Yeah guys, super easy to counter this combo, jeez.
Just run Geist, that 6 mana 4/6 minion (Priest combo can kill you on turn 2 btw)
Just trade into Priest's healthy dragons guys, it's so simple and easy, trading into those 4/10 Drakes on turn 4. I'm surprised Priests bother using them when they're apparently so easy to trade into :^D
Also guys, make sure to kill all of your own minions with 4 or more Health. I mean, otherwise you're just asking to get Madness'd and combo'd. And especially no playing Doomsayers to try and control the board either, nonono, that's a death sentence remember :)
Oh and the most imprtant reason not to complain about a broken card. Some of the support cards are rotating out soon :O I'm certain Blizzard wouldn't continue to print even better combo priest support cards (like they have been for the past 4 expansions)...
Jesus man, pull your head out your arse. How many times have you witenessed turn 2 lethal by yourself or your opponent? Exactly... Geist is a superb counter and requires them to use a stat flip card to combo. The whole combo is fine as is.
im with you that all of the gameplay of divine spirit/inner fire priest is just toxic in a way. However its a cheap deck to allow F2P players get to legend atm and thats fine.
Id like to see divine spirit going to HoF but the whole problem is actually caused by shadow visions because you can get a ridcioulous amount of copies so easily.
This is a daft thread that I don't agree with but then in the comments I see people are stating that it's possible to get lethal on turn 2 with this deck. Come again. Who designed this crazy state of affairs anyway?
It's possible but incredibly unlikely. For starters, it's only possible in half your games when you go second. After that, you need the perfect mulligan, and after that, the perfect back to back topdecks, and after that the perfect back to back discovers with Shadow Visions.

Skulking Geist will be gone in a year. Inner Fire will be around forever unless they Hall of Fame it.
This makes me think it will be up for HoF consideration next year.
(That, and Kibler has mentioned he'd like it go away, and Blizzard does seem to listen to his advice even if they don't always follow it to the letter.)

Spellbreaker will be around forever. Inner Fire will not be nerfed. edit: Not to mention, among other things, buffing your minions has always been a part of Priest's core identity, and likely will stay that way. Talk about the nerf to Charge all you want, but that was never really a part of Warrior's identity the way weapons, armor gain, and 'damaged minions' was.
I don't know what solution would be better, but this ridiculous combo needs to go.
We can't even leave a mere 6 hp minion in his board, because is 24 damage from hand with 5 mana, taunt? Useless, silence 0 mana. Geist? Useless, crazed alchemist.
If a minion with 6 or more HP automatically loses you the game, please just concede every game vs combo priest. I'll take my free wins.
Oddly, I have lost some games this season with combo priest. I must be doing something wrong because this combo is definitely unbeatable and you can't play around it.

You guys are ridiculous. Instead of countering it, you want to nerf it. Maybe you should focus on your own game and improvement instead of asking for nerfs on cards you don't like because certain crazy combos are possible.

Divine Spirit + Inner Fire has been around for ages. The only reason why it's being seen now is due to 300 other cards. Specifically, the meta, the tools priest have to survive until they can combo it off, etc. If aggro was a little stronger, if Shadow Visions didn't exist, if the dragon package wasn't as strong, if Potion of Madness didn't exist.... pick any of the cards, nerf one of them and the deck isn't seen again.
Guess what? Standard rotates in 3 weeks and priest loses a bunch of their tools to pull the combo off. Why not wait until then?

Regardless of rotation, it's still not hard to see how this card limits design space. Anything that makes it easy for Priests to buff health is going to be dangerous. I'd rather see the health-buffing part of the Priest identity flourish than leave this overplayed combo in the game.

All this arguing about a deck that will be irrelevant in one month is stupid
Dibbity don't touch that!
OP doesn't really understand why charge was nerfed

Do you even Crazed Alchemist?
Divine Spirit is the card should be looked at, not Inner Fire.

Charge wasn't countered by Geist, it costed (3).
