Why would I make my deck crap (highlander) in order to get a 2 mana cheaper krush? I don't get it. Just run krush if you really want. Or oondasta to pull out krush. Only has niche wild combos with brann himself.
Two instant 8/8's with Charge on Turn 10 are too slow now.
Ya'll can't even Face Huntard anymore without bitching that the new cards just aren't brainless enough. Hearthstone should just have an automatic function from now one like all those other F2P gacha games, amirite? Press the auto button and the AI plays everything for you.
Even that will become too hard - too slow - at some point.
We'll see. I remember when everyone thought Spellhunter was garbage. Highlander Hunter seems similarly ridiculous but I think will surprise.
To My Side! was shit on so much by all the "experts" on this site and elsewhere, and it turned out to be part of one of the most consistent hunter decks available. Hunter have strong cards, they have the best chance to pull off a Highlander while still being able to push pressure at face. This is like a Spiteful Summoner on steroids, albeit legendary. This won't be terrible, which is more I can say for Reno and Finley.

If you thought you knew what you think I know, then you'd know I knew you knew I know.
People who say "just run King Krush" make me laugh so hard. Turn 7 deal 8 damage to the face is a very different effect to a turn 9 deal 7 damage.
Is it worth to limit hunter decks for that? I doubt that... On other hand, hunter has a lot of good card that aren't run in current decks. Houndmaster Shaw is a good example.
And It is very easy to make a midrange\aggro(even odd) singleton hunter in wild.
All of these cards will be hampered by Bomb Warrior. But let's imagine that is not the case, is this card still good in a highlander hunter deck?
I don't think so, not in Hunter at least. You can run all the minions that take out other minions, so you can have some single target removal, but where is the card draw to make this happen? Brann is not a beast, so that won't work.
I think these decks will need both more in class support AND neutral cards that have the tagline "If your deck has no duplicates, do X"
If there are enough good hunter cards to make a decent highlander deck, chances are there will be a more dominant hunter archetype that performs better in every aspect. And I don't see a highlander hunter filling a specific niche of an archetype that couldn't be made better by just running a normal deck.
That said, I'll still be trying it out, just because. Voted 'playable'.
Hunter running Tracking and Calling can filter the deck well enough for Brann to work even with a bunch of doubles.
At the very least I expect to see some greedy variants similar to last expansion’s Maly Hunter. But I wouldnt be surprised if Brann finds a place into some competitive list.
This card is about 4 mana better than King Krush, which is a near playable card. Is it worth building a highlander deck for 4 mana AND you need to draw this? ... no
Well "control" Hunter was never a thing (it is with Deathstalker Rexxar & Zul'jin) because of the passive hero-power. But why do you want a singleton Hunter deck and with such card that asks you to just hit face.
Also the reveal stream showed no card that destroys duplicates, meaning Bomb Warrior is going to have a field day if somehow this becomes a tier-1 meta deck.
brann with this
10 mana 16 damage

In wild: Alexstraza turn 9, double brann on turn 10 (Brann Bronzebeard and Dinotamer Brann) = 16 damage!
Add in alexstraza a turn earlier :O
Hunter has always been known for being aggro and always run two copies of almost all his cards, it is not worth taking this card
Too slow.
Exactly! Not worth gimping your deck to save 2 mana.
Yup and most hunters in fact do run Leeroy.
Good luck making it to turn 10 with Renohunter in a meta full of big priests and aggro.

there are nine hunter cards to go. odds are support will come
i don’t think they’re gonna pull a Cathedral Gargoyle with one of their flagship legendaries

Double, tripple battlecry effect can make this card op imagine you pull 3 king krush
we need a 3 mana "destroy all duplicate cards in your deck"

This is rather underwhelming in Standard.
Wild... though, I see some potential.

How about instead : "If your deck has only beasts summon King Krush"...Damn midrange Hunter would make a strong return with a card like this
