Really situational on turn 4 because of its stats but the effect is really strong. This card would actually be strongest in mid to late game turns when players are running low on cards.
Also Tomb Spider into Tomb Spider into Tomb Spider into Tomb Spider . . .
Top Tier in Arena for sure. For constructed...if i would build a beast druid/hunter i would at least run 1 copy of this just because the weakness of those were always lack of draw. And this at least comes with pseudo draw. Verry good card.
Not sure how this will change anyone's opinion of the card. It only affects druid and hunter, but druid has a very small group of choices, and they are all pretty solid cards (if you're playing beasts), that this could turn out to be amazing for them.
EDIT: Forgot about Fierce Monkey coming for warrior. If you like them you'll probably see a lot from Tomb Spider.
The heavy weight (4x) on class cards is actually a huge buff towards explore ability. However after this set only 3 classes have class beasts Druid, Hunter, Rogue (yep 1 mana snake counts).
However Class beasts are WAY better than neutrals. So thats actually a huge deal. Especially for Druid, which has so much quality beasts.
Tomb spider will see play especially when meta shifts to control/reno decks this card can win you a game by fetching a malorne, or highmane if your druid or hunter.
Playing this card on turn 4 is a bit dangerous since that's often the time where you need the most pressure on the board. However, considering the class weight and usual beast synergies, there are probably ways to work around this. Houndmaster/Wildwalker come to mind as a coin play.
Might also be better to consider this as a very late game card instead of a 4 drop considering you're almost always going to go for the krush/highmane/malorne
The 3/3 is also a pretty big deifference when you compare this card in power lvl. Engineer doesnt kill 1st shredder part, this does, and trades way better.
well you also have 4x chance of dreadscale, king of beast, acidmaw, ghazrilla, hyena, wolf, buzzard, rhino as well.....
i think its better in druid or warrior to be honest..... with druid, you have 4x chance of savage combatant and malorne, unfortunately druid 4 drop is as crowded as pally
in warrior, a 4x chance for monkey is well... maybe a tempo lost.....
I was experimenting a bit with this card yesterday in a slower, more beast/flood centered Midrange Hunter deck and to be honest, I was actually surprised. It's absolutely terrible against aggro for sure because it either doesn't trade well or they just ignore it and go face, but it can significantly increase your threat density moving into the mid and late game and act as pseudo card draw to help fill out the curve which Midrange Hunter can have a problem with if they don't snowball the board super hard. Additionally acted as a reasonable, non-conditional 4-drop beast to set up for Houndmaster and Ram Wrangler.
Honestly, it's not an inherently broken, OP, must play two of in every deck card, but I definitely think that there is a place for it because the discover mechanic is super powerful and versatile.
just got off a game where i go turn 7 brann and tomb spider into tomb spider and tomb spider... needless to say, my opponent was not very please when he end up starring at 5 tomb spider in the face.
Very interesting card. I like it and am running one in my Hunter deck now, but I tried two for a bit and found that too clunky. It's absolutely great to have a 4-drop that replaces itself in your hand with a Savannah Highmane with surprising regularity, but 3/3 for 4 are weak stats. If this card were even 3/4, then I might run two, but still decent as it is.
I don't think I've ever seen an Ironbeak Owl from it, though, which is weird. Maybe I just wasn't needing one the times I've used it. Great way to have a high likelihood of having a fatty to play on curve without having to actually put it in your deck.

Literaly have gotten the Owl five times in a row now. And I always chose it since it is so useful, and other options were just mediocre animals.
Kind of screws your tempo up playing a 3/3 on turn 4 , being a beast is OK but its not a 1/2/3 drop beast to follow up with Houndmaster for turn 4 which is the biggest swing.
Just going to call this card "Value & Potential".
I think it's alright definitely not unplayable.

There was a recent announcement that class cards are 4 times likely to be discovered.

I really like this card... have not seen it yet in play under rank 10 though. I assume it is not competative enough?
Damn fun though!
Nightblade Argent Lance Flame Imp
Argent Watchman Argent Squire Frost Giant
Aviana Hogger Snipe Sea Giant

This card seems to be surprisingly strong.
You are not prepared!
Seems like a good anti-control card.
Like others have stated, insanely good with hunter/ druid.
Not as much with other classes, due to the fact that most neutral beasts are garbage.
THE ELEPHANTS WILL DESTROY YOU!
Could be better than Piloted Shredder in a control meta imo.
Gets me Mounted Raptor in hunter, which is fun.
Wait... that was Webspinner
Oh well...
