Finally, a good change. Still doing what it's aimed to do , but weaker to anything else. Like it's supposed to be! If I only build a taunt and heal deck sure I destroy most aggro stuff but I lose to anything else.
Also I don't get why ppl are saying it wasn't needed . The stats of QR are bad because the first half of the month most ppl play aggro to climb fast . Second most ppl on lower ranks don't play perfectly ,wich leads to a worse wr in general than aggro decks. On Legend ranks however it was the 2ndmost played archetype ,and had a 52% winratio . I know that's still not shockingly OP but again too good vs control, not bad enough vs anything else.
This is a horrible decision, not only that nothing can keep jade in check now (people will cry hard for idol nerf again), they also confirmed now that they have fucked up with the quest mechanic design and playtesting (AGAIN).
Quest rogue was necessary for a healthy metagame as we have had it until now and it was not overpowerded at all and had actually a lot of weak match up's but well.. now everyone can play his greediest shit - loose to jade and cry more for the next nerf. Well played Blizzard.
(btw. I wonder if they ever thought about actually important nerfs like Primordial Glyph ?!)
I see a lot of people saying that this nerf wasnt necessary and that the quest rogue was not OP etc. I totally agree with those people and the only reason i think that Blizzard chose to nerf (over-nerf?) this card 3 months after its release is for future design space with the upcoming expansions.

haha dream on!!
Blizz choose do to the nerf now just because they need to keep customers happy - customers are the wide playerbase - people between rank 25 and 18 which are actually the only people who cried for a nerf constantly because they do not have an idea of healthy metagame or gameplay in general. I mean yeah design a game for those people to keep them happy idc but maybe don't change cards for legend ranks so that we can keep our metagame (it was the best balanced since HS release btw), I would appreciate it.

A guy defending QR has his own QR decklist as his signature, go figure...
1 Mana "Win vs Control" is NOT healthy under any circumstances, you're just full of shit.
enjoy loosing to jade druid and go cry for the next nerf from now on. it is still 1 mana win vs control now but without ANY counter. wake up.

For a guy named dontbemad you sure seem to be mad. Quest Rogue was nerfed because of how frustrating it is to play against. As I said in another post this card was nerfed for the same reason (or at least similar ones) to Yogg. Both were very good cards at frustrating opponents (what with 1 mana 5/5 chargers and a card that can turn a game you were losing badly to one you are winning clearly). In fact, the fact that they were nerfed to curb frustration is further supported by the fact that decks that played Yogg didn't suffer a lot in terms of winrate (I seem to recall about 1% lower winrates post-nerf) and QR certainly isn't a broken deck in terms of winrate, but it evokes frustration to the opponent because of how draw-dependent it is. In other words, these two cards are nerfed to make them less frustrating for players.
Now onto the "enjoy losing to jade druid" comment, which is very strange considering QR was the one killing control decks so in the worst case this nerf just replaces the control killer deck. We can draw parallels between Jade Druid and Quest Rogue. The decks are similar in that they beat you with big minions, although there are differences as to how long it takes each deck to beat you. As a Druid you often have to draw a lot of your deck to beat your opponent and your win condition is very slow (comparatively speaking), whereas as a Rogue depending on your draw (and this part is very important since I think it is the main source of frustration), you could be playing against multiple 1 mana 5/5 as early as turn 5 (while in some other cases they won't even be finished by turn 7 or 8). You can see how it isn't difficult to understand the source of the frustration and how it is even more challenging for a control deck to pressure QR compared to Jade Druid. Besides I don't think the nerf was that harsh, you can still probably make a decent deck of QR, if anything this will only delay the win condition by a turn or two while also allowing for more opportunity for counter-play (since you have more time to draw and use cards like Dirty Rat or to pressure your opponent's life total).
again : I am not defending Q rogue and I do not care about it. I am a competitive player of this game so i do care about a healthy metagame for ladder AND tournament and we had it until now since there was a hard counter for EVERY kind of archetype or deck.
This is gone now with the Q rogue nerf since there is not a counter for jade druid and it will beat any kind of greedy control deck ALL the time and this is horrible.
If you do really think that Q rogue is still playable you really do not have an idea of this deck or competitive gameplay but well, you do not know it better so let me tell you : Q rogue is dead! No counter for jade = unhealthy metagame!
He already responded to another guy that he is TOTALLY NOT MAD!
A meta were Jadedruid and Control decks are running rampage , should be the perfect for QR? Nah I know that decks that hardcounter the dominant deck are usually too bad vs anything else , and that's how it's supposed to be. I also agree with your statement in general ( maybe we see more Blackknights, cause of Jade?) And i don't think Jade will be too dominant, aggro will stay strong.
Agree, Hearts stone just need ONE nerf: Charge, can not attack hero when summoned. Maybe keep one or two new minion with supercharge: can attack the hero (or maybe keep only Leroy). But those has to be really really thought deeply before put them in the game.
That's all, no more pirate warrior, totally another concept or Face Deck, murloc nerfed too etc.. etc..

That's BS and u know it . There's no way Jade Druid will be the new tier 0 deck . Also most Pro's seem to be quite happy about the nerf. At least from what I could see on twitter.

While it is true that quest rogue was likely the worst matchup of Jade Druid, it still has Counter decks. Midrange and aggro/Murloc Paladin, token Druid and according to vicious syndicate even secret mage and miracle rogue are all favoured against Jade Druid. The meta will not go out of control and Jade will not rule. But even if it gets unhealthy, they will nerf also Jade Druid. I think this is a healthy Change for the meta. I also guess the aggro quest rogue deck is done for good, but I still see a small chance that some skilled deckbuilder might come up with a midrange build that loses harder to aggro, but keeps the good matchups (although that will be a difficult Task since the bounce effects are anti tempo which is the core of many Rogue decks).

I'd say Midrange Murlocadin is a counter, since I have no problem to win against them....
Granted I haven't played quest rogue all that much, maybe 100 games or so, but I'm still pretty sure that this nerf more or less will remove the archetype from ladder. Aggro matchups, which were pretty bad to begin with, are going to be a shitload worse now, and so are midrange matchups. I suppose it's still going to be pretty good in tournament play as a control counter though.
I honestly don't really get this nerf, quest rogue isn't even close to being OP. I don't particularly like the deck, playing or facing it, but I still don't want to see unnecessary nerfs.

yeah sure, Frank just announced to quit his competitive HS career because of the nerf but Pro's are very happy! you know a shit about this game but who am I to tell you ? I just hit legend every season and finish top 300, beside of it I grind open cups daily and finished strivewire's weird wednesday cup on 5th place last night. I stand at 12 HCT points in 2017 but yeah I just talk bullshit if it comes to competitive HS so don't trust me and proceed to argue with me as a casual player - makes sence.

Seeing as they only adjusted the timing and left the reward as it was, I find this the most plausible explanation for what they did, that it was nerfed to deal with frustation.
Now onto the "enjoy losing to jade druid" comment, which is very strange considering QR was the one killing control decks so in the worst case this nerf just replaces the control killer deck.
The deck that stomps on Jade Druid the hardest though is Crystal Rogue, so in a way it kept Jade Druid in check as well. If Crystal Rogue declines, it is entirely plausible that Jade Druid will rise instead of Control.

This is what I find paradoxical about this nerf. Regardless of why it was nerfed ('overpowered' vs 'frustration' vs 'future design space'), if all this changes for Control is that they draw one or two more cards, what did it really accomplish? This nerf looks like it would do more to help Aggro than it does Control and Aggro doesn't need help.
The tears ofquest rogue players :) the card was busted from day 1 requires little to no skill to play with polarized matchups, and really not fun to play against, except when playing aggro and just wreacking them :)

No counter for Jade Druid? Is that really what you think? All fast decks are a counter to Jade Druid if piloted correctly. Besides this isn't about control decks being greedy, the decision to print Jade Idol giving Druid inevitability against control was made to force control decks to have proactive win conditions and no longer fully rely on locking their opponents out of the game like Control Warrior used to do. With Quest Rogue they just figured they pushed the envelope too far. Besides, both QR and JD are control killers, so swapping one for the other hardly seems to matter (in fact against JD you can probably go through more of your deck as the control player, thus giving you in my opinion more chances to win). You seem to mistake playable for competitive. I have no doubt that QR will probably lose some of its strength, but that doesn't make it completely unplayable, its just that people will play it less and it will be harder to get to the "1 mana 5/5 with charge" phase of your deck.
Here's the part that bothers me... I get the whole set to 5/5... but when you play spells to lower attack or polymorph and stuff like that, it should cancel the effect and not make a god damn 5/5 taunt from Hex. FIX IT!
That makes no sense. It says STRAIGHT UP "for the remainder of the game, your minions are 5/5." - This means that even a 10/10 minion becomes a weaker 5/5, so stop using spells to counter them when you know they don't bloody work.

everything more playable for everybody.
Since I start playing a dragon CW deck with 2 twilight drake, 1 cruel taskmaster and a gorehowl I am 5-0 vs jade on ladder, so its not that bad.
