Most useful in Rogue. But not only there. There are a number of other cards that add to your deck.
Warrior, priests, and druids have had decks in the past that could make use of this and (in the right meta, where fatigue is relevant) could do so again. And other more memey decks could use it.
In some cases Brann Bronzebeard would be better, mainly because he is more flexible.
That is true, but don't forget this card works with spells too and is an epic, which means you can run two of them in your deck. :O
I know, but I only said, that Brann is more flexible, since he can interact with other minions from your deck. While the elekk can interact with spells as well, the beast has a rather restricted effect and a restricted field of activity.
Put Brann in a control priest deck or a control mage deck. Both of them will interact with Archbishop Benedictus or Manic Soulcaster the same way, while the first one can give you more value from your other battlecry minions (Drakonid Operative, Netherspite Historian) or Kazakus (in mage). The second one can be kinda good in some situations (if you really want to add a second copy of a minion with Entomb or if you want to dilute the opponent's deck with Psychic Scream), but they all sound too specific to me.
Look, I want to repeat myself. I'm definitely not saying, that this card is weak/bad, but just very restricted. There will be a strong rogue or a Baleful Banker combo someday, but I'm not really convinced that we should find a card slot for this beast.
Weird card, I see it as a late game support for those who want to shuffle a copy or non-copy of a minion or spell into ANYONE deck. For example, you can play Iron Juggernaut or Fal'dorei Strider, woah that's crazy!

You are right, it's scope is far more narrow than Brann's. But it also can potentially work with Brann, even if the combo's aren't cheap to pull off, but the meme factor is great. At least in wild.
In standard there is a lot of place this can get some real use. I love that it's a neutral as well. I think it's strong enough to just simply see play in some decks that can make use of it. I also think it's an effect worth pushing the limits on so we can find out what is worth trying to combo with it.
This is a really good card. I’m a bit disappointed that it’s a neutral epic when that is the class that overwhelmingly benefits from this card. IMO this should have been an epic rouge card. Seriously, what are Paladins, Warlocks, Shamans, and Druids going to do with this?
For the memes maybe, but why would you hold onto the elekk just for this 10 mana combo? Archbishop gives you plenty of value already. You don't really need the extra shuffle, if the initial one can bring you the win as well.
Just play on curve in rogue, a must remove with 4 health in turn 3 is good enough.
The deck don't need anything else than Fal'dorei.

Strange, can work
i agree since brann could work with non shuffle battlecries too,
but elekk is better with spells.

Let's talk with examples:
Brann Bronzebeard and Augmented Elekk can both interact with Lab Recruiter the same way. The elekk allows you to put more stuff with Gang Up, while brann can help you to mill your opponent with Coldlight Oracles or to sustain you with Antique Healbot.

I am sure some people will come up to some great decks based on this.
So here is meme level combo. Emp Tick 1 on all three combo pieces. Play Brann Bronzebeard > Augmented Elekk > Iron Juggernaut. Then just force them to draw as much as possible.
So does Academic Espionage shuffle in 11 or 20 cards when Augmented Elekk is in play?
EDIT: Nevermind, didn't know there was a gameplay video. That's kinda silly.
in Wild this will be so fun with Iron Juggernaut
Augmented Elekk + Augmented Elekk + The Coin + Deck of Wonders = ???

It's fun in any event.

Two words: Archbishop Benedictus.
How would this work with Dire Frenzy cos its shuffling 3 of the same card, does it shuffle 4 or 6 with this card?
.
6. It says 'Whenever you shuffle a card into a deck', which would mean
+1 (+1)
+1 (+1)
+1 (+1)
This will be part of a broken deck, week 1.

What happens if you have two of these out, and then Lab Recruiter? How many copies do you get?
