And then there's also that other guy without any critical thinking whatsoever: "It's their IP, so who cares if they make a Chocolate Lord that throws candy bars at you!"
This thread is quite the melting pool of ignorance.
Ahh, the Internet. Where everyone who disagrees with you is ignorant.

Nice Ad Hominem, you sure proved the validity of your argument.
Further proof Blizzard does not care about any lore whatsoever over the almighty dollar. Their merger with Activision really changed them as a company.
The rate at which blizzard is releasing cards now how long before they would have released every single material (character) from the wow lore if everything was original? 6-7 years? What do they do then make up characters or should they just stop releasing new content till wow gets more content? In a card game like this that is expanding so fast with a limited lore things has too be made up and used together with the original content from the lore so that the game can last longer. This is an interesting design on how blizzard think a different rag would look like and work and they should know they created the original rag.

I dont think i would want too play if all original content has been used and expansions has all made up stuff. So cards like this mixed with original lore cards is pretty much fine for me.
I wanted to say "why would anyone play this over Ragnaros?", but then I noticed that it can attack. It's pretty good actually, but again, for the wrong class kinda. Paladin already has access to Guardian of Kings, which in a pinch is more reliable and cheaper than this card, since this can potentially heal a damaged minion.
Right. For the reliability, one turn earlier before Tirion, and being about to duck BGH, I would almost prefer GoK. Given that - this legendary kinda sucks (even though it IS cool).
I love how we corrupted Hogger and everyone was like "yeah sure" and then we twisted Ragnaros and people are like "noooo my lore"
The hogger twist is completly fine, its very similar to the old card and its believable...
Ragnaros is a HUGE part of wow history, the changes to this card make no sence and are effectively a middle finger to wow lore...
I think the devs will look back and regret this card, id like to see some common sence and have this card changed before realease. Dont get me wrong i like the card, but it can't have the ragnaros name.

I disagree because I see HS cards as a fun reference to the game lore, but offers nothing to it. If we stuck with stuff that's only cannonical, than we would be out of design room pretty quick. This is the perfect format for "what-if" scenarios... a lot more than making an entire expansion on one. *cough cough Warlords*
limited to pally make no sense at all, neutral would be fine, wtf.
I would have been infinitely more happy if this was the Priest Legendary rather than the Paladin one.
It's April Fools joke for sure and good one since it exists over 20 pages of theorycrafting.
TOO SOON EXECUTUS! YOU POSTED THIS JOKE TOO SOON!
Let's go full-on reverse mode and give it a woman's voice too.
Can't wait for Grommash Heavenscream and Queen Krush.
Queen Krush lmao

A really good card. Its going to fit perfectly in my Reno paladin deck.
Not all who wander are lost.
This card is a really bad idea.
And Ben made it worse by posting...

As long as he shoots giant balls of light at whatever he heals I'm down with this.
