Not a mechanic for rogue? I don't see it that way, rogue has the easiest time abusing the mechanic. In a slower meta, rogue will easily be the king of the jade golem decks. In a fast meta, the whole mechanic will likely see little play.
Well, i guess Kabal classes are screwed.... no consistency and sacrificing your deck for barely any benefit, like ONLY the Kabal legendaries have a highlander mechanic.. great. i was so hyped for the Kabal but i guess i'll go Lotus.
Hard to tell if it will be any good. It's sluggish to say the least, and it should be UTTERLY Brann dependant... but spells can't work with it...
The shaman spell is good enough that, if Jade golem can ever become a thing, it should support it the right way because it's good for controlling purpose. Same goes for Druid ramp : More mana = more golems.
Aya is badly stated unfortunately. Jade cards seems slow overall so you might want a 4/4 or a 3/5 rather than a 5/3 for controlling purpose. But Justicar is played and known to settle a decent pression if left unchecked.
As a pure Rogue player, I just CAN'T wait to see our Jade golem spell/minion (it has better existing or I uninstall this game) and feel trolled not to know it like our 2 friend of clan classes.
Jade spirit by itself is a bit too weak even for the mechanic to me. I mean, 2/3 is such a giant tempo loss. But hey a 2/3 which summons a 6/6 looks immediately better.
The mechanic is super fun, I want to try it badly.
They seem so slow because we're seeing the commons. Aya is ridiculously fast if they get even a tiny amount of support (1 or 2 cost Jade Golem cards) and a late game 4 damage + 6/6 body on the field for 4 mana is ridiculous value.
I don't see it being played in Shaman or Druid over current decks because, well, Maly and Midshaman are much more powerful and consistent but cool mechanic? And awkward as all hell in Rogue.
Also death to control decks! Long live combo and midrange? lol thanks Blizz.
Really fitting of Shaman and Druid. It makes swarm decks even more scary (and that's why we need more AoE) but what about Rouge? Swarm has never been thematic with the class and hope they don't push it in that direction, they might have a special focus on the stealth mechanich for rouges but that'unimpressive imo.
Rogue benefits from using Shadowstep and Shadowcaster to get multiple golems out of the same card. I don't know if that synergy is enough to make it playable though.
I guess I would say that the golems aren't necessarily a swarm mechanic. It's almost more of a ramp mechanic since they start out with weak turns in the early game and then get strong later on. Rogue does have a lot of good early game tempo cards that could make up for the lack in tempo while you build up your golems.
There is also a Conceal synergy. You can just hide you late game Jade Golem(s) and finish your opponent with it.
Freeze Mage starting to sound like a good idea. Should stomp Grimy Goons and Lotus decks. I was wanting to play Priest, but, I'm not sure Priest can handle a stream of huge minions. It like Rogue/Druid/Shaman just got Jaraxxas.
RIP Rogue? Are you guys forgetting how Rogue can play cards that summon Jade Golems multiple times through cards like Shadowstep and Shadowcaster?
Not to mention Xaril. though obviously not as reliable... Ad some brewmasters... And you have the beginnings of a pretty sweet tempo deck. I mean Miracle rogue probably didn't get a boost, but They are giving rogue plenty of cards for a sweet tempo deck... At least if they get 1 or 2 other Jade Golem cards.
Am i the only one who seesJade Blossom and immediately want to make a Jade Druid Deck? The idea of ramping to offset the power loss from the early Jade card loss and then smashing your opponent in the late game seems like it could give us a competitive ramp druid deck.
Is this the real deal or just a theory cuz I don't think that you can summon more than 10 jade golems in one game and it would be too strong to deal with especially Druid would be a god. This mechanic is too strong for this game.
The mechanic isn't too strong, its just that if you can blend it right with the right control decks it will be outright scary to play against... Im in :D

What this tells me is that Rogue got left out of the gangs.
This is the most brilliant idea i've seen all day regarding the jade lotus mechanic. BRAAAVO sir.
Cool mechanic. Love how the art changes. Really hard to evaluate!

This mechanic is potentially broken. It all depends how many of these cards we will get.
The Jade Lotus use stealth and Jade Golems to crush their enemies. so This indicates that in order to do something you should protect jade golems

This is going to be an incredibly annoying mechanic. So snow-bally. I hope most of the cards are understatted.

Take a look at my card creations here in vojza's mini expansion topic.

Galavant Animation
Rogue's with Shadowstep, Shadowcaster,Unearthed Raptor,Gang Up could realy abuse this mechanic.

What happens if you bounce a Jade Golem? Does it transform when it lands in your hand or does it transform at the moment it's summoned to the board?
**EDIT**
Never mind the bouncing aspect. The mana cost never goes above 10.

Pretty scary.
Ok -tempo wise- early and midgame, it can go out of proportion late game.
