...but it has FOUR charges!! Which means the soonest you can have the deathrattle is on turn 8... Kinda too slow if you ask me, two dmg wont matter that much in late game
Its roughly equivalent to Assassin's Blade for stats. If you have the healing to use it (or just go Face with it like a mini Doomhammer) then you get a lot of board control with it.
Dang that's cool. There may be a deck with utilizes totems to stabilize in the early game, but by the mid-late game those totems become largely irrelevant. I think changing it to a Shadowform can really cement your advantageous position.
Everyone is saying this is trash and its too slow and that it would only be used to go face. Honestly, this is a great card and the fact that it is a weapon in the first place pushes the fact that it is a control card. Only thing you really want out of totems in control shaman is the occasional taunt or spell damage boost. Being able to add a way to take out the frogs you hexed or the little tokens or a bit more damage on the end of crackle and lightning bolt is huge. It extends the reach of control shaman where totems came up short. If you wanted that 2 extra damage before, you had to play flametongue totem and run your totems into the target anyway. This is easier and might even make it possible and safe for control shamans to cut flametongue and put in something else like tech cards or other necessary new control cards. It is an AWESOME control card and I am extremely excited to see it.

U can just reequip it with another weapon yourself, if u want the hero power right away, quite costly, but might fit into some new deck type.
2/4 is a pretty solid weapon statline in the first place. It's a reversed statline for Death's Bite. Good for removing trash.
The real thing is a change in the hero power however. It's certainly an upgrade over Totemic Call; in fact it's probably the best standard hero power. And you can hold onto this weapon until you draw Justicar Trueheart to replace it with Totemic Slam; at which point you can use the final charge and get an potentially even better hero power [0/2 Taunt every turn; where 2 damage to specific minions won't be as huge due to larger minions.] You don't even need to break the weapon to Tureheart. Totemic Call upgrades. Regardless of if your current power is Totemic Call.
This could be in a control Shaman or a SMOrc Shaman; although I don't really see it replacing Powermace in Mech. But of all the ways for a hero to get a 'DEal 2 damage to any target you want' hero power; this is the best; because it's tied to a weapon, not a removable minion.

I really like this weapon, it opens new possibilities for Shaman, it has nice stats and deathrattle is game-changing. It was clearly made with control shamans in mind, since it is slow and good on a long run.
Pretty interesting. You actually have the potential to change someone's hero power with blingtron.
4 durability means you wont get the effect for 3 turns after play assuming you hit each turn (and your opponent doesn't destroy it), which to me means this card is blah.
Congratulations: You have now upgraded your hero power.
Its like people forgot you can trigger a weapons deathrattle by replacing the weapon yourself.
Turn 8 to trigger the deathrattle? Did you forget to take your medication today? The soonest you can trigger the deathrattle is by coining this out on Turn 3 and swinging on Turns 3-6. Without the coin, it only takes till turn 7.
Won't see play because it has 2 ATK as a weapon? Did you recently lose your marbles today? Doomhammer, Charged Hammer, Stormforged Axe ALL have 2 ATTACK. The only exception to this is Powermace which is 3.
Do any of you know why this axe isn't as quick as Doomhammer or Powermace? Its meant for the control shaman. Control Shaman, let me tell you, can last to endgame. Before you bring up Facehunter, yes, I have outlasted him before.
Also hear is something barely see talk about in this thread: IT DOESN'T HAVE OVERLOAD. That seems like a fairly relevant point.
This card is so unique that we really have nothing to compare it to. Shadowform changes a completely differently hero power in a different class, and no other weapon does anything close to this. It is clearly a push towards a different direction for Shaman, and who really knows if a new deck type could spawn. Evaluating this on base stats or the effect alone is useless, this is truly a card that we won't know about until we try it.
If you dont overwrite it with a doom hammer next turn, you cant use the hero power until turn 7. Then again the hero power does the same damage as the weapon, but costs you 2 mana to use. So maybe it is better to keep the weapons charges.
Great idea, wait for Mr. Harrison to gather crops from harvest. :D
I think it is a good aggro tool for a shaman deck that is just going face, but doomhammer may still be better in that case since it combos with Rockbiter so nicely. Still you spending 4 mana for 8 damage in the end, and then if you have been going to the face like you are supposed to you get more burn.
Likely just a strong arena card though i like how different it feels from other options.

Youve posted this like 4 times... we get it, you dont like the card.
Honestly Harrison isnt even that big of a problem. Does he stop Paladin players from using Muster? Nope cause if the card is good youll take that risk.

I think they made this card just to prove that Justicar Trueheart ain't for shaman, or that Justicar Trueheart is even better choice.

2 Damage as a hero power is frankly fantastic for shaman if your in it for the long haul.
T4: Charged Hammer, swing
T5: Powermace/Doomhammer/Stormforged Axe

Enemy plays shredder, you play new weapon on turn 4, trying to kill his shredder for two turns... xDD

Too many charges and not enough power, but cool nonetheless.
Ragnaros is better in the late game. 4Head
