Seems extremely strong to me. Yes, he gives them a minion but provided you have any other minion on the board before you play this card, that minion can clear the 1-drop on the turn you play the Dragon.
I think Sanelis makes a good point. It seems very powerful, but the battlecry means it will often be a vanilla 5/5 or 5/4, which is good, but not broken.
Tokens aren't included when it comes to cards like this.
While I think you're probably right, there's really no way to know. Hearthstone is inconsistent when it comes to cards like this. Compare Webspinner with Bane of Doom; based on the wording, there's no way to know that Bane of Doom chooses from an incomplete list of Demons.
I don't get the whole "OP+autoinclude" feeling. Sure, this card is strong, but OP is saying a bit too much.
The 1 mana minion will in most cases immediately trade into the dragon. About a half of 1 drops is 2 attack, the 2nd half is 1 attack, some are 3, one is 0. So yeah, half of the time you are getting the awesome 5/5 for 4 (a slightly better yeti), the other half of the time you get a damn 5/4 plainstrider. And sometimes, with minions like Dust Devil, a 5/3.
Not to mention the fact that some minions summoned might have a secondary effect to come back and bite you in the ass. The simplest outcome is Leper Gnome, which turns the dragon into plainstrider for which you pay bonus 2 health for. Other minions may give the opponent a taunt to mess up your attack plan, some synergy or a spare part.
So, a strong card? Yes. A must have in every deck? Hell no.

Agree, and the moment you play another card to remove the summoned minion, you are basically paying more than 4 mana. Possibly 2 cards, 2 mana more so there is chance it becomes a 5/6 body for 5+ and two cards.
Will the early fat body hold this cons? We will see
I feel like this card was designed specifically so that Paladins can use Blessing of Kings on their newly acquired 2/1 to kill it instantly :P I mean it's 4 mana with 6 health, seems ironic to me :)
There's some nice late-game combo action with this guy and Cabal Shadow Priest, MC Tech, etc., and it does play well with the new Blackwing Technician, but I think people are overlooking how strong this card is in a basic zoo-type deck. Playing it on curve following a 1-drop, 2-drop, and 3-drop? That's brutal. You've probably got something on the board that can kill the 1-drop it summons without dying, and what can your opponent do? Even if he's got removal for the Hungry Dragon, he basically concedes tempo to you permanently.
It's scary in aggro, and decent in everything else. If you are in beatdown role, this simply has no disadvantage. It's hard for the player that falls behind to clear a board before turn 4, and by the time you play the 5/6 for 4, you'll probably have some leftover minion lurking to kill that 1-mana summon.
Definitely op, and I don't see how people think this card is bad either. Sure they may get a 2-1, or a flame imp a trade into the 5/6 making it a 5/4 that's easier to kill.. But I'm guessing sometimes you'll most likely be able to kill the one drop they get too. It might be hard to find room for this since shredder is so good atm

Not whenit comes to cards like these. Take Piloted Shredder for instance; doesn't summon tokens.
I don't understand the hype around this card : it is very similar to The Beast, which is not reknowned to be a great one.
Also, as a 4 drop, it is very weak to card like Freezing Trap and Mirror Entity which will still be very common (unless Mad Scientist get nerfed) : outside of some MC Tech shenaningans, i don't really see any reason to play this card : way weaker than aPiloted Shredder for sure...
The Beast is essentially a 6/4 for 6. This is a 5/5 for 4. They are not similar in the least. Definitely not way weaker than piloted shredder. If you actually sit down and look at the popular minions in the meta game, you would realize that Hungry Dragon actually trades significantly better than piloted shredder.
1 mana minions almost never backfires. Worst case, you're summoning a Flame Imp for your opponent and you're getting a 6 points stats for 4 mana which is not the end of the world. Zombie Chow is not even that bad because now you got 5 points of healing to prolong the game, which I believe Dragon deck wants to do anyway because their awesome late-game legendaries.
If you're playing Hungry Dragon as a Druid or Mage, you've like 50% chance (17/33) to kill it with your hero power. Of course in that case you're paying 6 mana for 5/6 stats.
What makes this card great is that it kills majority of current turn 5 plays "for free." Sludge Belcher?no problem, it will eat that. Loatheb? No Problem, it will eat that.

Really nice card but too rng-ified

I love scrubs
Can't wait for my Sky Golem to summon this guy!
You mean Piloted Sky Golem

More-aggro-love in typical Blizzard fashion.
I'm pretty sure this card is going to go into the auto-include queue for any deck that isn't worried about being rushed down.
Shadow Word: Death buff? not really
Insane card in arena and really good in constructed. Also it doesn't backfires that much in the lategame like the lord of the pits :v

I can already see the Funny vid. Opponent plays HD, I get a Dust Devil, double Axe and Flametongue, he's at 8 life on turn 4. I love this card.

Ugh. We're going to be seeing even more Mirror Entity and Freezing Traps, people.
Another good drop from Piloted Sky Golem
Mostly Harmless
A great card.

It also has synergies with cards like Cabal Shadow Priest and Mind Control Tech.
Just a great card. This should be the backbone of potential Dragon deck.
Meta changes the moment you switch your deck.
