As for this card... I just don't like that THIS is the paladin legendary. It's really disappointing to see another control card for them. Healadin is back I guess...

If you're happy and you know it... well that's good :)
It does seem like a card where they just said fuck the lore, lets make rag a paladin cause we can. I'm all for new stuff and like the card, but its obvious that "Ragnaros, Lightlord" clearly doesn't fit wow lore in any way shape or form. I don't get why they didn't just make a new character for the card, why use rag at all? Seems a bit pointless.
On to the card. It seems like it will definitely see play. Like many people have mentioned healadin is gonna be a thing. Too bad it seems tough to see a situation where you would play this and forbidden healing in the same deck. My guess is this card will make forbidden healing less appealing.
so far, Ragnaros, Lightlord feels like it has the most value of any individual card out of the set so far. now yes, the old gods are super powerful but they require cards to be played before hand to make them strong. this guy will auto heal you or a friendly up a lot. plus as the major bonus side to this card, it can heal itself right back to full after a trade. your 8/8 has to trade into a 7 attack minion. then it heals itself back to full. you tell me that isn't value in a nutshell?
not to say the card doesn't have problems but this guy is strong and a nice addition to paladin as a whole.
You seem unable to grasp the point, so let me spell it out to you: them owning the IP is no reason to suspend all critical thinking and blindlessly swallow whatever idea they come up with. Stupid things are stupid, who owns the IP doesn't matter.
I understood you the first time. I simply disagree. "Stupid," in this case, is a matter of opinion. Some people think this card is amusing.
I think it's great that Hearthstone has the freedom to play around with the more absurdly GrimDark tropes of WoW.
Trying to strawman the WoW lore isn't gonna work either. GrimDark != Logic.
Once again, we are not engaging in a logic contest here. Continually crying "strawman" only makes you look like an ignorant troll. In fact, that is how I'm going to treat you. Ignored, buh-bye.

While I generally like this card, I am still not sure about it. While is has amazing stats for mana cost compared to healbot, it comes out much latter and is not as flexible as healbot. When you put down healbot, you generally are not too worried if it gets removed cheaply, but if you lose this card to cheap removal you will be quite sad. This presents a conundrum, generally you want to use healing cards when you are in some danger, but you will want to think careful about when you put your lightlord down so it is not easily removed. This means Ragnaros is a bit of a win more card. You put it down when they have exhausted all their removal options, which usually means you are winning. If you put this card down casually it will often get removed (there are plenty of cheap removal other than BGH), and you just lost an entire turn of tempo.

The point is Falbrogna its still their IP..its their game they can do whatever they want with it doesnt matter how stupid it is and how little thinking they put into their decisions. You either accept it or be in torture when ever someone plays this different version of rag against you and believe me they will cause this card is not stupid it looks awesome and i love its effect. When i sees this im not thinking of it as Ragnaros the firelord im thinking of it as a completely different Rag from a different wow universe that at the moment only exist in the minds of the creators of the wow universe and i love the wow universe and lore..but im also open minded to the thinking blizzard puts into its content for a lighthearted game like hearthstone that gets played in a tavern. Accept that or be sour every time you see this card.

A fitting end for a worthless series of posts, good job.

Who cares about the lore anyway.
HS has never taken itself seriously.
My only complaint about the card is, why is it not a dragon.
Best class legendary from WOG yet. A very solid legendary. It's a much better Lightwell.
Ragnaros, Lightlord Lightwell
Can attack Can't attack
can heal for 8 can heal for 3
Heal at the end of your turn Heal at the start of your turn
So far Ragnaros, Lightlord > Hallazeal the Ascended > Herald Volazj > Xaril, Poisoned Mind

Inb4 Ragnaros the Starlord
I will say this: at least we still have cards without people/creatures with tentacles for arms and eyes in unhealthy places. It's getting annoying.
It is a good legendary for control paladin, other than that mediocre card.
actually a very viable card..sure blizzard is pushing for control games....yeah for control its gonna be staple card....dont have to talk about arnea
just happy both ragnaros are powerful ...cute....playable..woth crafting or having in pack
To be honest I dislike this card, it's a joke to the lore, a complete one.
Pitch of deathcap, heel of shoe!
