Wow, this seems really powerful. The best they can reasonable get is a Flame Imp. Although, due to them being able to attack first, I guess it could be considered a 5/4 or so on average.

Favorite class: keeping all 9 of them equal in level.
In arena this is most of the time a top pick, but might bite you back if you're facing a lot of aggro.
In constructed it's a card that can either define the meta or be completely excluded from play.
It's extremely good on it's own, but standalone 4-drops for a long time were a rare sight in Hearthstone. Yeti's were always considered very good value yet they rarely saw competitive play. Even the Mechanical Yeti isn't an auto-include in mech-decks. Actually the only stand-alone 4-drop played across many decks is Piloted Shredder and it's feature lies not in the stats but in stickiness and the mech synergy. Other 4-drops are also synergetic like Argus, Twilight Drake, Mountain Giant, Dark Iron, Violet Teacher or Blastmage or they fill in a function in a deck like Sen'jin or Gnomish Inventor.
Actually this card might be extremely bad if aggro is again on top of the meta. Giving your opponent another minion if he's playing zoo or face-hunter might be a terrible play.
I don't know if anybody mentioned it but it also has some very nice synergy with Sea Giant since most people expect it will be included in aggressive decks. I thought it was worth saying! :)
Really good card. Yeti with +1/+1, Dragon giving them a 1 cost creature. Probably the best cards they could get would be Zombie Chow , Flame Imp or Worgen Infiltrator (if you don't have aoe).
I don't understand the hype around this card : it is very similar to The Beast, which is not reknowned to be a great one.
Also, as a 4 drop, it is very weak to card like Freezing Trap and Mirror Entity which will still be very common (unless Mad Scientist get nerfed) : outside of some MC Tech shenaningans, i don't really see any reason to play this card : way weaker than aPiloted Shredder for sure...
The Beast is essentially a 6/4 for 6. This is a 5/5 for 4. They are not similar in the least. Definitely not way weaker than piloted shredder. If you actually sit down and look at the popular minions in the meta game, you would realize that Hungry Dragon actually trades significantly better than piloted shredder.
Sure it's a slightly better deal (but be careful, you don't use the same method to calculate both value). Sure, the 5 attack is nice, but its also much easier to remove : if your dragon gets fireball'ed (or owned by any similar removal), you're screwed, and you would have been better off using a Yeti instead.
Let's look at it in a different way : is getting +1/+1 on one of your minion worth giving your opponent a free 1 drop ? Since you give more points of stats to your opponent (in most case 3 against 2 for you), it looks like a bad trade. So, "in a vacuum" this guy is already worst than a Yeti ...
So, unless you have ways to negate this dragon's drawback (like an AoE), or to make it work to your advantage (MC Tech), Piloted Shredder or even Yetis are much safer picks.
No one runs The Beast because it is easily removed ( Big Game Hunter , Fireball + Fireblast ) and it doesn't do anything when it comes in. It's also a turn 6 card, where there are plenty of better cards to run. Piloted Sky Golem, Sylvanas, Cairne. This Dragon is going to be used in a more Control style deck because it screems "Get Value out of my states for the mana".
You COULD run Yeti or Shreddar, but this has the benefit of being a Dragon (which will likely have many benefits with this Adventure set). It's also going to be tough to remove being a 5/6 on turn 4.
i already have some ideas on how to do dragon priest. turn 7, if you opp has 3 monsters, summon this guy and Mind Control Tech for an easy steal. 8 mana use Shadow Madness to ram it into another monster for an easy kill and if you are lucky, turn 10 Cabal Shadow Priest to steal it for good and plus off of the summon as long as its 2 or less atk but there are so few 3 attack 1 drops.
I dont find this card being that good? giving stuff to your opponent is not good, unless you combo it with MCT or anything else, but why you would run this card, for example over Pit Lord? That minion that you give to our opponent can just be buffed or anything else, or it simply make your Dragon a 5/4??? I have to see it first, I only see it "viable" in Dragon decks.
This card in my opinion is really really strong, if you don't think hunters will run this in aggro your kidding your self.
Allot of people are saying it's a worse yeti, it dies to fire ball and you give a free 1 drop ect ect. To me it seems as though most people are thinking worst/best case when they play this card.
What happens when you play against a hunter who plays this card? turn 1 leper gnome or coin juggler or creeper then another minion then a bow then he drops a 5/6 and you think a 1 drop can some how save the day for you or negate some of the damage? omg....
What card do you play on turn 4 that kills his board? What minion do you play that won't die for free? If you don't have hard removal in hand then what.
Considering I play priest what do I do when a warrior drops this with war axe in hand? Do I use shadow ward death? what about geddon, rag, alex, shieldmaden, dr boom? You can't death a 4 drop and expect to win.
I think this card asks you a question and if you don't have the answer in hand I think you just loose.

I don't use the same value calculations for a reason. Beast has a death rattle, where as with Hungry Dragon, the 1 drop comes into play right away. You can't use the same type of value calculations for that.

You still have the opportunity to remove whatever minion you give your opponent before the end of your turn. Nobody seems to realize this.

Edit: Of course, I picked the wrong giant!

even trades well with Sludge Belcher o_o

Pit Lord is a warlock card. If priests could run Pit Lord, you'd better believe they would be all over that shit.
This combo'd with Stampeding Kodo m8????? Cabal Shadow Priest????
Or any weapon will do as well...

When I see this card all I think of is this
I cannot wait to see the Golden Version of this!
one word: sap
must be awesome giving a Mana Wyrm to a rogue.......
Definitely good but overhyped. This card actually promotes aggro and in aggro meta, its basically the same as a yeti.
I like it strictly because of Piloted Sky Golem and druids
I love scrubs
I think is broken. Is a big dude you have to take out, this big of a treat and is just turn 4....gonna be rough.
Yea this is the best card annouced for sure!
I can see some Priest Shenanigans incoming for sure...
For example: Turn 10 Hungry Dragon + Cabal Shadow Priest to steal token :)
as a shaman player i like this card. its a great 4 drop but it also gives me free stuff on the board.
i like free stuff on my board as shaman.
