Most Maylrogue use cards like Auctioneer for card draw so in that case, yes the deal two damage would be very useful as an end game finisher. But it isn't the only use for the Malyrogue archetype.
We can see that there is flawed logic in both of the arguments. While you two have some decent points lets shine a third opinion on the subject.
I think this might be the most powerful rogue legendary that we have gotten since the game has begun. Even if the card IS weak as a 3/2, the two poison cards make up for it. How much more powerful would it be if it was a 4/4?
The two poison spells can and WILL in most cases be a powerful board control. Now, because the poisons are random, there is a chance that you don't get the card that you need. Yes there is a chance that you can play into an Auctioneer and get some amazing card advantage. But that is one of the only ways that rogue can draw cards with the exception of a weakened FoK because in standard, no one can play muster or Implosion.
Now in response to the person who seems to think that Warrior decks play Arcanit Reaper. Wha? A 5 mana 5/2 weapon isn't worth it. Might as well play Gorehowl. And in the case of warrior you will see Brawl instead of Arcanit Reaper.
Now to the person who is complaining about the rogue legendary. Since when has Rogue been a staple in play? The only decks we have seen from Rogue have been Tinkers, which is rotating out of standard, and Malyrogue which is losing one of its most powerful heal cards, Antique Heal Bot. If you think that this card will make the Malyrogue archetype more powerful it actually balances it out. All other classes have some way to prevent face damage. If you need examples I can reiterate in another reply.
As someone who has played since GVG came out I'm actually excited that we are getting a good legendary for rogue. Usually Warlock and Warrior and Mage get the good legendaries. But hey it's about time that rogue has stepped up.
For those who said this card stats is decent/acceptable. Just look at Mechanical Yeti 4mana 4/5 DR: 1spare part, this new card 4mana 3/2 BC+DR : 2spare part.
So essentially, by playing this card, you will be paying 1.5 To 2 mana more because of the missing stats just to generate that extra spare part, which itself cost 1mana. Giving you a total of 2.5 to 3mana worth of tempo lost.
M.yeti, common card, Xaril CLASS LEGENDARY?
Xaril, Poisoned Mind was made for STANDARD play. WILD is an after thought. No mater how much math or complaining you guys do it's not going to change that. You can not compare this card to cards like Mechanical Yeti or any GvG or Nax card for that matter, because they won't be playable in the new STANDARD format.
You have literally just made a pointless argument.
It's a fair argument because whether Standard or Wild, cards are theoretically designed around the same baseline in power level.
Obviously some utterly broken cards like Piloted Shredder slipped through the cracks but that's the intention, anyway.
Now when it comes to Xaril, Poisoned Mind, he is clearly aggressively overcosted for his stat line.
For 2 mana, you get a 3/2.
For 2 more mana, you get the privilege of drawing 2 possibly useful small-effect cards.
At 3/3, he would be quite good and might even be run in aggressive decks.
At 3/2, he's balanced at best and will see play in combo/control more than aggro.
It's also worth noting that he shines best against control decks like Warrior and Priest. It scarcely matters what you play on turns 2-4 against these decks because they will remove everything anyway. Where he hurts is against aggro decks, because not only will they just ignore him and go face (low threat profile), he also can't even clear a Leper Gnome without dying himself (you don't gain an advantage by having the trading priority). But Rogue has never had a huge problem in controlling aggro decks early on...Backstab, SI:7 Agent, Deadly Poison, and Fan of Knives see to that.
Rogue is a class that is tempo-efficient but card-inefficient. Sprint aside, Rogue's main problem is running out of cards. It's fair to say that's half the reason Azure Drake and Bloodmage Thalnos are staples. And Xaril helps with that.
As for myself, I'm going to try him in a combo/control deck using things like Undercity Huckster and Shado-Pan Rider. He will probably be useful, but not the sort of thing you throw into every deck. Like most class legendaries, except, you know, Tirion Fordring.
Don't see why this effect and statline deserves a legendary status. But maybe they put out some interesting Rogue for it or it already works with the current stuff, dunno. That it has deathrattle is probably the most relevant right now. I think it's an auto include in almost all Rogues (but there aren't any), but it's just an okay card. This could have easily been a rare or epic.
Also I did a similar card once, and I saw others doing it also... I guess it's a decent idea afterall.
This card is fair. Although i'd like it to be a 3/3 but I think that will make him an auto include legendary. He is still very good. The toxins are on par with 1 mana spells. Rogues benefit alot with cheap spells plus brann and raptor synergy is nice. This card will see play on standard.
It seems each class will get class-specific Klaxxi Paragon legendary (there are 9 klaxxi paragons in WoW, same amount as classes). I wonder how close will they follow their in-WoW abilities.

Based on what? We've only seen one Paragon member so far, we've already seen legendaries from Shaman and Priest.
Well, 1 more attack and removal of the shadow step toxin would make him viable. Removal of the mana cost wouldn't make him op. But he'd be a solid card. His problem is his stats don't let him trade at the 4 mana slot, so you're spending 4 mana to LOSE tempo and gain a spare part, and the toxin cards are not that good. That and, god forbid you get the shadow step one, which discounts the creature by 1, not 2 like shadow step (Due to the mana cost of the toxin).
this card is not overcosted his body 3/2 costs 2 mana and every toxin is 1 mana so the card is at 4 mana. his toxis are nt like spare parts.... spare parts worth like 0.5 mana and yeti gives a spare part to you opponent also. for example this toxin that is 1 mana deal 2 damage is like that spell for hunter arcane shot was it? the one that does 2 damage for 1 mana.... this card is fairly costed. like 80% of the comments on cards in this forum are from people who dont know what there talking about. no offense

No, you're very right.
Most of the people commenting negatively on Xaril, Poisoned Mind. Either don't play Rogue, don't know how to play Rogue, or they just think they know how to play Rogue.
Xaril, Poisoned Mind wasn't designed to be a stand alone card and that's what everyone wants it to be.

What do you mean by standalone card? I'd play it on turn 4 on an empty board. It may seem as a tempo loss but I have my hero power (1 damage on demand), Backstab, SI7 and so many other cards to keep up with the tempo. My problem lies though with that 4/10 in C'thun Druids (Assassinate?)

It looks okay, overall. People are most likely overhyping the card and not being critical enough of its abysmal statline though, imo.
Actually not quite.

Just a thought.
A 4 mana 4/2 that dies to a 1 drop? It's hard to see this seeing a lot of play. 3/3 or 2/4 would have been much better.
Also, it would have been better for the battlecry to be "Discover a toxin".
We can see that there is flawed logic in both of the arguments. While you two have some decent points lets shine a third opinion on the subject.

Legend Rogue player here.

There should've been a toxin for weapons. It would've made a lot of sense. Overall I'm pretty stoked about this card!
Card is under budgeted. Super slow card and the extra cards are low impact AND rng.

Play this with brann and baron rivendare on the field with a waiting auctioneer in hand and a Thuarissen = the absolute dream lol.
