gave every class a way to bestow stealth with Spare Parts.
Design Duel #9 will be slightly late in being uploaded. Also be sure to PM me if you wish to enter the tournament. I will allow any and all to join, but those who have already participated in design duels will have priority. Don't let that discourage anyone though, because there is still room and a number of design duel contestants have already participated in two duels, so there's still room for newcomers.
Well that was a close one. My card indeed had an error in the text. I actually made two versions of the card, with only the wording different and the other version had the correct wording, but it seems i accidentally showed the wrong one to RedNeck :D
EDIT: For clarification, it was supposed to say "Until the start of your next turn"

Design a card with stealth synergy for Hunter.
Entry #1: ZeroAndKira Entry #2: The_Giratina (Winner!)

Gonna vote for #1 Entry, the 2nd one is somewhat bad, hunters don´t use that much stealth, would be more effective in Rouge I think.
However entry #1 Has a nice balance inside, compared to Conceal, it draws a card, wich is always good.
The joke is you.
Does entry one give stealth until the end of this turn or the next turn?
I'm assuming the latter?

Giving stealth is a rogue mechanic, isn't it?
No, Combo is a Rogue mechanic, Stealth is seen in Warlock (Blood Imp), and Neutral minions too (for now)
