You're getting downvoted, but I agree. Around rank 5 on EU it's nothing but Aggro Druid/Shaman/Rogue, Secret/Control Paladins and Control Priests with Entomb. Control Warriors are unfavored against every single one of those decks.
I was thinking about how many times I've needed Alexstrasza in my games as of late and I can't think of many times I needed her effect at all. With the addition of Justicar we've gained so much staying power that you often don't really need to heal yourself anymore. This means I hardly ever need to use her as a combo piece for the Grommash finisher either, instead relying on outlasting the opponent as a win condition, which is more reliable. I was thinking of replacing her with a Kodo Rider, which could help win back the board against tempo decks or help outlast control decks. Any thoughts?
I'm not looking forward to playing against Priests with my control Warrior, it seems this card will swing the matchup from about a 50-50 to firmly in the Priest's favour.
I don't think the Hearthstone artwork is bad, it's just boring and generic. Most MTG artwork is more creative and original, but then I suppose they get to use their imagination more as well instead of having to work off of existing characters.
I've been trying this deck for a while and I'm really missing the acolytes against agro. By turn 5 or 6 I find myself topdecking for answers. Any idea what to take out to put in acolytes?
After many 10 and 11 wins I'm happy to finally be able to post my arena deck in this thread. Even though I had good quality cards, I didn't expect too much of it due to the lack of two drops. The weapons managed to do a lot of work though.
I guess the zoo match up is not totally horrible for warrior, but zoo definitely seems favored to me, although I guess it depends on how much early game you run.
CW can counter face hunter/zoo/demon lock and freeze mage.so yes, maybe it's time to take out the war axe again
CW a counter to zoo? It's the other way around in my experience. Besides, with midrange hunter, druid and tempo mage all being very popular, you have just as many bad match-ups as good ones, if not even more.
you know what is funny.. BGH is not an argument anymore.. not after the whole set has been shown.. TOO many targets, too many minions that will punish you for BGH-ing something else.. we might see a double BGH meta for a while and then go back to 1 BGH as always + more class hard removal
I don't think more targets makes him less powerful. BGH's strength comes from the fact that he swings tempo in your favour so badly, making it hard for the opponent to recover.
My problem with this card is not that it's weak, it's that it's boring as hell. Another burn spell is really the most interesting thing they could come up with? Come on.
I don't agree that this card won't see play in Mech Mage because of Antonidas. You usually don't even see him, since games often end before you draw even half your deck and you always mulligan him away. Saving spare parts for him isn't always correct and with flamewaker you get a ton of extra synergy. I think breaking mech synergy is the bigger issue, but I currently play water elementals, loatheb and blingtron in my mech mage, so surely I could find some room for flamewaker if I needed to.
I don't think this will see any play. Even if you do fill up your entire board with something like bouncing blade, it'll take your entire turn and you'll just have a bunch of weak, damaged minions that die to any AoE.

Has anyone tried Eydis Darkbane in this deck? Seems it might work with the spare parts.

It's common too, this will help Shaman in arena immensely.
