Cards like reno should never stay in the evergreen set. It is way to polarizing. There is no similar card in the standard set. In theory every strong basic card could be swapped in the right meta in the right expansion. Even very strong cards like brawl would see no play after an expansion in which nearly everyone plays just big minions or if in the same expansion warrior gets an effective one-sided board clear. Reno on the other hand forces it's own archetype. It is a funny one; I loved playing Handlock before it was nerfed into oblivion without any reason, so Renolock is also quite fun to play for me.
Anyway if cards like this need to stay in the meta than you can bring up the same argument for all the GvG mechs because without them the mech-mage and mech-shaman archetypes are dead. C'thun and all his servants would need a place in the evergreen set because obviously there is no C'thun archetype without C'thun. Don't go with argument "but C'thun is just another controll deck, while Reno is his whole own thing". This is just nonesense, since all successfull Reno decks are controll as well, it just has a very powerfull healing card in it.
-> The only thing the meta needs for slow decks are healing cards which replace the fading reno. You can allways revisit reno in wild. + if you are all about highlander decks, the last expansion should have shown that blizzard will release more of those cards, so don't worry.

Who can take your trash out? Stomp it down for you? Shake the plastic bag and do the twisty thingy, too?
My only issue with Reno is that long games in the ladder are a problem. That's why everybody is playing aggro when laddering, because the win rate isn't important, stars/hour is, and you can cram 15 games in an hour with a pirate deck.
Am I the only one who's utterly disgusted by these types of responses? It makes it sound like you're a chinese farmer or something. What about playing the game for the fun of it, instead of maximizing the stars/hour and other bullshit like that? What about enjoying "long games" because they're the types of games that require thinking and planning ahead? You know, using your brain to play instead of vomiting hand on board and concede if you don't win by turn 7?

I know right?! It's almost like people are different or something and they enjoy different things! Crazy! How could anyone possibly have fun doing things differently than you?!
Oh wait, that's right, people DO have more fun doing different things. People DO play Hearthstone on the bus or as a quick break between tasks. So yeah, sorry, some people don't have as much time to play Hearthstone and need to get the most out of the time they do have.
You know, maybe consider having some thought for other people's situations and not just being a jerk cause it makes you feel superior?
No, decks that use Reno are over-reliant on the card to win the game. Reno can reward mistakes which would normally lose someone the game. The card also promotes dull matches since you need to be super aggressive early on to win against a Reno.
No. Reno Jackson is exactly the kind of game-shaping card which ought to leave the Standard. At least, it ought to leave for at least a year or two.
That said, there needs to be something for a neutral big heal. With both Reno and Antique Healbot out of the set, hopefully the new set will include something which can fill a similar role in the game. Funnel Cakes isn't quite enough.
With crap like pirate warrior, you need a big heal by turn 6. Usually this can turn the game around and punish aggro decks, and at times you can still loose. It is a card all classes can use and helps control decks/deck building ideas. I would vote to keep it. Only aggro players would be against it.
Can't speak for the community as a whole but there have been a lot of pro reno threads recently. At least some of the community wants reno to remain because it offers a whole other deckbuilding style. Team 5 are clearly embracing the concept for the next 2 years.
When I moaned about the recent Yogg nerf, one of the arguments I encountered in it's defence was along the lines of 'if one card can ruin another deck's entire strategy, it's bad for the game'. That's exactly what Jackson does yet people want it to be made eternal, wtf?
So if i made a warrior about cycling and buffing weapons. Swamp Ooze and Harrison would both obliterate my deck strategy. therefor those cards are op. Nerf ooze confirmed.
If i made a deck of all 1 drops. Maelstrom Portal, Demonwrath, Consecration, Pyro, Fan of Knives. Any aoe ruins the decks entire strategy. nerf all aoes.
if i make a deck about doing nothing. Minions ruin my decks entire strategy by killing me. Nerf all minions.
The essential basis of that statement; any card can and should be nerfed.
It needs to stay in classic whether blizz likes it or not, they opened a can of worms with releasing the kabal and reno is a prime member of it.
And Tunnel Trogg is a prime member of Aggro Shaman, but I don't see anyone begging for Tunnel Trogg to stay evergreen.
but tunnel trogg doesnt create a whole deck style around it what would vanish with its rotate
not so sure about that... Overload cards look a lot more appealing when trogg exists, Unbound Elementalcertainly wasn't good enough for them to see play but they see play with trogg.

That is an interesting sentiment with little basis in reality. Blizz will do whatever they are going to do whether we like it or not. Also I disagree. I think adding more less bomby highlander support would help to push it as well. They don't even need to have the highlander verbiage on them. Cards like Manic Soulcaster for example.
It is very obvious that the League of Explorers adventure did not sell very good, so Blizzard made an expansion where one third of the classes MUST own Reno if you want to play decks they INTENDED you to play. They don't really care about the game, the lore, or players. It's all about the money. But I'm not judging - they're a huge company and the goal of a huge company is to make money, right? It's just kids and sheep that don't get it, and then they make threads like this.
Wait...whaa---
If you're familiar with other Hearthstone forums, especially r/Hearthstone, League of Explorers is widely recognized as the best set ever released. The Discover keyword, introduced in LoE, has been used in every set following it (compare it with TGT's inspire and joust mechanics, which are still TGT exclusive). League of Explorers has probably sold the best out of any adventure.
Furthermore, Reno Jackson is only first wing. If they wanted to make money that badly, they would have promoted Elise Starseeker or Arch-Thief Rafaam. 700 gold is easy to get if you want that Reno.
Only kids and sheep would write bullshit like this before doing the research. Go home, kid.
i see absolutely no reason it should? There's always Wild mode with all of the cards

good bye Reno, you'll find a lot of rare stuff in wild to get rich anyway.
need take time to make new pic and signature using the new cards.

The cards that don't rotate out of standard are Basic and Classic. All adventures and expansions are set to rotate to Wild at some point.
