As soon as this gets nerfed people will rush to play all the greedy decks they can make :(
The Rogue Quest was the only thing that kept greed in check .
That is not true but should be, this game always turn into an aggro fiesta, change that once will be great.
Just remember how great Shamanstone was after Karazhan. That was mainly a midrange meta. But not really a great one.
I found all the comments implying that no one was playing control anymore to be kind of silly. If there really was a trend indicating that they were being pushed out then Blizzard did the right thing by stepping in before they 'disappeared' but there would still have been hard core Control players who would have kept playing it just as there were apparently hard core Crystal Rogue players willing to keep playing into the Aggro counter match up. When Brode says that Crystal Rogue was being played disproportionately to it's win rate he can only really be saying that it was more popular than its win rate implied. The decline of Crystal Rogue, if it happens, will have an impact, probably seeing an increase of Jade Druid at least, as that was the deck stomped on the hardest as of late. I remember Shamanstone, though it kinda blended in with Jade Shaman for me when Gadgetzan came out.
On a general note, I found the following quote below from DataReaper report #54 to be rather interesting:
An interesting development is the performance of Crystal Rogue at lower levels of play compared to legend. At legend, it’s been consistently strong for quite some time, with many players having great success with the archetype. While it isn’t the strongest deck in the game, it is definitely amongst the strongest decks, and this hasn’t changed. However, at lower levels, the deck used to struggle quite a bit. Over the past few weeks, we’ve noticed that players have gotten better at playing the deck, and its performance outside of legend is beginning to converge with its performance at legend. This is a great example of how a deck with a steep learning curve can get better over time.
As if a 'brainless' deck could ever exhibit such a trend indicating that, one, it takes time for people to learn how to best pilot the deck, and two, that there is a higher skill ceiling than people gave it credit for.
My point was just that midrange or control meta doesn't necessarily mean it is a good one. At mid shaman peak, the meta could also have been better if there would've been different viable midrange decks aside from shaman.

I would agree, a meta with several viable midrange decks would be great. I enjoyed playing a midrange Grimy Goons Dragon Paladin deck I picked up off of a player named Quake who I saw playing it in one of Trump's videos. Was loads of fun and ran a lot of value, though I found I often won between turns 7 and 10. Most of my Crystal Rogue games were ending in similar time frames, so I kinda viewed it as midrange as well, though they aren't exactly the same. That said, one thing they do have in common is the idea of buffing your cards for value which was a big appeal for me to play them.
Control decks will stay where they are - midrange decks will see a boost.
Perhaps Jade Druid will see a revival
i think jade druid is perfect like it is right now, primordial drake is a good anti aggro source, and earthen scales gives you the anti-lethal on late game, still, jade its a rare hybrid good early tempo and late value generator deck.
I dont understand the rogue nerf, i mean, will be still bad against aggro and strong against control, if he has a good starting hand ( and experienced crystal rogue ), will be the same . the trouble is still the fact 1 mana 5/5 charge minions like, wow, OTK. I thought about why not like " 4 minions - 5/5 - cant charge " its a good way to at least have one turn to answer the 5 health board, sometimes rogue can choose on going face or clear board, then vanish, and all this lacks of real answers from the actual standard cards both in aggro and control decks
The nerf is still not implemented in-game. Come on Blizzard, I want my free 1600 dust!
I imagine they are waiting till after the tournaments are complete before implementing the change because there is no separate tournament client and the deck list submission deadlines are already past. While some may not believe the difference between 4 and 5 minions of the same name will be that much, I think it was respectful of Blizzard to wait till afterwards before making the change - my best guess is that it will happen sometime next week when they do their work on the next brawl such as Tuesday the 11th. DataReaper report 55 mentioned Crystal Rogue's tournament activity as the following:
Rogue also saw high representation at Lifecoach’s Summer Mansion tournament, with the self-ban format allowing players to exclude their own Crystal Rogue if the opponent’s lineup was abundant with counters. 14 of the 16 players brought Crystal Rogue, with Mr. Yagut being the only player bringing Miracle Rogue instead. Crystal Rogue is also the single most represented deck at the upcoming Shanghai Spring Championships, with 11 of the 16 players including the deck in their lineups. No other Rogue deck is set to make an appearance this weekend.
The HCT Shanghai Spring Championship is happening right now from July 7-9 and they are currently in the group stages according to the information I saw on Hearthstonetopdecks' HCT article which has the 16 pro player's decklists and group stage results:
Kept googling "When is Quest rogue nerf" found nothing.
Logged in this morning after 2 months of not playing, having just read about the small NERF and feeling positive, quest rogue was second game making me puke when quest is completed and cast on turn 4. when can I play the game without 6 board clears again?
