Anything that: -isnt expensive -lets you re utilize minions and spells is good for rogue and will be played. This has those two things. Also, THICC rogue
The 1/1 bonemare you could be getting from this doesn't exactly cost one mana though, you''re still paying 3 mana for a bad body in order to obtain this effect. I still think the card is quite good, for the additional utility it can provide to decks like tempo rogue or perhaps some sort of combo build.
But it's not as good as some people here are making it out to be. You also have to rid of the target creature in order to obtain the copy, so there will be instances where you will have this in hand, trying to create optimal circumstances to play this card. It probably won't be the most consistent card out there because of this. Van Cleef is himself quite situational and even a trap at times, this card could compound the consistency issue.
That said, I will try this card out in every rogue build i can think of when i get my hands on it, possibilities galore.
This + master of disguise means a constant engine of cards that can't be targeted right? Since you can keep getting more Masters of disguise to reapply the stealth? Does that sound worth it? It seems worth it to me.
If it copies zero minions, that's user error, not a problem with the card. If you don't know how to play it, yeah, it might not be that good. Really well-analyzed, man.

It's gonna be most useful in situations where they are cheap and disposable and the battlecrys or perhaps deathrattles are the real power of said creature. Like dropping her on a board with two Jade Swarmers and Buccaneer.
Will become a staple. Fits every competitive deck. Rogue was already a class where you need several legendaries to get somewhere and this one will be added to the list. After Wallet Warrior and Paycheck Paladin... Rich Rogue?
If this minion is on the board with others, and I clear the board with spell (Consecration?), will the effect trigger? Will all the minions that die alongside her go back into the opponent's hand?
Turn 2 1/1 stealth jade minion, turn 3 this and trade the jade, already get the value, opponent MUST destroy her like Fandral for druid with let see frostbolt or something like that, you already get card advantage.

No, the text say "after", she have to be in board to trigger the effect.

My tentative guess is that it will work like Cult Master. While they aren't worded exactly the same, I believe it'll essentially be the same sort of effect. Otherwise she would affect herself and you could never get rid of her without a silence, which would be two strong.
That is to say, if she takes lethal damage from an AoE she won't be copying anything else that dies at the same time. If she did, according to her own wording, she'd copy herself as she is also a friendly minion.
Grumbles ex wife. They were never going to work out with their preference for 1s. In the end Grumble would cry about how Sonya was ultimately the death of him.

Don't look too much situational to me...
Even a Firefly is not that bad.
It's the same as Cult Master, except that it costs 1 mana more, has +2 attack and your opponent knows what you got. Sure the 1 mana makes some combo cards like slayer better, but essentially it's the same principle. She also must be removed obviously, yet she sees almost no play, because she is so easily dealt with and the board state too situational for her to give a big payoff.
Good card for quest Rogue, this plus Cheat Death might make it viable again
Although I don't think, that the rogue secret will be that useful, I'm sure, that this legendary will (somewhere). And I also think, that her place is in the QR deck like you do. The tokens are cheap, small (aka they can be easily traded off) and many. And even if you don't get to use her in the early game, then, yeah, when your minions become 5/5s, she will refill your hand.
Outside of QR - well, I think she's kinda slow and not that useful, maybe she would be used in value decks? Such as N'Zoth or Jade? Normally those decks need tools to survive (and to make a comeback for that matter) and thus I don't think they will kick off with this legendary, but we are yet to see the other cards from the K&C set, so I hope I get proved wrong.

Step aside, Ultimate Infestation, there's a new Broke Back card in town and her name is Sonya Shadowdancer.
lul at some people complain about a bad body of a 3 mana value card....also stop complaining about her body her body is obviously great.
