Now priest have a good reason to run 2 copies of Stonehill Defender. This gives control priest a solid boost. Also its insanely good w quest/n'zoth priest.
Its like all the cool legenday minions, looks powerfull and op, but too slow to actualy work...
I mean they really ought to stop printing all cards that cost more than 5. Blizzard get your head out of your ass, where is my 1-drop that deals 30 damage to any target?

Life before death. Strength before weakness. Journey before destination.
I dunno if this is as good as everyone is making it out to be. It's a good card to get from free from amber and improves that card, sure, but a lot of the time I'd rather have a 12/12 minion or Ysera. It won't save you against aggro or help you complete the quest, because against aggro, if you haven't completed the quest by turn 9, you're dead. It's a good target to get from barnes, especially with eternal servitude, but that's unreliable. It won't give the needed oomph to push past control paladin in control matchups. It could be decent against mage, but I feel like priest needs more cards on turns 4-7, and by turn 9 you've either stabilized or you're dead. The deathrattle is also a random effect, which means it can easily kill a 1/1 minion if your opponent is playing around it.
My experience is with quest priest though, not control priest, so it could be what more viable decks need. This does sound like a very good N'zoth target, but even that's not guaranteed in quest priest, because you're running so many deathrattles already it may not show up at all.
can u live to turn 10 to play 12-12 ? or ysera can counter aggro ? Ysera is one of the best controlish card in HS history, she dont have anything to do with countering aggro decks.
Quest priest struggles against fast and furious agro decks especially against token druid and token shaman beside them midrange Hunter is also a problem they beat quest priest on curve but if you manage to complete quest in time that becames insta win
Such an insane anti aggro card. Great turn 9 to stabilize. The only question is can a control priest survive against aggro/midrange to turn 9?
Anti-aggro? When was the last time that an aggro deck as arrived to turn 9? Considering its deathrattle effect is more something against Control's late game threats (consider that it also counter Brawl, killing the enemy survivor minion if your opponent won it).
When was the last time you played a control deck ?
Last time I checked, control vs aggro matchups generally get to turn 10 if there isn't a rage concede.
If you're playing aggro and you have arrived to turn 9, you have pretty much already lost the game.
Great card against midrange and control decks, reminds me of a shadowverse card which name i forgot (but it had pretty much the same effect iirc even with taunt)
Also incredibly strong with nzoth.
Underworld Watchman Khawy. They merged the healing with his deathrattle destruction effect though - it kills the strongest enemy minion and heals you for its attack value.
Obsidian Statue emphasizes the healing aspect more, hopefully that can justify it's enormous cost.
Undoubtedly a disgusting card. The question is this; can priest survive against aggro long enough to play this card and stabilize while still playing the value cards that make this thing busted (i.e the 4 mana revive and nzoth). The answer to this question remains to be seen with Shaman getting another busted evolve and pirate warrior and token druid not going away either. Plus, no matter how much value you get from these I think you still lose to Jade druid in the long run unless they get off to a really bad start or foolishly don't go infinite.
Overall, it's a great card. I'm just not convinced it helps priest win any matchups that priest doesn't already win. Massive potential though.
I think it's not worthy of being included in your deck but it's a very good option from Free from Amber and Stonehill Defender as it's the only 8+cost Priest minion and only the 2nd Priest Taunt minion. But the question is can Priests cut Curious Glimmerrot or Kabal Talonpriest for Stonehill Defender? Only time will tell.

Hmm, now that you mention it, this card actually is an insane boost to free from amber against aggro. I'm currently trying to perfect a f2p medivh centered amara priest deck (its not super good, but its really fun), and there are a fair number of times when I reach turn 8 with the quest at 5/7 and an empty board and 6 or so health, this would be the best possible summon under those conditions, probably better than sliggoth.
Turn 9 would be too late to play this in the deck I'm using most of the time, but turn 8 with free from amber might be fast enough to help against aggro. You have a point.
Only priest minion over 8 mana so far. Will be in almost every free from amber discovery.
Also will be found in stonehill defender a lot. If not the card itself finds a place in the decks stonehill and free from amber will because of this. And of course the ress spell.
and this is bad. It's not even a Battlecry. So, your opponent can play around it and it will be destroying Totems and Fire Fly. I will rate it playable. Lifesteal on a Priest minion isn't a big deal.
agree
You may agree but I believe that you would be wrong. Anytime you don't have to heal your own face you can heal your minions instead, this is a big deal. As far as playing around it goes, you could play around sylvanas too. She was strong enough to get booted into wild. obviously it's not quite as tricky as Sylvanas. For example if you had 1/2 and a 5/5 on board you'd sacrifice you 5/5 most times just so they wouldn't steal it and instead get the 1/2. This just kills both. But the kill effect isn't good just because your opponent has to play around it, it's also good because it's god damned easy to get a lot of this card in one game and they have to play around it a lot, heal you a lot all the while not getting in to do face damage.
Seems way too slow and underpowered to me for the mana cost. 4/8 taunt is worth 6 mana. Lifesteal in priest is only useful against aggro pretty much, and if you made it to turn 9 against aggro you pretty much won anyway. The deathrattle can be easily played around, not to mention you can trade all your minions into it, finish it with spell if needed or stick some weaker minions on deathrattle effect. The effect is really similar to Chillmaw, which is pretty much a bad card, but this one is even slower, has the same ammount of stats, only better stat distribution and costs way too much.
Class cards have a higher chance to be discovered, right? So you'll almost always geht this from Free From Ember because there aren't any other 8+ cost priest mininions.
You'll almost always get this from Stonehill Defender too.
I'm pretty sure it doesn't quite work that way. I ran Tomb Spider in my wild discardlock for the longest time assuming it would almost always generate the Clutchmother Zavas since she was the only warlock beast. Turns out, she only showed up maybe 1/3 of the time. I think that class minions just get a higher percent chance over other minions of showing up. If you're drawing for something like a beast, deathrattle, or 8-10 cost minion where there are a ton of minions present, you're not guaranteed to get exactly what you want. Mind you, I ran Tomb Spider with only Clutchmother in mind. Priest doesn't mind generating other taunts or other high mana cards. But don't assume that you'll nearly always get this as it doesn't work that way.
It's not Battlecry: Solves all your problems and thinks for you, so this card is bad.
Just tell me how to think and what decklist to play guys, I can't be bothered by thinking outside of this goddamned box.

Slow, but playable. If you can build a priest that consistently get to this then it will be very good.
Quest priest struggles against fast and furious agro decks especially against token druid and token shaman beside them midrange Hunter is also a problem they beat quest priest on curve but if you manage to complete quest in time that becames insta win
Pretty strong for a frog/sheep

pooffff
This looks so good. It's OP in Arena, and I can see the potential for constructed as well.
